Unexpected alliance
He leaned his head on her shoulder so that he could see his hands on the island. The posture was quite intimate. But Bing Jie was a little scared, fearing that if he was not careful, the knife in his hand would hurt her again. Qi Jixin leaned in his arms, making small movements constantly, and turned to look at him from time to time.
Now she simply turned around to face him. Bing Jie had no choice but to put down the knife and asked her in a good-tempered manner what she was going to do. Qi Jixin tapped his heart with her finger and suggested, "Go back to your room and sleep."
As she spoke, she turned to look towards the bedroom. Bing Jie stared blankly for a moment, seemingly not understanding what she meant. Qi Jixin tugged at his collar jokingly and asked, "Is there someone hiding in there?"
Bing Jie didn't say anything and just picked her up and held her sideways. "Just take a look and you'll know."
"Hey, you haven't washed your hands!" Qi Jixin said disapprovingly, but her arms had already climbed up his neck. Bing Jie said as they walked, "Before I could even grab the fruit, someone was already moving around in my arms. How could I have time to cut fruit for her?"
"Hiss..." She frowned and took a breath, and said to him half-unhappily and half-threateningly: "When I wake up, it would be best if I could see the meal you owe me." Qi Jixin pressed the handle, and the two returned to the room. With a click from the director, a wailing sound came from the bedroom.
Sister Zhuo hurriedly opened the door and saw Qi Jixin sitting on the bed gritting her teeth. Bing Jie was kneeling on one knee beside her, holding her calf nervously. Sister Zhuo hurried over and saw a red mark the size of an egg on her outer ankle.
"...Sister Zhuo, please get me an ice pack or something..." Qi Jixin was in so much pain that tears came out. Before she could finish her words, Bing Jie rushed out first.
"What the hell is going on?"
Qi Jixin groaned softly, not knowing what had happened at all. The pain came so suddenly, probably because he had bumped into something.
"A sculpture." Bing Jie handed the ice pack to Sister Zhuo and could only stand aside with his hands on his hips. "There's a mermaid sculpture holding a crystal ball at the door. When I carried her into the house, I accidentally bumped into the crystal ball."
The two of them suddenly realized what was going on. After hearing the director confirm that this part was over, Qi Jixin lay down on the bed with a sense of relief. Sister Zhuo applied her wounds while chatting with her, trying to change the subject:
"So that hissing sound you made was from a collision? I thought it was in the script."
Qi Jixin's pain subsided a little, and she was in the mood to joke with her: "Am I a cobra? Why are you hissing?" She took the ice pack and applied it to herself, then sat on the bed with Sister Zhuo to chat and rest.
Bing Jie sat alone in the living room with a very regretful expression. He blamed himself for forgetting that he had bumped into the door when he was holding her, and that he had been rubbing her head that night.
He didn't hit his head today, but he still bumped his foot... He was always stumbling, and nothing went smoothly. The more he thought about it, the more irritated he became. What he didn't expect was that the person who came out to comfort him was Xuan Jiazhuo.
"She won't feel good seeing you like this, so you'd better go and film quickly."
After Sister Zhuo said some words of barely comforting her, Bing Jie got up and walked towards the bedroom.
What follows are some trivial shots. In order to indirectly prove that the two people in the play have been together for several days, they have to change their makeup and costumes many times. Of course, before the super change of clothes, at least they have to put a perfect end to the day.
The two of them have to snuggle up at the head of the bed for a few seconds. There are no lines and the director doesn't have any requirements. He just wants the two of them to be natural.
Bing Jie took off his shirt, so Qi Jixin naturally had to expose her shoulders as well. The quilt covered her chest. She didn't need to take off her shirt, just the sleeves and hid them under the quilt. Bing Jie leaned against the headboard first. Qi Jixin tied her hair to one side and lay naturally in his arms. He pulled his arm back and put his arm around her waist through the quilt.
Both of them nodded towards the camera, and at the director's command, filming officially began.
According to the requirement of free play, the two people had to say something, at least to make the atmosphere look more charming. Qi Jixin tightened her hand holding his, and Bing Jie lowered his head and gave her a tender kiss on her hair.
"sorry."
She raised the end of her eyebrows, leaned against his chest and looked at him, her tone quite puzzled, but her eyes full of love: "Why are you so...ah, it's not your fault."
Looking into that affectionate gaze, Bing Jie exerted all his self-control to prevent his disappointment from escaping from the depths of his heart and making it known to everyone. This love, which was unique to him, was once so real, but now it can only be glimpsed in the play...
As he was trying to maintain his composure, the director called out "Cut." Bing Jie habitually pulled the quilt over her, and Qi Jixin managed to slip on two sleeves under the cover. Before she left his arms, she turned around and thanked him.
What followed was the ultimate torture for the stylist. From afternoon to evening, the two of them changed nine sets of styles. The entire luxury suite was fully utilized. In the living room, bedroom, balcony, and swimming pool, they could be seen cuddling together and talking sweet words everywhere.
The filming on the island was complete, but just before wrapping up, the director suggested adding a scene, set on a balcony where the sea breeze blew in. Qi Jixin and Bing Jie had no objections, as they still had two or three days to rest after wrapping up the day.
The two of them lay on the sun loungers, Bing Jie's hand stroking her shoulder, Qi Jixin nestled in his arms with her eyes closed, and even when he suggested going into the house to get her a blanket, she refused.
