This journey was meant to be a lonely escape for her to clear her mind, but an unexpected encounter brought her into contact with Xu Jibai.

Chen Yun immediately labeled him a playboy in her heart, but she couldn't deny his undeniably handsome appearance. She found herself unable to stop thinking about his roguish smiling face.

Xu Jibai never asked, "Why are you crying?" when she cried excessively or wasn't understood. Instead, he would simply say, "Just cry if you want to; it's not like you'll never smile again." When her tears dropped into her porridge, he'd tease her, "Sweet porridge is about to turn into salty porridge." It seemed that with him, Chen Yun truly had the freedom to express her sadness, a freedom society didn't usually afford her.

Chen Yun never imagined she would fall in love so quickly. Yet, she also knew this relationship had no future. Faced with happiness, she always doubted and always retreated. But Xu Jibai's embrace was too tight, so tight that it squeezed away the intimidating distance between her and happiness.
