Escape from the Floating Battle 2

Escape from the Floating Battle 2

She simply changed her face, then smashed the jar next to her, waking up Ce Mie from his sleep.

"Damn it! Who disturbed my sweet dream!"

"It's me."

Ce Mie spat and looked at Huai Wen with disdain: "You bullshit! What are you, disturbing my sweet dream! You're infuriating me! I was dreaming about escaping! I'm going to eat you!"

Huaiwen shrugged: "You can eat me, but I'm quite curious, how come you, a demon...king, can't break free of this cage?"

These words immediately ignited Ce Mie's anger, and he turned to berate Xuan Ye. He said that Xuan Ye's broken cage was a game, and he couldn't get out unless he cleared it! Only idiots would play his game, looking for trouble! He didn't want to play it!

Huaiwen nodded meaningfully, then coaxed, "Then I want to play. How about I show you how?"

“You—” Ce Mie sized up Huai Wen, “You look stupid! You definitely won’t get out!”

Huaiwen stood in front of Cemie with a worried expression: "Alright then, since you don't want to go out anyway, I'll go and try it myself."

Seeing that Huaiwen was about to leave, Cemie quickly followed, walked in front of her, and shouted arrogantly, "I want to see what you're made of!"

Seeing his expression, Huaiwen muttered, "There's a reason why he can't be the Demon King."

As they walked, they came across a door, and Huaiwen immediately understood. It was the door to the game, and also the door to escape the cage.

The door creaked open.

Huaiwen and Cemie went in, and they were somewhat surprised because the layout of the game was exactly the same as their layout in the cage, as if they had never come in to play at all.

Ce Mie then called Xuan Ye an idiot, mocking him for not even knowing how to design a game. Just as Huai Wen was about to gag him, a loud bang was heard.

"Stop talking, listen to what it sounds like."

"It's my anger! Damn it—"

The voice grew clearer and clearer, and Huaiwen's expression changed drastically. She shouted, "Run!"

Before Ce Mie could react, Huai Wen had already rushed forward. He was just mocking Huai Wen for making a fuss when he saw a huge black shadow rush out from the other side of the corridor—it was Rolling Stone!

This terrified Ce Mie so much that he turned and ran away, cursing as he went: "You motherfucker, all you know is how to run away! Didn't your father teach you to respect the elderly and care for the young?!"

Huaiwen didn't pay attention to any of that. She turned her head to look at the rolling stone, which was just right, leaving no gaps for anyone to survive. The corridor seemed endless, as if they could never finish running through it.

But if they keep running like this, they'll eventually die from exhaustion, and then be crushed to death by rolling stones.

We need to think of a solution!

Huaiwen had a sudden inspiration. She turned around and looked at Ce Mie, asking, "You seem to be hard to kill."

Ce Mie was still very proud of his rapid self-healing ability: "Nonsense! I'm immortal!"

"ah--"

Accompanied by Ce Mie's scream, the rolling stone slid forward a few meters before stopping, with Ce Mie's blood dripping onto the ground.

Flat-faced Ce Mie, hanging on the rolling stone, fell down as the stone stopped. His body swayed, his eyes rolled, he was dizzy and on the verge of death.

But what Huaiwen saw was that even in his terrible state, those bodies were beginning to heal themselves. Soon, Ce Mie, supporting himself on the stone bricks, got up, put his hands on his hips, and started cursing at Huaiwen!

"Alright, alright, you're not dead yet."

"What if he/she dies!"

"Then you deserved to die."

"Fuck you—"

Ce Mie was speechless, so Huai Wen used acupressure to silence him, leaving him only able to flailing his arms in frustration. Huai Wen was determined to find a way to slay the demon.

The two continued walking forward, when the corridor suddenly darkened, and they became alert. It grew increasingly dark ahead, and Ce Mie, disliking darkness, conjured a ball of cyan-orange fire.

"boom--"

Countless bats swarmed towards them, attacking and biting them! Especially the one with the light on, Ce Mie, was bitten so badly that he screamed in pain!

Huaiwen immediately conjured a protective shield, which saved him from being hit and bitten. After Cemie had been bullied enough, she made a protective shield for him as well.

Huaiwen had never seen such a foolish demon... especially one who had hanged itself to claim it was the Demon King. Helplessly, she asked, "Tell me the truth, how good are your demonic arts?"

Ce Mie stroked his entire body: "I am the greatest in the world!"

"Then how come you can't even beat a bat!"

Ce Mie was furious when he heard this. He was a dignified demon king! He couldn't let a little demon look down on him. It would be so embarrassing if word got out!

