He nodded, mimicking Hei Chiran's earlier gesture: "I'm going to the palace to see the Crown Prince."
The reason he chose to disguise himself as Hei Chi Ran was because of his relationship with the Crown Prince. His aunt was the Crown Prince's birth mother, and given this bond, it was perfectly normal for him to go see the Crown Prince.
The guards, as expected, did not suspect anything and stepped aside, saying, "Lord Blacktooth, please."
Zuan was surprised by how smoothly things went and walked straight inside.

Turning around, I saw a golden-armored general leading a pair of guards walking towards me.

"Lord Black Tooth, why are you back again?" The golden-armored general had a long face, which made his face look particularly narrow, giving him a strange appearance.
Zu An's heart stirred, recalling Kong Qing's description of the situation in the palace. He returned the greeting and said, "General Ma, the Crown Prince has something to discuss with me, how could I not reply?"
"The Crown Prince is looking for you? How come I didn't know?" The golden-armored general didn't object to his address; he was clearly General Ma Tian of the Left Guard. As he spoke, he glanced outside. "Huh, why don't I see your entourage?"
Zuan reacted quickly: "Because it's a confidential matter, I didn't bring anyone with me."
Hearing him speak so mysteriously, Ma Tian decided not to ask any further questions, after all, Hei Chi Ran's relationship with the Crown Prince was closer than his own.
