Upon hearing the name Gonggong, Zuan's expression shifted slightly. He had encountered Gonggong in the secret realm before, and the oppressive aura of that big boss left a deep impression on him.
From afar, one could see a figure with a human face and a snake's body standing atop the waterspout, its red hair flowing freely in the wind, making it appear exceptionally flamboyant and unrestrained.
Zuan frowned slightly. This was not the Gonggong he had seen in the secret realm last time. He remembered that Xiang Liu, one of Gonggong's subordinates, had mentioned that Gonggong was a position, so there were many generations of Gonggong.
So, is the Gonggong that people now call the Ancestral Witch the first Gonggong?
But what's the deal with these witches? Why are so many of them human-headed and snake-bodied?
With Gonggong leading the way, many figures flew out from the mountains, all exuding powerful auras, clearly indicating that they were all great figures of the Wu tribe.
Previously, they were intimidated by the power of the Heavenly Emperor and dared not step forward. Now that Gonggong is leading the way, they naturally want to come out and show their strength.
They had no connection with Baojiang and didn't care who was right or wrong in the whole matter, but they cared a lot about the face of the Wu tribe.
The Heavenly Emperor has gone too far. He actually went to the territory of the Ancestral Witch Zhulong and publicly executed his son.
Zhulong, for reasons unknown, actually tolerated it, but they couldn't swallow this insult!
Over the years, the Heavenly Demon Clan and the Earthly Witch Clan have had too many conflicts, and it is no longer clear who was at fault first. Everyone has accumulated a great deal of hatred and regards each other as thorns in their side.
The Heavenly Emperor's golden statue looked at Gonggong with a cold expression: "Gonggong, what do you want?"
Gonggong stood atop the giant wave, his red hair flying wildly, his aura no less imposing than that of the golden figure: "Gu is a member of the Wu clan. Even if he needs to be dealt with, it should be done internally by our Wu clan. Your public killing of him is breaking the rules."
"Since Gu has taken over the divine office of the Heavenly Court, he should naturally abide by the Heavenly Court's rules. My punishment of him is in accordance with the Heavenly Laws and also with the agreement made between the Wu and Yao tribes back then," the Heavenly Emperor said calmly.
At this moment, a powerful member of the Wu clan from among the mountains said loudly, "Hehe, I knew why the Heavenly Court appointed us Wu clan to divine positions back then. It turns out they were setting a trap for us. In that case, we might as well not have these divine positions!"
His lead garnered the support of many powerful figures among the witch clans: "Indeed, it's a pity that many witch clans fought amongst themselves for a divine position in previous years, only to find that what they gained was nothing more than a shackle."
"Since becoming a god means being at the mercy of the Heavenly Court, I dare not take on this divine position anymore."
...
Powerful voices rose and fell from the mountains, quickly escalating into a state of heightened emotion.
Zu'an looked on with a strange expression. This Heavenly Emperor must be feeling quite aggrieved. So many people are ignoring him. It seems that the war between the Lich King and the Demon King has indeed reached a fever pitch.
He couldn't help but ask Xing Tian and Kua Fu beside him, "You two were also witnesses to this event, so what's your take on it?"
Kuafu said in a deep voice, "Gu did indeed have a reason to bring this upon himself, but what those people said is not without merit. If anyone should be punished, it should be the Goddess Houtu who should step in, not the Heavenly Emperor."
Xing Tian, meanwhile, was sharpening his axe against his shield, saying, "Fight! Fight! My great axe is itching for a fight!"
Seeing his high-spirited fighting spirit, Zuan was speechless. This guy didn't care about the truth at all; all he wanted was to fight.
His gaze then fell on the Goddess of Wushan beside him. Because she looked very much like Da Manman, he had a natural fondness for her.
Oh, my Manman is so beautiful!
"Do I have flowers on my face? Why are you staring at me?" The Goddess of Wushan said calmly, gazing at Zhongshan Mountain in the distance.
Mikado Baiharu sneered inwardly. This guy really was a walking stud, his mind full of filthy things.
The Mermaid Queen also had a strange expression. "Brother Zu is good in every way, except that he's a bit lecherous."
However, considering that he was such a person, yet he had been able to suppress his feelings and treat me with courtesy, unwilling to provoke me, he truly was a gentleman.
Feeling the gazes of the two women beside him, Zu An couldn't help but feel his face burning: "I wanted to see what the goddess's attitude was towards this matter."
"So what did you see?" The Goddess of Wushan remained calm.
Zuan secretly sighed that although she looked similar to Da Manman, their personalities were completely opposite. One was passionate and charming, while the other was cold as ice. In some ways, her personality was closer to Chu Yan's.
Thinking of Chu Yan, his heart ached, and his tone became somewhat desolate: "It seems that the young lady doesn't care how things develop."
Seemingly sensing his change in mood, the Goddess of Wushan turned and glanced at him before replying, "These things are indeed none of my business."
She only got involved because Bao Jiang was her friend; now that the culprit has been brought to justice, she doesn't care about anything else.
Zuan was somewhat surprised. Although the Goddess of Wushan lived in Lingshan, she did not seem to be from the Wu clan, but rather from the Heavenly Court. Now she was acting as if it was none of her business. Wasn't she afraid that the Heavenly Court would suffer a loss?
At this moment, in a cave nestled among the mountains, the Lord of Slaughter and Salami stood respectfully behind a man in black robes: "Master is indeed a master strategist; with a mere trick, he has stirred up a conflict between the Lich and Demon races."
When they recalled everything that had happened, it truly felt like a lifetime ago.
After entering this special world, for some reason, one morning when I woke up, Morgard had suddenly disappeared.
They were greatly alarmed; Moggard was no ordinary man, and he had been resting with them that night.
But then he just vanished, disappearing without a trace, without a sound.
Given the cultivation levels of the Lord of Slaughter and Salami, the fact that they didn't sense anything amiss can only mean that the being who caused their disappearance was incredibly powerful.
