The last scene: be drama
More than twenty days have passed in a flash. We had originally planned to finish filming the remaining scenes in a month and a half. However, with the blessing of closed-door shooting, only twenty-five days are left, and today is the day to shoot the last scene.
Because of the script requirements, the two protagonists in this scene actually did not wear heavy makeup. Instead, they were made to look haggard. After all, one of them was a fragile mother who had just given birth, and the other was a disheartened person. Neither of them looked very radiant.
The filming location was also changed to a hospital ward built in the studio. It was said that President Meng insisted on filming in the hospital. Qi Jixin knew that it was Bing Jie's request. She didn't want to cause any more unnecessary harm to Bing Jie, so she put on airs and refused to go, and insisted on dragging the show to the studio.
The night before filming this scene, Bing Jie was in a very bad state. Qi Jixin could tell why at a glance, so she tried to tease him. Before the filming started on the set, she was still circling around Bing Jie.
Undoubtedly, that day four years ago left an indelible shadow on both of them. Now, seeing Bing Jie's lost look, she still felt heartbroken.
But for the sake of future family reunion, she couldn't say anything.
The props team put a fake IV needle on Qi Jixin. She sat on the bed in her hospital gown, waiting for the makeup artist to add more eyeshadow to her.
Bing Jie stood at the door and looked at her, feeling indescribably sad. The figure before him slowly overlapped with her from four years ago. The tragedy of the past was about to be repeated.
"Are you ready? Action!"
Qi Jixin got into the mood in a second, leaning against the head of the bed with a pale face and closing her eyes. Bing Jie pushed the door open and walked in. His footsteps were as light as they could be, but she still heard them. Just as Qi Jixin slowly opened her eyes, Bing Jie asked her where the child was.
"Child? So you still care about our child."
Her tone was very unfriendly, and her eyes swept towards Bing Jie as sharp as a knife, but when she saw that he looked equally haggard, she frowned slightly, and was obviously stunned, and her expression eased a little.
"...Whether we love each other or not, the child is innocent, so let me see the child." Bing Jie said as he walked to the bedside but did not sit down, just like a reserved stranger.
Qi Jixin snorted coldly and blinked helplessly, but her inner stubbornness prevented her from saying soft words. She only said in a tough tone, "Listen, my dear husband! I came out of the delivery room after a near-death experience, and now you don't even want to show concern for me when you see me?"
It should have been a complaint full of grievance, but her tone was so sharp that it almost became a mockery.
Bing Jie looked at her worriedly, his lips parted, his expression a mix of emotions, but in the end, it all turned into a hesitant determination, and he replied, "There are people who care about you more than your husband, and there are people who love you more than I do."
After hearing this, Qi Jixin turned her head, closed her eyes, took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, looking extremely helpless. When she turned her head again, she found that he was sitting on the edge of the bed, his hand gently resting on the back of her hand.
The tenderness lasted only two seconds before he begged, "I will divorce you, but can you give me the child? The child is my only relative in the world. You..."
Qi Jixin was really furious this time. She immediately pulled her hand away and stared at him in disbelief. When she realized that he was speaking from his heart, she became even more furious.
But she had just given birth, and her screams were faint and she had no strength.
"None of the rumors about me are true. Besides, when did I ever say I wanted to divorce you? Am I not your family? Where do you put me?"
Bing Jie had his head down the whole time, so naturally he was the first to see her hand bleeding from the stitches. He hurriedly grabbed Qi Jixin's arm and helped her press on the wound. He was tired of listening to those arguments and didn't want to refute anything anymore.
Qi Jixin wanted to break free from his hand, but couldn't, so she could only let him press on her wound.
"What happened in the past doesn't matter anymore. I remember you promised me that as long as I tell you, you will help me, right?"
Hearing him say this, Qi Jixin's eyes widened in disbelief, tears welling up in her eyes. She didn't want to listen anymore but had to. Of course, Bing Jie, who said this, also had an expression full of helplessness and pain.
"I want you to let me go. I beg you."
Even blinking rapidly couldn't stop the tears from flowing out. Qi Jixin finally summoned the strength to break free from his hand. Her fractured left hand was originally placed at her side. The moment her right hand broke free from Bing Jie, her emotions ran wild and she raised her left hand in anger, pointing at the door and telling him to get out.
The sudden situation frightened Bing Jie. He was worried that her hand would be injured again, but he had to continue acting. He slowly stood up and looked at her worriedly before walking out the door.
After a "click", the ward really looked like a ward. Bing Jie and Xuan Jiazhuo rushed over in a hurry. Qi Jixin lay on the bed, covering his arm and groaning.
“Ouch…”
"How's your arm? Does it hurt?"
"Hey, why did you move your arm, you idiot? Even if you get emotional, don't move this hand!"
Seeing that Bing Jie and Sister Zhuo were very anxious, Qi Jixin groaned twice before she managed to stand up straight. There were still traces of tears on her face. Bing Jie raised his hand to wipe away her tears and looked at her with concern.
"It's okay, it's okay. I'll be fine after a rest. I just moved too suddenly and stretched myself."
