Chapter 2 Questioning

As soon as Dean Liu finished speaking, the phone rang.

After answering the call, Dean Liu's face lit up with joy. He put down the phone and said to the other experts, "Director Xu will be here soon. Let's go down and greet him together."

The experts from the People's Hospital went downstairs and, led by President Liu, waited at the gate of the inpatient department.

After a while, two cars drove over.

A middle-aged man in his fifties with a dignified face got out of the first car.

His three assistants also got out of the car and stood behind the middle-aged man.

Dean Liu greeted the visitor with a delighted look on his face. "Hey, Director Xu, welcome, welcome. Thank you so much for coming here in person."

Although Dean Liu is the head of a hospital, the other party is a provincial cardiovascular expert, so Dean Liu does not dare to be arrogant at all.

"Director Liu, long time no see. I remember the last time we met was at a medical exchange conference in the provincial capital." Xu Wenguang said with a smile.

"Yes, yes, Professor Xu has a really good memory. To be honest, we are really helpless with this patient, so we have to trouble Professor Xu for help." Dean Liu said a little embarrassedly.

"It's a small matter. Doctors are like parents to their patients. Let's go up and see the patient first." Xu Wenguang waved his hand and strode ahead.

Seeing this, others followed suit.

When they arrived at the VIP ward, Director Liu first introduced Peng Yuhua and Liu Kang to Xu Wenguang, and then gave an introduction to Ling Jianshe's condition.

Xu Wenguang took a thick stack of medical records and read them carefully. He frowned and asked, "Have you checked everything you need to check?"

Dean Liu replied, "We've checked everything, but we can't find the cause. Currently, we can only use nutrient solution to maintain vital signs."

Xu Wenguang's frown deepened upon hearing this. After a moment's thought, he said, "How about this? Draw another 10 milliliters of blood for further examination, especially focusing on anemia. I suspect the patient has a more specific form of congestive heart failure."

Dean Liu was shocked when he heard this. He did not dare to delay and immediately asked the nurse to come forward and prepare to draw blood.

As the head of a hospital, he naturally knew about the so-called congestive heart failure, but he had never thought about it in this way before.

As expected of an expert from the provincial hospital, he found the direction right away.

Just then, the door of the VIP ward was pushed open and three people walked in.

When Dean Liu saw that it was Lu Zhiyuan and the daughter of the Ling family, he smiled and said, "Director Lu, Miss Ling, you've returned just in time. This is Director Xu Wenguang, the expert from the provincial capital. With him here, I'm sure Director Ling's illness will recover soon."

Ling Yunshuang looked at Xu Wenguang and nodded slightly as a greeting.

Then he said to Dean Liu politely but without question: "Thank you, Dean Liu, but I don't think it's necessary. I have found someone who can cure my father's illness."

Ling Yunshuang has lost patience with these so-called experts.

At the beginning, Director Liu also patted his chest and said that their hospital had the best experts and would be able to cure my father's illness soon.

But since his father was admitted to the hospital, he has undergone countless tests, big and small, every day, but he couldn't even find the most basic cause of the disease.

How could she trust the other party?

Dean Liu was a little confused when he heard this, and had no idea what Ling Yunshuang meant.

He looked at Lu Zhiyuan, wanting to get an answer from him.

But Lu Zhiyuan turned his head away, as if to say, "This is none of my business, don't look at me."

Dean Liu was furious when he saw Lu Zhiyuan's reaction, but he kept a smile on his face and said, "Ms. Ling, which hospital is the expert you mentioned from?"

"It's the one behind me." Ling Yunshuang slightly turned her body, revealing Mo Laishi to everyone.

Only then did everyone notice Mo Laishi, and their faces suddenly changed.

"Nonsense! How can a young boy like this cure diseases?" Xu Wenguang shouted sternly.

He immediately turned around and questioned Dean Liu, "Old Liu, what the hell is going on? Did you invite me all the way here just to watch this farce?"
