Chapter 188 Blood Sacrifice

“This terrifying seal was used to imprison that woman. She is definitely more dangerous than we imagine. Whether releasing her will be a blessing or a curse is unknown.” Chu Chuyan’s tone was full of worry.

Qiao Xueying couldn't help but say, "Miss Chu, instead of being so pessimistic, you should worry more about that guy. The time we agreed on is almost here, and he hasn't come out yet. I wonder if he's encountered any danger."

Chu Chuyan glanced at her in surprise, a thoughtful look on her face.

"What are you talking about?" Just then, an astonishingly cold aura swept over them. The two women turned around and saw that the black-armored general had silently returned to the altar.

Looking at the pool, everything had completely calmed down; the escaped spirits had either been destroyed or resealed.

Qiao Xueying jumped up instantly, shielding Chu Chuyan. Her heart was pounding, as she knew the difference in strength between them was too great, and she couldn't stop the other party at all.

"Xue'er, leave quickly, you are no match for it." Chu Chuyan obviously knew this as well, and hurriedly said.

"No, we went through so much trouble just to save you, how can we give up now? Besides, I already promised that guy." Qiao Xueying said, pursing her lips.

"Huh, where's the other man?" General Zhang Han in black armor looked around but didn't see Zu An.

Qiao Xueying was worried that Zu An hadn't rescued the mysterious woman yet, and that luring Zhang Han there prematurely would ruin everything, so she replied, "He's already gone."

"Gone?" Zhang Han was stunned. "He impersonated the First Emperor right in front of me, and just left like that!"

Qiao Xueying and Chu Chuyan's expressions changed slightly; they hadn't expected him to see through their deception.

"Forget it, I'll settle the score with him after I repair the seal." Zhang Han snorted, then looked at Qiao Xueying, "Are you going to stop me?"

Qiao Xueying didn't speak, but instead casually summoned countless green leaves that shot towards the opponent like blades. After taking Zuan's "Brother Xin Chun" earlier, her strength had recovered by more than half.

Zhang Han didn't move an inch, letting the green leaves fall on him, only to be completely turned to nothing by the black aura swirling around him.

Qiao Xueying gritted her teeth, her beautiful hair growing rapidly, but this time she didn't attack. Instead, she wove a thicket of thorns in front of her, hoping to block the opponent for as long as possible.

"Get out of my way!" A long spear suddenly appeared in Zhang Han's hand, and with a single sweep, the dense thicket of thorns was instantly cut in two.

Qiao Xueying had prepared for the worst, but she still didn't expect that her strongest defense couldn't even stop the opponent for a second.

She tried to dodge in advance, but it was too late. She was struck by the opponent's spear, and like a broken sandbag, she spat out blood as she arced through the air before crashing heavily to the side.

Zhang Han, however, arrived first, his figure appearing as if he had teleported to the spot where she was about to fall. He raised his spear high and sneered, "Since you are the accomplice of that traitor who impersonated His Majesty, then die!"

Qiao Xueying gritted her teeth. She had nowhere to dodge and was about to use "Mirror Flower Water Moon" to block this fatal blow when Chu Chuyan, who had been watching the battle from the altar, quickly said, "Stop, or I'll bite my tongue and kill myself!"

With her knowledge, she naturally knew that if the sacrificial offering died prematurely, it would greatly affect the effectiveness of the ritual.

Zhang Han paused, then instantly returned to the altar: "You reminded me, I almost forgot that although you can't move your limbs, you can still move your tongue."

After saying that, he tapped her chin with his finger, completely immobilizing her.

"Forget it, to avoid any unforeseen complications, let's begin the blood sacrifice." Zhang Han chanted an obscure incantation.

Black mist surged from all directions toward the altar, making the surrounding air thick as ink. Then, monsters that looked like demons struggled to crawl out, their hands slowly reaching for Chu Chuyan on the altar.

Even with her strong will, Chu Chuyan was now feeling extremely uneasy. Unfortunately, she was already a cripple and had been placed under a restriction, so she couldn't move an inch.

Qiao Xueying, who was standing to the side, bit her lip and rushed over again.

Zhang Han snorted: "Since you're courting death, then let's die together."

After he finished speaking, his dark hand suddenly reached out. Qiao Xueying tried her best to dodge but couldn't. She was instantly subdued and lost all her strength.

Just as he was about to throw her into the swirling black mist, a sharp voice suddenly rang out: "How dare you! You've injured one of my people!"
