-11- Dorasi

-11- Dorasi

Sister Zou and Tomato openly engaged in a brawl. Of course, while it wasn't a fight, it was more like one-sided abuse from Sister Zou. After all, although Tomato was two or three times larger than Sister Zou, he didn't actually fight back or hit the woman. Perhaps finding Tomato's suggestion infuriating, Lu Kai and Wanfeng didn't react immediately. It wasn't until Sister Zou whacked Tomato on the head with a rolled-up album a dozen times, then threw it aside and prepared to end Tomato's life with a paint can that they were forced to intervene and rush over to separate the two. Tomato was clearly unconvinced, rubbing the large bump on his head, his face filled with grievance. "I... I didn't say I was going to take her copyright! I just had to be prepared!" Sister Zou's voice shook the tabletop. "Why are you pretending? What are you thinking? Do you think others can't see it?" Tomato turned to look at Lu Kai, clearly expecting him to explain himself, but he hesitated and said nothing. Tomato glared. "You think that of me, too?" Before Lu Kai could reply, Tomato shoved him away. "Fine, you're all goddamn saints, and I'm the villain!" Tomato glanced around at them. "Then tell me, you great saints, what should we do now?" No one in the room responded for a moment. Tomato snorted, "You're all just so goddamn hypocritical." He grabbed his backpack from the table and stormed out. Tomato's outburst shattered the rare harmonious atmosphere in the studio. Sister Zou took a deep breath and stormed off. Lu Kai, Wanfeng, and Zhao Jinghuan were left to face the fallen tables and chairs, scattered documents, and coffee that had splashed onto the floor in an inexplicably artistic manner. The three of them silently cleaned up the mess. Wanfeng went downstairs to take out the trash, leaving Lu Kai and Zhao Jinghuan alone. Zhao Jinghuan wasn't quite used to being alone with Lu Kai yet, and she suddenly felt a little overheated. Before she could think of what to say to ease the ambiguous atmosphere that was probably only felt by her, Lu Kai suddenly apologized to her: "I'm sorry, Jinghuan... You just joined the company, and something like this happened in the studio." "Ah..." Zhao Jinghuan was a little surprised. She just felt a little unlucky, and she never thought Lu Kai was at fault. But she was really not good at dealing with such situations. She just said dryly, "It's okay." It sounded extremely forced. Lu Kai cheered up: "But don't worry, even if we don't have Dorasi, we still have Tomato, Evening Breeze, and me." He stood up and picked up the "...

Sister Zou and Tomato started fighting openly. Of course, it was more like Sister Zou's one-sided abuse of Tomato. After all, although Tomato was two or three times bigger than Sister Zou, he didn't really fight back or hit the woman.

Perhaps because they felt that Tomato's suggestion was really irritating, Lu Kai and Wan Feng did not react immediately. It was not until Sister Zou hit Tomato on the head with a rolled-up picture album more than ten times, then threw the picture album away and prepared to use a paint can to end Tomato's life that they had to step down and rush over to pull the two apart.

Tomato was clearly unconvinced. He rubbed the bump on his head, his face full of grievance. "I... I didn't say I was going to take her copyright away! I just want to be prepared for both scenarios!"

Sister Zou's voice shook the tabletop: "Why are you pretending? What are you thinking? Do you think others can't see it?"

Tomato turned to look at Lu Kai, obviously wanting him to explain, but Lu Kai hesitated and said nothing. Tomato glared at him, "You think the same of me?" Before Lu Kai could reply, Tomato pushed him away.

"Alright, you're all saints, and I'm just a villain!" Tomato looked around at them. "So, you great saints, tell me, what should we do now?"

No one responded in the room for a moment. Tomato snorted, "They are all so fucking hypocritical." Then he picked up the backpack on the table and left angrily.

Tomato's outburst shattered the rare harmonious atmosphere in the studio. Sister Zou took a deep breath and stormed off, leaving Lu Kai, Wan Feng, and Zhao Jinghuan to face the toppled tables and chairs, scattered documents, and coffee that had fallen to the floor and splattered in an inexplicably artistic manner.

The three of them silently cleaned up the mess. Wanfeng went downstairs to take out the trash, leaving only Lu Kai and Zhao Jinghuan in the room.

Zhao Jinghuan wasn't used to being alone with Lu Kai yet, and she suddenly felt a little hot. Before she could think of what to say to ease the ambiguous atmosphere that was probably only felt by her, Lu Kai suddenly apologized to her:

"I'm sorry, Jinghuan... You just joined the company and something like this happened in the studio."

"Ah..." Zhao Jinghuan was a little surprised. She just felt that she was a little unlucky and never thought that Lu Kai had done anything wrong. However, she was really not good at dealing with such situations. She just said dryly, "It's okay." It sounded extremely reluctant.

Lu Kai cheered up. "But don't worry. Even without Dorasi, we still have Tomato, Evening Breeze, and me." He stood up and picked up the "Jiji Dog" on the cabinet. "I'm sure someone has told you that the first toy I made sold hundreds of thousands."

The way he deliberately puffed out his chest and raised his head was a little cute, and Zhao Jinghuan couldn't help but smile: "Yes, I know. You are the only popular designer in the company."