"Watch me!"

Ce Mie increased the intensity of the Green Orange Flame in his hand and roasted the bats that were attacking his protective shield right there on the spot! The crackling sounds were the sounds of the bats being roasted.

He then picked up two more and chewed them repeatedly, saying, "See? I'm the best in the world."

Huaiwen was satisfied that the bats had been cleaned up. But then she saw Ce Mie gnawing on a bat and unconsciously frowned.

Ce Mie glanced at her: "What do you want to eat?"

Huaiwen shook his head: "It seems you really like to eat it grilled."

Ce Mie snorted and continued eating, chattering away. Huai Wen caught bits and pieces of what he was saying: Huai Wen didn't know anything about delicious food, was incredibly stupid, and couldn't beat that group of bats.

"Since you like eating them, then we'll only eat bats from now on."

"Bats are no match for humans."

Huaiwen stopped, staring sternly at Ce Mie who was eating bats. She warned, "If you eat people again, I will kill you."

"Who... are you?" Ce Mie suddenly realized.

Huaiwen no longer bothered to hide it; she removed her mask, revealing her true face. Ce Mie was so startled that he took several steps back, shouting, "You haven't been killed by Xuan Ye yet?"

Huaiwen joked, "Well, that's how I ended up here after escaping."

Ce Mie immediately burst into laughter, cursing Huai Wen for deserving his punishment! He also felt that it was gratifying that Xuan Ye had not yet killed Huai Wen; he enjoyed seeing Xuan Ye suffer a setback.

Ignoring Ce Mie's erratic behavior, Huai Wen continued walking. Ce Mie eagerly followed, demanding to know how Huai Wen had made Xuan Ye suffer. But Huai Wen told him to shut up.

This time they came to a crossroads.

Going in that direction is the only way to avoid a dead end; that's very important.

"Where are we going?" Ce Mie asked, licking his hand.

Huaiwen turned to stare at him, jokingly suggesting they go their separate ways. Ce Mie objected. He cursed Huaiwen for being heartless; he had just saved her!

Huaiwen sighed, raised his hand and gestured twice in the air, and Ce Mie's body froze, turning to face the left. Huaiwen said gently, "Shout louder."

With his mouth removed and his body immobilized by Huaiwen, Ce cursed furiously, "I curse you to a terrible death! When I get out of here, I'll tear you to pieces, roast one piece, fry one piece, and so on..."

He couldn't shout anymore, and Ce Mie was furious!

An echo returned, and Huaiwen understood immediately. He then turned Ce Mie to face forward and unsealed her mouth. Ce Mie shouted again, "Go to hell, you brat! Believe me or not, I'll tell Lingshan Xuanye and have him kill you!"

Ce Mie's mouth was forced shut again, and another echo returned. This time, Huai Wen was certain: go to the right. She raised her hand again, dispelling the spell.

Ce Mie crashed to the ground, then scrambled to his feet, conjuring the cyan-orange flame and fiercely threatening to kill Huai Wen. His anger grew with each word, and the flame swelled ever larger. The reflection on the wall slowly expanded, threatening to engulf Huai Wen.

Huaiwen stood calmly opposite Cemie, looking at him with clear and sincere eyes, and slightly raised the corners of her mouth: "Do you want me to tie you up again?"

Memories of the Qimin Mountains surged back, and the fire in Ce Mie's hand instantly went out. He snorted, "I'll let you off the hook today! Just wait until we get out of here, we'll see!"

Arrogant and incessantly chattering, Ce Mie walked past Huai Wen, who followed. Huai Wen followed behind him, trying to calm himself down.

Yao Ri Ce Mie was the most talkative demon she had ever met.

As they walked, Ce Mie suddenly grew taller, and Huai Wen quickly realized something was wrong. Then Ce Mie shouted, "Where's the road?"

The long corridor behind them had vanished, and there was no way forward. They found themselves in an empty space, each standing on a plum blossom stake.

"What the hell are you playing at?!"

Huaiwen nodded. This Lingshan Xuanye is quite the player.

Ce Mie angrily cursed, "You don't want us to perform a lion dance, do you?! Bah! You shameless bastard, Ling Shan Xuan Ye! You're making fun of cultured people! I'll get you!"

Upon hearing this, Huaiwen's lips formed a straight line. This Lingshan Xuanye really could pull off something like this. She had previously heard that when coming to Luofu, one should be careful and avoid trouble, otherwise one wouldn't be able to escape. At the time, she was somewhat skeptical.