Qi Jixin knew her body best, and she said that she thought her bones would not be injured. Then everyone went to review the play with the director. After the play, Qi Jixin took Sister Zhuo to the bathroom. When they came back, they saw Bing Jie sitting on a bench outside the ward, distracted.
That expression was as dead as falling into an abyss, which frightened Qi Jixin.
When Bing Jie regained consciousness, he found someone standing in front of him. He looked up and saw it was Qi Jixin. She used her hand to smooth over Bing Jie's hair and spoke to him with a smile, "Your acting was really good just now. Haven't you come out of the drama yet?"
In fact, he was not the only one who hadn't gotten over it. The last two people's lines were actually said by Qi Jixin and Bing Jie in real life. However, Bing Jie didn't want to let her go. He just walked away with a cold face.
This is why Qi Jixin suddenly had an emotional outburst in the end. The feeling of powerlessness she had back then broke the seal of time and swept over her, and she subconsciously couldn't control her emotions.
At this time, she came not only to comfort, but also to seek comfort.
Bing Jie just looked up at her without answering anything. Qi Jixin didn't want to wait for any reply. She stepped forward and hugged him in her arms, and leaned over his head. This silent action actually gave both of them great comfort.
After a moment, Bing Jie pulled her away, patted his legs again, and Qi Jixin put her arm behind his neck, sat in his arms, and asked, "The filming is almost over. Do you want to continue filming TV or go back to being a boss?"
Both of them needed to get away from this environment and calm down, so Qi Jixin forced this matter to be brought up.
Bing Jie naturally said that he had to go back to take care of the company for a while. Besides, he had his children's affairs to take care of, so it was impossible for him to be busy with these entertainment industry matters.
"What about you? Where are you going to play? Can I contact you then?" Bing Jie put his arm around her waist and asked sincerely.
Qi Jixin pondered for a moment before speaking hesitantly, "I don't know where we're going, and I can't tell you. If you run over there without saying a word, wouldn't that be too unfair? It would disturb my mind."
Bing Jie frowned slightly and looked at her with some confusion: "Again?"
Realizing she had let something slip, Qi Jixin wrinkled her nose at him, trying to hide it, and then she explained, "Although I was the one looking for you at the beach in the drama, that feeling of excitement really touched me."
In this situation, she didn't care whether the lie was good or not. Being able to explain was the best she could do.
Bing Jie nodded reluctantly, his eyes dimming. Qi Jixin continued, "You can't contact me, but when I contact you, you must reply."
Faced with this unfair contract that she would not even perform, Bing Jie asked her in amusement, why are officials allowed to set fires but ordinary people are not allowed to light lamps?
"Just tell me whether you want to reply or not."
"Will not replying affect your impression of me?"
"Of course." She said confidently.
Bing Jie nodded lovingly in compromise and said, "Don't worry, I will definitely get back to you. You are welcome to come and chat with me anytime, okay?"
Only then did she nod in satisfaction, it was great.
Just then, the director asked them to change clothes to shoot a divorce scene in the hospital ward. This was also the final scene of the whole drama. Compared with the tit-for-tat quarrel between the two people just now, this scene was much more dull.
After signing the divorce agreement under the impartial supervision of a lawyer, the child was naturally not Bing Jie's. He had no bargaining chip to negotiate with Qi Jixin. Qi Jixin left the child behind and closed her eyes in pain as she watched him leave sadly.
The plot of the play ended completely. The story based on Bing Jie and Qi Jixin completely covered up the final judgment of BE.
But Qi Jixin thought at the moment she closed her eyes that this would never happen to her and Bing Jie. Their family would overcome all difficulties and live happily together.
Coincidentally, Bing Jie, who rushed out of the room, leaned his back against the wall outside the ward. At this moment, he was also thinking that he must not let the tragedy in the play reflect reality, and he was willing to pay any price for it.
The wrap-up scene is always chaotic and lively. Qi Jixin opened her eyes after the director shouted "cut", wiped away the tears of the character in the play with her hands, and saw Bing Jie approaching the ward with a bouquet of colorful flowers, almost walking towards her with deep affection.
"I wish you a pleasant journey." Bing Jie whispered as she took the bouquet with a smile. Qi Jixin smiled and affirmed, "I will. I wish you happiness in the future."
What Bing Jie wanted to say was that he hoped she would be happy for the rest of her life.
What Qi Jixin wants to say is, I wish you and me happiness in the near future.
Parting is always hasty. No matter how grand the wrap-up banquet is, there will always be a moment when it ends. Bing Jie has imagined countless times how sad he will be when the filming is wrapped up, but when the day really comes, he finds that everything is different from what he imagined.
He didn't feel much sadness about parting, instead he kept smiling. Maybe it was because Qi Jixin was sticking to him today, just like their marriage hadn't been messed up yet. She would pour wine for Bing Jie and whisper to him in the noisy banquet. The two of them returned to the time when they were intimate.
When Bing Jie realized that he was a little sad about the four years that had passed, he put down the wine glass in his hand. He thought, he was drunk.