Lu Kai nodded: "So don't worry, the studio will not fall apart no matter what. I promised you that we will give you a platform to enter the industry, and this will never change." His eyes fell on the freckles on the shelf, and a trace of sadness suddenly appeared on his face.

When his gaze moved away from Freckles, Lu Kai realized that Zhao Jinghuan was looking at him. He forced a smile awkwardly: "I'm fine, I just suddenly remembered that I also promised Dorasi..." He couldn't continue, which made him even sadder.

Lu Kai never imagined that the promises he had made, those expectations for the future that he thought would eventually come true, would one day become unspeakable lies.

…………

At night, while transforming into a night rider and waiting for food at Pinhai Pavilion, Zhao Jinghuan complained about why Ji Anya had to wait for a long time every time she came to your house. At the same time, he talked about what happened during the day. When talking about Lu Kai's apology to him, Zhao Jinghuan said: "When Lu Kai is sad, there is a faint sense of brokenness."

"Is it that shattering feeling of doing a backflip and landing on your face with blood splattering everywhere?" Ji Anya rolled her eyes at her. "Next time, listen to less novels while delivering food."

Ji Anya paused for a moment and then said, "I think Tomato did the right thing."

Zhao Jinghuan understood what Ji Anyaya meant. If they were not friends but simply partners, then Tomato's methods could probably be considered acceptable.

But Lu Kai, Sister Zou, and even Wan Feng, who had been quiet all this time, obviously didn't think so.

Zhao Jinghuan even had a feeling that when it came time to make a decision, even Tomato himself might not be as free of burden as he appeared.

She and Ji Anya were chatting idly when they heard a waiter in his early twenties complaining to the store manager nearby, "Can someone get the girl at table 13 to take the exclamation point off her head? Every time she sits there, I feel like she's calling me. I walk by and have to turn around every time I glance over there. I keep turning around, and I'm almost getting a stiff neck. These ten minutes of work have made me more tired than most of the day."

Zhao Jinghuan was stunned for a moment, then stood on tiptoe to look into the room. Sure enough, he saw a booth near the inside. A lonely exclamation mark stuck out from the back of the sofa, shaking slightly in the air from the air conditioner.

Ji Anya also remembered what Zhao Jinghuan had said before and looked inside. "Ah, is that Dorasi?"

Zhao Jinghuan asked Ji Anya to go inside and explore the way for herself to see if Dorasi came alone or with someone else. Not long after, Ji Anya came back and said that Dorasi was the only one there, but she was waiting for someone.

Zhao Jinghuan suddenly felt a surge of thoughtless courage, gritted his teeth and rushed in, even forgetting that he was still wearing Meituan's knight uniform.

Not to mention the knight was dressed, he didn't even take off his helmet. Ji Anya didn't react at all, and just watched her go in. Zhao Jinghuan hadn't walked far when Ji Anya heard the store manager say in her earphone: "Oh my god, be careful, a rider is coming in to fuck the head chef!"

Ji Anya wondered which rider was so domineering. She turned her head to look into the house and found that it seemed that only Zhao Jinghuan had walked in, and he walked in with a very aggressive look.

Seeing all the colleagues heading towards Zhao Jinghuan with nervous faces, Ji Anya rushed over and grabbed Zhao Jinghuan.

"Clothes."

Zhao Jinghuan was stunned for a moment before she remembered that riders really couldn't just rush in. When she was in a dilemma, Ji Anya took off Zhao Jinghuan's helmet, took off her work clothes, and put them on her outside.

The store manager's voice came from the earphones: "Why is there an undercover agent?"

Ji Anya explained in the earphone: "My friend is going in to see a friend and will be out soon." Then she pushed Zhao Jinghuan, who was dressed like a dumpling, inside.

Zhao Jinghuan was still a little hesitant, probably 96% courage and 4% hesitation. After being pushed by Ji Anyaya, that 4% was sublimated into a kind of desperate power.

A rider in cycling clothes breaks through the blockade of waiters in a high-end restaurant to meet a woman he has never met before.

I think there were few such passionate and fearless plots when East Germany and West Germany were divided.

Amidst the hostility of the waiters and the greetings of the riders, Zhao Jinghuan walked through tables 8, 9, and 12 and sat down opposite Dorasi at table 13.

Doraxi, who was picking her nails, was obviously startled when she suddenly saw someone sitting down.

At this moment, Zhao Jinghuan realized that he had not decided what to say, and the 4% hesitation that had briefly disappeared suddenly returned.

The two faced each other, staring blankly and awkwardly for a full two seconds before Zhao Jinghuan spoke: "I... I'm Lu Kai's newly hired employee."

Dorasi nodded. She opened her mouth, but no words came out immediately. Only a strange guttural sound came out. This embarrassing mistake obviously made her panic. Her red face even began to turn purple, so purple that Zhao Jinghuan suddenly thought: "This is a real tomato."

Dorasi's face flushed purple, he cleared his throat, and after calming down a bit, he spoke again:

"I already... I already know that a new generation of people from the Ashes has just arrived. In the moments before the dawn, your arrival fills my heart with joy. I am willing to accept you as you ascend the stairs of Doram. However, the hymn of rebirth does not sound without reason. And you still need to respond to the call of fate and prove your worth."

"What?"
