Instead of answering directly, Zu'an asked, "May I ask, Goddess, did the world know who possessed the elixir of immortality before these past few days?"
The Goddess of Wushan shook her head slightly: "The elixir of immortality is a supreme treasure of heaven and earth, and people flock to it, but most of them return empty-handed. This is because the elixir of immortality is extremely mysterious. Even though I was Bao Jiang's friend before, I did not know that he had the elixir of immortality in his possession."
"This time, the brothers Erfu and Yayu fought each other. It's likely that someone was instigating it behind the scenes. But both of them are gods, and if they're not careful, they'll be doomed. What could the person behind this be doing, taking such a big risk to instigate this? It can't just be because they don't like Yayu, can it?" Zu'an didn't directly state the conclusion he had heard from later generations.
The main problem is that if the other party asks, he won't be able to explain why he knows so much.
This is, after all, a world with gods. He was worried that revealing his time travel would cause all sorts of unpredictable dangers, so he simply gave a vague answer, guiding the other party to guess the answer themselves.
The Goddess of Wushan was no fool; she quickly realized, "You mean the person hiding behind this is trying to use this opportunity to find out where the elixir of immortality is?"
“This is highly likely, especially now that Baojiang has left his cave and gone to the Heavenly Court alone to report back. If the person behind the scenes is going to make a move, they will most likely choose this time,” Zu An said in a deep voice.
The Goddess of Wushan's expression changed several times. With a wave of her hand, a mirror formed of clouds and rain appeared in front of her, emitting strange fluctuations.
"I can't contact him." The Goddess of Wushan put away her magic, her expression somewhat solemn.
Zuan looked at the space where the cloud-rain had just been located with surprise, thinking that it must be something like a video mirror.
"I wonder which way he went. Is it too late for us to catch up?" Zu'an asked hurriedly, while also trying to take this opportunity to find out some information about the Heavenly Court.
The Goddess of Wushan paced gently in the room. Even the Holy Maiden had to admit that she was graceful and captivating: "I heard from the Heavenly God Baojiang that he is currently collecting a special herb and is on his way to the Heavenly Court. If you follow him, you might be able to catch up with him."
Realizing the implication in her words, Zu'an was taken aback: "Isn't the goddess going?"
The other person looked so much like Da Manman that he felt an immediate connection to her. At the same time, he wanted to find out if the other person had any connection with Da Manman. He was naturally disappointed to hear that she didn't seem to have any intention of going.
"I cannot stray too far from Wushan," the Goddess of Wushan said calmly, without offering much explanation.
Zu'an didn't want to press further, so he asked about Baojiang instead: "Which road should we take to find the God Baojiang?"
The world is so vast that blindly searching is worse than looking for a needle in a haystack.
The Goddess of Wushan drew a few lines in the air with her fingers, and soon the clouds gathered to form a simple map: "Follow this map and you should be able to catch up with him near Kunlun Mountain."
"Kunlun Mountain?" Zu An glanced at the Holy Maiden subconsciously. She had suggested going to Kunlun Mountain back then, but unexpectedly, after all the twists and turns, they ended up going there again. What a coincidence.
"Because Kunlun Mountain is the only way to the Heavenly Court," the Goddess of Wushan explained. "Everyone going to the Heavenly Court must pass through Kunlun Mountain."
Zu An's heart skipped a beat. So that's how it is. No wonder Kunlun has such an important meaning in many cultures and myths.
He took the opportunity to inquire about some matters concerning the Heavenly Court, but the goddess of Wushan's expression turned cold: "I don't like that place, and I don't want to talk about anything related to it."
After saying that, she turned and left, leaving behind only a graceful silhouette.
Zuan was completely bewildered, wondering if she was angry because he had been too forward with her before.
The saintess tugged at his sleeve, her expression amused: "Stop looking, they're all gone."
Zu An chuckled awkwardly: "Little sister Ling'er, do you really think there are two people in this world who look so alike?"
“There are indeed two people in the world who look very alike, but to be exactly the same as someone else…” The saintess fell silent, silently adding to herself, “There’s only one possibility…”
Worried that Zuan would continue to ask questions, she quickly changed the subject, saying, "Let's hurry up, or we'll miss our chance."
With that, he pulled Zu'an and flew out of the mountains.
Sensing her urgency, Zu'an couldn't help but be moved. His little sister truly cared for Xiao Xi, fearing that she couldn't find the glass hairpin to save her.
As the two departed, atop the distant Wushan Mountains, a slender and beautiful stone peak appeared and disappeared amidst the clouds and mist.
Gradually, the stone peak transformed into a woman with flowing skirts. If Zu'an and the Holy Maiden were here, they would definitely recognize her as the Yao Ji from before.
The Goddess of Wushan watched the two figures disappear into the distance, her delicate brows furrowing slightly: "Strange..."
She couldn't understand why she felt a sense of familiarity with the man she didn't know.
The girl next to her also seemed odd; she sensed something she didn't like about her.
As a cloud drifted by, the woman's figure gradually disappeared, eventually transforming back into a slender and beautiful stone peak.
Zuan and the Holy Maiden had been traveling a long way. Seeing the weariness between her brows, Zuan couldn't help but feel a little apologetic: "Sister Ling'er, you've really had a hard time. You haven't rested at all these days and have been traveling the whole time."
It's kind of funny when you think about it. They sped all the way to Baoyuan Mountain, but after arriving there, they had to go to Kunlun Mountain soon after.
They could both fly now, and with their current strength, they weren't afraid of those aerial beasts as long as they were careful.
No matter how fast he flew, the world was simply too vast, and even with Zu An's cultivation level, he was now feeling somewhat fatigued.
