Wen Zhaonian's words immediately made Li Tangyan's eyes light up. She grabbed his collar with both hands, and the smile on her face showed no trace of her previous disappointment.
"So it really was you?"
After she finished speaking, her clear black and white eyes darted around.
As she leaned closer, her eyes brightened: "Then why are you hiding?"
At this point, Li Tangyan couldn't help but recall the time when she met Ji Huaijin last time, and how he had mentioned Wen Zhaonian to her.
Then, as she lowered her eyes, her eyelashes trembled slightly, and her voice carried a hint of uncertainty: "Don't you want to talk to me?"
Wen Zhaonian looked down at the wrinkles that she had pulled out of his clothes.
Following the vibration in her chest, a low laugh quickly followed: "Li Zhouzhou, are you sure you're not distorting the truth?"
Wen Zhaonian's words made Li Tangyan's face flush.
Just as I looked up to retort, I felt a light pinch on the soft flesh of the back of my neck.
With a soothing tone, Wen Zhaonian's voice had a strangely alluring quality: "Just watching it like that is fine too."

Li Tangyan's silence made Wen Zhaonian curious, and he was about to look down at her.
Then she heard Li Tangyan call her name softly.
Upon hearing this, the tension in his heart eased slightly. He hummed in response, and then felt the fabric at his collar suddenly tighten.
At the same time, his gaze met a pair of eyes that seemed to be misty with a thin layer of water on them.
Her voice sounded a little muffled: "Wen Zhaonian, you're going too far."
After saying that, he heard Li Tangyan tell him to lower his head.
Upon hearing this, Wen Zhaonian smiled.
He understood immediately and lowered his head in response to her request.
Sure enough, I then felt someone bite my lip.
He gasped in pain, and the hand gripping the back of Li Tangyan's neck tightened.
When he saw the person shrink back as if trying to avoid the tickling sensation spreading across her neck, he moved his hand down and casually wrapped it around her waist.
Even though he knew perfectly well that the person in his arms was blushing after the sneak attack, he still raised an eyebrow and asked, "Happy now?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Li Tangyan pinched her hard.
After a while, he heard Li Tangyan call his name again in a deep voice.
This time, Wen Zhaonian didn't bother her anymore. He responded good-naturedly, and then she cleared her throat, her voice soft but with a barely perceptible firmness.
"I'll take you out to play tomorrow, and we'll make up for anything we missed."
"OK?"

The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the third day of the National Day holiday, so for the first two days, Li Tangyan took Wen Zhaonian on a crazy trip to S City, following her previous decision. They visited places they hadn't been to before.
On the third day, which was the Mid-Autumn Festival, Wen Zhaonian took Li Tangyan to an ancient town about half an hour's drive from S City.
During the festive season, the already charming ancient town gains an even greater festive atmosphere.
Lanterns hung high, flags fluttered on the walls, and the streets on both sides were bustling with activity.
Wen Zhaonian seemed to have planned to bring her here in advance and had done his research beforehand, so it was not difficult for him to take Li Tangyan around.
Later that evening, the two found a dessert shop with an antique-style decor to rest.
The two found a spot on the second floor by the window. Looking out, they could see a lake in the center of the ancient town just beyond the wooden railing.
A stone bridge has been built over the lake, providing ample space and making it one of the best spots for moon viewing at night.
Li Tangyan only looked away from the outside after the staff brought out the dessert.
Her gaze fell on Wen Zhaonian, and seeing that his expression was normal, she became even more curious.
Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival, but it is also her birthday.
However, not to mention a gift, Li Tangyan hasn't even heard him say "Happy Birthday" yet.
Although Li Tangyan was certain that Wen Zhaonian remembered, his reaction made her feel uneasy, as if ants were crawling all over her.
So, after she had stolen glances at Wen Zhaonian for what seemed like the umpteenth time, she finally saw him put down his cup.
He rested his chin on his hand, his dark eyes full of understanding: "Speak, what do you want to ask?"
Upon hearing this, Li Tangyan didn't hesitate.
After chuckling twice, he leaned towards him, placing his hands on the table.
Her knuckles curled slightly, revealing her nervousness: "I heard it's my birthday today."
The hint, which didn't sound like a suggestion at all, elicited a soft laugh from Wen Zhaonian the moment it was spoken.
Then, as if deliberately teasing her, Wen Zhaonian nodded in agreement.
His tone remained calm and even: "Yes, today is your birthday."
Sure enough, he remembered!
"Then how did you..."
Why didn't they even say happy birthday?
Meeting Wen Zhaonian's smiling gaze, Li Tangyan ultimately swallowed back what was on her mind.
She then turned her head and gave a soft hum, as if she wasn't going to look at him.
Seeing this, Wen Zhaonian's Adam's apple bobbed slowly, and he couldn't resist gently pinching her cheek with his fingertips.
His voice was slightly deep, but it easily drew her attention back.

As night falls, groups of two or three people begin to walk across the stone bridge in the middle of the lake.
Tonight, the night sky is cloudless, and the bright full moon stands out exceptionally against the azure sky. The twinkling stars beside it are reflected in the lake, creating a beautiful picture.
"I heard there will be fireworks later, it must be really beautiful."
Li Tangyan murmured softly, and just as she was about to turn around to look at Wen Zhaonian, the joy in her eyes disappeared when she realized that the space next to her was empty.
