"After all these years, I'm finally out of this damned coffin." The skeleton suddenly sat up, its mouth opening and closing, making the exact same sound as before.
"So it was you who was behind this." The Demon Emperor was both shocked and furious.
The skeleton didn't answer; instead, it opened its arms as if breathing, revealing an expression of enjoyment—who knows how one could read an expression on a skeleton.
"Finally, I can breathe the air of freedom; it smells so sweet."
Wu Liang couldn't help but mutter, "In your current state, can you even smell anything?"
The skeleton sighed, "I really can't smell it anymore, but I can imagine it."
Everyone: "..."
"Why are you in such a ghastly state?" The Demon Emperor stared coldly at it. The other party's aura was far too weak. Not to mention him, even the weakest Wu Liang could easily kill it.
"What else could it be? It has been lying here for countless years, so naturally its flesh and blood have all turned to dust." The skeleton seemed to be telling a story that had nothing to do with itself.
"Didn't you just mention immortality?" The Demon Emperor's face was ashen. "So you were lying to me!"
A terrifying pressure spread outwards, causing the entire tomb chamber to shake. Countless grains of sand and gravel fell from above, and even Wu Liang in the corner was having trouble breathing. Clearly, he had been full of expectations, thinking there would be news of immortality, but after being deceived, the Demon Emperor was truly enraged.
The skeleton seemed to be lifted into the air by an invisible hand, its neck gripped. It struggled desperately but was powerless to break free, as if it would be crushed into pieces at any moment.
"The Goldenrain Tree's Elixir of Immortality!" As if sensing that it was about to be destroyed at any moment, the skeleton hurriedly uttered a word.
The Demon Emperor's heart stirred: "What is that?"
"On the Great Wilderness Cloud-Rain Mountain, there is a red stone with a goldenrain tree growing on it. It bears an elixir of immortality, which can make a person immortal if eaten."
"Is this what you call immortality? You look like a ghost now!" the Demon Emperor roared.
"At the time, I only hastily ate half an unripe fruit, and my cultivation level was not high enough to exert the true effect of the elixir of immortality," the skeleton said, clutching its throat. "Even so, it allowed me to live through a long period of time and live until now."
"Where is the Great Wilderness Cloud-Rain Mountain you mentioned?" The Demon Emperor's eyes gleamed with fervor.
“I don’t know,” White Bone hurriedly said when he saw the other person’s expression change drastically, “but my father knows.”
