After her initial panic subsided, Zhao Xiaodie gradually calmed down, and her previous arrogance returned to her face: "Do you dare to kill me? I am the daughter of the Prince of Qi, and the Princess Caidie, bestowed by the imperial court. If you really do anything to me, it would be a crime punishable by the extermination of nine generations of your family!"
Zu An nodded: "If the imperial court finds out, I will indeed be in big trouble."
"You know now, why aren't you letting me go?" Noticing the softening of the other person's tone, Zhao Xiaodie felt a little smug and instinctively tried to shake off his hand. Unfortunately, she didn't know what trick he had used, but she was completely powerless and couldn't move at all.
Zu An smiled slightly, reached out and grasped her hand, then traced the bright red fingernails on her neck: "Your poison is quite potent, but you shouldn't be immune to your own, right? If I lightly scratch your fair neck, you'll turn into a pool of blood, and who would know it was me? This alley is very secluded; no one will come here anytime soon. Then I can just take your head and throw it in a latrine to destroy the evidence, right?"
"By the way, it seems you were the one who told me that this poison can dissolve your entire body, but not your head, right?"
Hearing these familiar words, Zhao Xiaodie almost cried, never expecting retribution to come so quickly.
She was of noble birth and highly skilled; how could a man normally get so close to her?
She could still feel the warmth of his palm on her hand. She had imagined all sorts of scenarios of being held by her future lover's hand, but she never expected that their first time being so intimate would be under these circumstances.
But at this moment, she felt neither tenderness nor anger; all that remained was fear.
She knew all too well how terrifying her poison was; the process of watching her entire body melt away from the inside out while fully conscious was worse than death.
She naturally had the antidote, but at this moment, her vital points were sealed and she couldn't access them, and the other party couldn't possibly feed it to her.
"No!" Zhao Xiaodie exclaimed. She knew that she had lost the battle of words by speaking like that, but she didn't dare to take the risk. After all, this guy was the kind of person who dared to break her older brother's leg. Who knew if he would act impulsively?
My life, which is as beautiful as a flower, hasn't even begun yet, how can I die here?
"Oh?" Zuan's face showed a hint of mockery. "Then kneel down and kowtow to me three hundred times, and maybe I'll be in a good mood and spare your life."
"I just told you to kowtow a hundred times!" Zhao Xiaodie exclaimed anxiously.
Zu An's expression turned serious: "What, can't I make you kowtow three hundred times?"
Zhao Xiaodie bit her lip and turned her head to the side.
"What, you're not going to kneel? Then don't blame me for being ruthless." Zu'an pretended to take her hand and gesture towards her neck.
Zhao Xiaodie took a deep breath, but her chest was still heaving rapidly, clearly she was still very scared. However, she still forced herself to calm down and said, "Kill me if you want. As a member of the royal family, if I have to live in such humiliation, I might as well be dead!"
"However, if you don't want anyone to know, then don't do it in the first place. If you really kill me today, we'll find some clues afterward. Then, neither my father, the imperial court, nor Lihentian will let you off the hook!"
"Threatening me?" Zuan's expression turned cold, and she directly scratched her neck with her fingernail.
Feeling a sharp pain and smelling blood, Zhao Xiaodie panicked: "No! The antidote, give me the antidote now!"
"Will you kowtow or not?" Zu An said coldly.
"I'm so angry!" Zhao Xiaodie couldn't help but cry. This guy was truly like a demon.
"Wouldn't it have been better to do this sooner? Why did you have to ask for it?" Zuan said coldly. "Where is the antidote?"
"In my arms, the green porcelain bottle," Zhao Xiaodie said quickly. She could feel the poison spreading in her wound. If she hadn't been frequently exposed to poison and had an unusually high resistance, half of her neck might have melted away by now.
Zuan wasn't afraid of any traps she might set. He reached into her bosom and rummaged around for a while until he found the antidote and fed it to her.
"Cough cough~" Zhao Xiaodie coughed violently. Feeling that the other party had let go of her, she hurriedly took the antidote and poured some more onto the wound on her neck.
This person is truly a devil; he is incredibly audacious to try and kill her!
Zuan watched quietly as she finished all this: "Can I kowtow now?"
Zhao Xiaodie gritted her teeth, raised her head, and said, "I'm sorry for what happened before. I apologize to you."
Zuan snorted coldly: "If apologies were enough, what would be the point of officials and laws in this world?"
"You're abusing your power now too. If you're so capable, go ahead and send me to the authorities for trial," Zhao Xiaodie muttered.
Zu An laughed: "You wish!"
How many officials in this world would dare to truly make things difficult for the King of Qi's daughter?
Zhao Xiaodie took a deep breath and looked at him with a complicated expression: "I've already apologized to you, what more do you want?"
"I'll kowtow," Zu'an replied crisply.
Zhao Xiaodie gritted her teeth: "After all, I am a princess, and I have my pride too."
The other party stared at him coldly, showing no intention of backing down.
She forced herself to say, "I've figured it out now. You don't actually dare to kill me. Let's each back down. I'll apologize to you and prepare a generous gift for you afterwards. You can choose any rare and precious materials or divine weapons you like."
"Oh, choose whatever you like? Do you have Heavenly Water or Jade Marrow?" Zu An asked. If he could find the materials his sister, the Empress, needed to rebuild her body, he would not only release her but also treat her with great respect.
Zhao Xiaodie looked completely bewildered: "What is that?"