"Don't go." She crossed her arms and hugged Bing Jie, but her heavier nasal tone betrayed her. Bing Jie rubbed his chin against her forehead and still whispered: "You are about to catch a cold." As he said that, he kissed her forehead again.
Qi Jixin didn't even raise her eyes, but just raised her hand to let him go. Bing Jie walked out of the camera and stood behind the glass door to watch her performance alone.
The phone rang, and she answered it without even looking at it. After hearing the voice on the other end, she slowly sat up and asked with a somewhat overjoyed expression, "Really? Okay, I'll go."
She didn't know what was being said on the other end of the phone. She stood up and walked to the railing, standing facing the wind. The sea breeze blew all her hair behind her, taking away her already thin body temperature. The next second, Bing Jie covered her with a blanket and held her in his arms.
"Okay, I got it." Qi Jixin hung up the phone, turned to look at the person leaning on her shoulder, and kissed him without hesitation. Then she smiled and said, "My parents said there's a party at home, and I'm just taking you home."
He was a little hesitant, but he was obsessed with the bright future that Qi Jixin had outlined. The two of them hugged each other, looking forward to a bright future.
After the filming, Bing Jie stood on the balcony for a long time, until the sea breeze dried his tears, and then he turned around and left.
It was the same as Dang Ru. The two of them were so happy that they didn't have time to think too much. They had no idea that the next meeting was just the beginning of his making Qi Ji Xin suffer.
He sat on the balcony all night the day before yesterday, which made him feel unwell and have a fever the next day. Tonight, Bing Jie did not stay on the balcony all night. He returned to his room almost at dawn.
The next day, he went downstairs for breakfast at 11 o'clock. Unexpectedly, he ran into Qi Jixin. The two of them had already become very familiar with each other, so they simply sat down to eat together. The amazing thing was that they both only ordered breakfast. When the waiter brought the breakfast, the two smiled at each other.
"Did you sleep very late last night?" Qi Jixin asked him while stirring the rice porridge.
Bing Jie nodded, but only gave a vague answer: "I can't sleep, and you can't sleep either?"
Qi Jixin shook her head mysteriously, leaned forward, and whispered, "It's not that I can't sleep, I'm doing something fun." Bing Jie looked at her puzzledly. Qi Jixin simply put down the spoon and concentrated on chatting.
"Didn't I guess before that the entire show was actually based on real facts? Guess what? I searched the internet for a long time yesterday and actually found some clues!"
She picked up her phone and showed it to him. It was a screenshot of a TV preview blog post. Bing Jie's lowered eyes were filled with shock, and his breathing became heavier. Qi Jixin on the other side was too excited to notice his abnormality and continued to speak excitedly:
"I'm actually the one acting in this TV show!"
Bing Jie looked up at her warily. Qi Jixin just let out a long sigh, missing the chance to meet his eyes and discover the clue. "It's a pity that all my previous social media accounts are gone. Otherwise, I would have been able to find out who that actor was."
"...Why look for her? There's no need to stay up late looking for someone who may not even exist, right?" Bing Jie was so nervous that his throat was tight. As soon as he finished speaking, he picked up the tea beside him and took two sips.
Qi Jixin shrugged and stirred the porridge in the bowl again: "I was bored, so I looked for it. I did get something out of it. At least I can go watch this TV series." She did not say the words "looking for memory" out loud. She did not want to tell others about her amnesia.
Bing Jie's heart was filled with alarm, thinking that she was going to look for someone according to the cast list. In a hurry, he said the wrong thing: "Meng Jingxuan's private life is very bad. Maybe you can find four or five people who are related to him in the same crew."
"Is Mr. Meng's full name Meng Jingxuan? I really didn't know." She was very good at grasping the key points, and Bing Jie's heart was once again a knot. "...Yes, that's his name."
Having never imagined that being with her would be so torturous, Bing Jie hurriedly finished his breakfast and contacted Sister Zhuo, eventually meeting her on the beach. After he had told her everything, Sister Zhuo pressed her hands tightly against her temples, her temper flaring even more fiercely than the scorching sun.
"Ah? Who told her this? I'll skin him alive!" He angrily slammed the table and looked at the man in front of him in confusion: "Boss Bing, this couldn't be your handiwork, could it?
At this point, Bing Jie was no longer angry and could only say that fate was playing tricks on him. He had really wanted her to recover her memory before, but he had no way to do it. Now that he really didn't want her to recover her memory, she had accidentally brought up the past again.
"Oh, I did it, so why am I still sitting here and acting with you?"
"That's right, that's right..." Sister Zhuo admitted that she was desperate and tried every possible means. She frowned and thought about a solution, muttering to herself what to do. Bing Jie didn't mind adding fuel to the fire. After all, the two of them were already in a mess.
"I forgot to tell you, she retired at home before, and single-handedly tracked down several of her longtime haters online. What I mean is, once she's determined to investigate, she'll eventually find some clues."
Sister Zhuo was so close to pinching her own people that she couldn't help but complain about Bing Jie, who was temporarily on the same side with her. "I said, when you deleted the messages related to her, couldn't you have deleted them more thoroughly?"
Bing Jie sighed helplessly. It was a promise between him and Qi Jixin not to erase her past achievements. But who knew that this day would come?