Now I'm experiencing it firsthand. In Luofu, it's truly impossible for a branch to fly away!

Huaiwen snapped out of her daze and observed her surroundings. The arrangement of the pillars was not the usual order of the plum blossom stakes used in lion dances; the pillars were of varying heights and lacked any discernible pattern.

She made up her mind and jumped onto another plum blossom stake, which lit up briefly. Huaiwen then jumped to another one, but this one didn't light up.

In this open space, they felt the earth shake. Cold arrows kept shooting out from all sides, and Huaiwen and Cemie could only dodge in all directions. Inevitably, they stepped on the plum blossom stakes.

The lights flickered on and off, and cold arrows kept shooting out. Huaiwen and Cemie were like ants jumping around on a hot plate. Having no other choice, Huaiwen had the two of them stand on the glowing plum blossom stakes.

Ce Mie hated Xuan Ye's trap. He unleashed a massive burst of cyan-orange light, burning away all the incoming arrows. After a while, the arrows finally stopped, and the two were able to catch their breath.

"You're fine, why are you jumping around like that! If you want to die, go die yourself! I'm not going to die, and I'm going to suffer with you!" Ce Mie shouted, hands on his hips.

Huaiwen smiled apologetically: "I did that so I could get out."

"Then tell me what to do now!"

Huaiwen laughed and said, "I've memorized all the plum blossom stakes that were jumping around and lit up just now."

Under Ce Mie's watchful gaze, Huai Wen closed his eyes, clasped his hands together, and chanted a spell. In the next instant, a dozen clones stood on the plum blossom stakes.

A light shone from afar, and the two looked in that direction, flying towards the light without saying a word.

Ce Mie grinned, "Freedom, here I come!"

Wait—this looks familiar! The two rushed out and saw the familiar layout of the room: a glass lamp hanging from the ceiling, cherry blossom branches and an incense burner on the table, sandalwood chairs on either side, and a series of torture instruments in the corner…

This is bad!

Hurried footsteps rushed in. Qingcheng looked at Huaiwen and Cemie, paused for a moment, then immediately drew the axe from his waist and roared, "Quick, someone has escaped from the dungeon!"

run!

Huaiwen and Ce knew that the best course of action was to flee now!

The two rushed out of the room one after the other and headed towards the main gate of Zuimeng Tower! They fled at breakneck speed, with Qingcheng and the little demons chasing swiftly behind.

Qingcheng hurled his axe, missed, and retrieved it to continue hacking. Ce Mie viciously threw several smoke bombs behind him, making people choke and dizzy, and causing them to bump into things nearby and cry out in pain.

Aoba, who had been inside, rushed out upon hearing the noise. She was upstairs directing, "Close the door!"

Upon hearing this, Huaiwen drew his Mingjing Sword and swiftly threw it, placing it in the middle to prevent the lesser demons from closing the door. Taking advantage of the gap, Huaiwen and Cemie passed through the door and left Zuimeng Tower.

"What's going on?" Xuan Ye's cold voice rang out in Zui Meng Lou.

The crowd exclaimed in unison, "The city lord has lost someone!"

"The demon that was locked in the dungeon has escaped!"

"And that woman! The woman who had dinner with you, City Lord!"

"boom--"

The Drunken Dream Pavilion trembled, its glass lamps shook, and the bells outside jingled. All they knew was that the City Lord was furious! The City Lord had gone to arrest someone!

Having escaped from the Drunken Dream Pavilion, Huaiwen fled along the streets she had memorized the night before. But she never imagined that the daytime Luo Fu was different from the nighttime Luo Fu!

But no matter how the streets and houses changed, the river remained the same. Huaiwen, relying on his extraordinary memory, quickly reached the riverbank closest to the city wall.

"Ruan Shiyun!"

It was Xuan Ye calling her! He knew her name! Huaiwen turned her head to look at Xuan Ye, who was charging towards her from a distance, and her heart sank for some reason.

But this is her best chance.

She has to go back.

Without hesitation, Huaiwen leaped into the river, which quickly enveloped her. She learned the magic her master had taught her, dissolving into the water and stirring up the current, causing it to surge and rush eastward.

When Xuan Ye arrived there, he saw the river churning and then calming down... He clenched his fists, took a deep breath, and slowly opened his bloodshot eyes.

On this day, the earth shone brightly, a gentle breeze blew, and life flourished everywhere. Xuan Ye stood still, emanating a sinister aura that made people afraid to approach.

He sneered, deciding to play along to the end.
