wind chill

wind chill

The next day.

Song Linluo's face was pale. Standing in the corridor, she looked up at the snowflakes falling from the sky. The snow was particularly heavy today.

She reached out to catch the snowflakes, looked at them and said, "I'm afraid this is the last snow of the year."

I don’t know if it’s because Song Linluo caught a cold, but her whole body was cold, and the snowflakes that fell on her hands showed no signs of melting.

Jun Wuyang walked towards Song Linluo in the snow, holding a red umbrella. Before he reached the corridor, Song Linluo ran to Jun Wuyang, threw himself into his arms, and said, "Fu'an, it's snowing heavily today. Let's build a snowman together."

Jun Wuyang looked at the girl in his arms lovingly and said, "Okay, let's go together."

Song Linluo sneezed and got out of Jun Wuyang's arms.

Jun Wuyang took off his cloak and put it on Song Linluo. He tied it for Song Linluo and said, "You were still soaking in cold water last night. Even though you drank the medicine, you still need to wear more clothes."

Colds and flu are minor illnesses for Song Linluo. Since she was a child, her mother has been taking her to take medicinal baths all day long, and she has long developed antibodies to common minor illnesses.

Song Linluo looked at Jun Wuyang's cloak and said, "Aren't you cold?"

Jun Wuyang scratched the tip of Song Linluo's nose and said, "Of course I don't mind the cold."

Song Linluo walked to a flat place, grabbed a handful of snow, and threw it towards Jun Wuyang, saying happily, "Fu'an!"

Jun Wuyang also grabbed a handful of snow and threw it at Song Linluo. She ran and he chased her. The two of them played in the snow for a whole day. Two snowmen stood on the ground in the snow.

Jun Wuyang and Song Linluo sat under the plum tree, snuggling up to each other.

Song Linluo leaned on Jun Wuyang's shoulder and said softly, "Fu'an, I'm a little sleepy..."

Jun Wuyang patted Song Linluo's back and said, "If you feel sleepy, just close your eyes and take a nap. I'm here for you."

Song Linluo forced a faint smile and said, "Fuan, do you know? I'm actually here to save your god... I only want to save you."

Jun Wuyang looked down at the already asleep Song Linluo, secretly kissed her forehead, and said, "God..."

Jun Wuyang never believed in God. He had prayed to the gods in the dark chamber since he was a child, but no god was willing to save him.

He lives in darkness every day, with countless lives on his hands, including his own friends and strangers.

He didn't know when he changed and became willing to believe in God again.

Maybe it was because she was crying when he first met the little girl... Or maybe it was because this blind little girl provoked him when she woke up, and no one had dared to do that to him before.

If the gods really do appear, I will pray that my Luo'er lives a long and worry-free life... no matter if he is the one who stays with her in the end.

Jun Wuyang looked up at the sky full of snowflakes and couldn't help but smile and said, "The snow is so beautiful this year."

A snowflake landed on the tip of Song Linluo's nose. She shrank into Jun Wuyang's arms. Jun Wuyang picked her up and walked into the room.

Song Linluo was put on the bed. Jun Wuyang covered her with a quilt and left the room.

The sky outside the door gradually darkened, the coldness gradually increased, and the heavy snow like goose feathers seemed to be even heavier.

Song Linluo huddled herself deeper into the quilt until she no longer felt cold.

I slept very soundly all night without any dreams.

When it was just dawn, Song Linluo woke up in a daze. She casually fixed her hair before opening the door.

It is still snowing heavily outside the door. I guess this last snowfall will take a few days to stop.

After a good sleep, she felt that her cold had improved a lot today, her complexion was much rosier, and she had lost the sickness she had felt yesterday.

She walked on the thick snow towards Jun Wuyang's room.

When she reached Jun Wuyang's door, her hands were slightly red from the cold. Song Linluo breathed on them, rubbed them, and then knocked on the door: "Fuan, are you awake?"

Jun Wuyang opened the door of his room and said, "I just woke up."

Song Linluo didn't know how to respond. She scratched her head and thought for a moment before deciding to directly tell her what she was going to do today: "Fu'an, I haven't been back to the restaurant for a long time. I asked Jiao'er to help take care of it these days. After all, I am the boss..."

Jun Wuyang's expression was calm, and he smiled calmly: "It just so happens that I don't have anything to do today, so I'll accompany you."

Song Linluo nodded obediently and said, "Fuan, can I come in and sit for a while..."

Jun Wuyang looked at Song Linluo's shy expression, and for some reason he felt that it was somewhat cute. He said, "Come in."

Jun Wuyang turned around and walked to the table and sat down.

Song Linluo followed in and sat down next to Jun Wuyang.

Jun Wuyang said, "You don't have to be so reserved here."

Song Linluo poured herself a glass of water and drank it, saying, "I'm not reserved, I'm just..." Her voice gradually lowered, "This is my first time entering a man's room."

Jun Wuyang raised his eyebrows slightly, the smile in his eyes was very ambiguous: "Luo'er, have you had breakfast?"

Song Linluo touched his flat belly and shook his head, "Not yet..."

Jun Wuyang: "Are you hungry?"

Song Linluo: "I'm hungry."

Jun Wuyang sighed and said, "Next time, remember to eat breakfast first, otherwise it will be bad for your health."

Song Linluo: "I remember it"

Song Linluo is now like a child who has made a mistake and is learning a lesson.

Jun Wuyang looked at Song Linluo, who lowered his head and looked aggrieved, and smiled and said, "I've asked the servants to go to the kitchen to cook some porridge. We'll have some later."

Song Linluo said: "Okay."

As soon as he finished speaking, the servant brought the porridge.

The servant placed two bowls of porridge on the table, bowed to Jun Wuyang, and then left.

Jun Wuyang picked up a bowl of steaming porridge, blew on it to disperse the heat on the surface, scooped up a spoonful of porridge, blew on it, and fed it to Song Linluo's mouth, saying, "Luo'er, try it."

Song Linluo opened his mouth and drank the porridge, praising: "The porridge fed by Fuan is really delicious."

Jun Wuyang said softly, "Playful."

But he did feel warm inside when his own little girl praised him.

Song Linluo took the porridge and drank it himself.

Jun Wuyang sat aside and watched Song Linluo drink the porridge spoonful by spoonful.

Song Linluo noticed Jun Wuyang looking at her, she put down the bowl in her hand and said, "Fuan, why are you looking at me?"

Jun Wuyang raised his hand and rubbed his fingers on Song Linluo's lips. Finally, he moved his fingertips to the corner of Song Linluo's lips, removed the rice there and said, "There is a grain of rice on the corner of your mouth."

Song Linluo paused, grabbed Jun Wuyang's arm, and said, "Fuan, there's no need to bother you with these things. Just tell me."

Jun Wuyang pulled his hand back and said, "Okay, I'll tell you next time."

Jun Wuyang looked at the hand that had just touched Song Linluo, as if he was savoring the memory...
