Chapter 16 The Second Kind Person

"Okay, the first task is completed, it's time to find the next great person of kindness." Morais muttered a few words, then put away the list.

Jishidiang.

This is an inconspicuous medical clinic located deep in the urban village. Its appearance still retains its antique charm and it can be seen that it has a certain historical background.

When Morais arrived, he found that the door of the clinic was closed and there was a layer of dust on the threshold, as if it had not been open for a long time.

Morales went up and knocked on the door, but no one answered.

"Strange, did they move away?" Mo Laishi said to himself suspiciously.

Just when he was about to go to the shop next door to ask, he suddenly heard the sound of something heavy falling from inside. Although it was very faint, with Morais's hearing ability, he could hear it clearly.

Mo Laishi walked around Jishiditang and came to the backyard, then flipped over and went inside.

The back door was not locked, so he easily entered Jishidiang.

But when he came in, he found it was pitch black inside and there was a musty smell in the air.

Morais moved his ears and heard a sound coming from inside, so he walked towards the sound.

Soon, he came to a room.

He opened the door and saw a mess inside. An old man had fallen to the ground with a wheelchair behind him.

The old man groaned weakly, and kept saying: "Xun'er... Xun'er..."

Morais stepped forward quickly, tapped a few acupuncture points on his body, and then helped him back into the wheelchair.

The old man regained consciousness a little, and when he saw the strange white-haired young man in front of him, he suddenly shouted, "Don't take Xun'er away, I beg you, don't."

Mo Laishi was startled by the old man's sudden reaction and quickly comforted him: "Old man, don't get excited, I'm not a bad person."

After saying that, Mo Laishi tapped the old man's brow, and the old man slowly calmed down.

The old man looked at Mo Laishi carefully and asked in a hoarse voice, "Who are you?"

"Old man, my name is Mo Laishi, and I am Yun Qingzi's apprentice. Old man, may I ask if you are Mr. Qiao De?" Mo Laishi said.

"Yes, I am. You...you are Master Yun's disciple?" Qiao De said with some excitement.

"That's right. I came here specially to treat you on the orders of my master. Your feet..." Morais said, looking at Qiao De's legs.

A flash of blue light flashed from his eyes.

In just a moment, Morais saw that Joad's legs were covered with pus-filled sores and some of his nerves had died. If it were Western medicine, the only option waiting for him would be amputation.

"Ah..." Qiao De sighed and said, "Don't waste your energy. Although I'm not well-trained, I am still a Chinese medicine practitioner. I know that my legs are beyond saving. It's a pity that Xun'er has been harmed..."

When Qiao De said this, he seemed to have thought of something again. His emotions began to become unstable and he suddenly burst into tears with heartbreak.

"Old man, please tell me slowly what is going on?" Mo Laishi saw the old man's condition and the surrounding environment, and knew that there must be something hidden, so he couldn't help but ask.

Qiao De restrained his emotions a little and said, "Xun'er is my granddaughter. Her parents died in a car accident when they were young, leaving only the two of us, grandfather and grandson, to depend on each other."

"Xun'er is a sensible and obedient child. Two months ago, I went up the mountain to collect herbs and accidentally fell. When I came back, my feet started to hurt. At first, I thought it was just a common sprain, so I applied some herbal medicine and ignored it. But it didn't get better, and I started to develop sores. I had no choice but to go to the hospital for a checkup."

"The doctor said the condition of my legs was very complicated and I needed to be hospitalized for observation. I was treated in the hospital for a month, but my legs never fully recovered. All our family savings were gone, and the doctor said he couldn't continue treating me without money. After hearing this, Xun'er, that silly kid, actually ran off to borrow money from a loan shark without telling me. But the money she borrowed ran out, and my legs still weren't getting better. Finally, I had no choice but to be discharged from the hospital."

"After we came back, loan sharks came to our house several times to collect the debt. Our neighbors felt sorry for us and helped us pay back part of it. But we didn't expect the interest to keep increasing. We only borrowed 50,000 yuan at the beginning, but it quickly became 300,000 yuan. How could we afford to pay back such a large amount?"

"Just now, those damn bastards came to my house again to collect the debt. They said they would take Xun'er away to pay off the debt if I didn't have the money. They are a bunch of beasts. Xun'er would be worse than death if she fell into their hands. Naturally, I refused, so they started smashing things and Xun'er was finally taken away by them."

"If anything happens to Xun'er, I won't want to live anymore." When Qiao De said this, tears started to flow down his face again, which made people feel extremely sad.

When Mo Laishi heard this, he clenched his fists and his expression became extremely gloomy.

This was the first time he was so angry since he came down the mountain.

"Mr. Qiao, do you know where those loan sharking companies are?"
