Bao Youlu smiled slightly: "So, son-in-law, you also know the art of medicine. Have you yet asked which divine physician you should learn from?"
Although he was laughing, a subtle hint of sarcasm was evident in his tone.
Zuan shook his head: "I don't have any divine physician father."
Just then, a cold question from Mi Li echoed in his mind: "Then what am I?"
"You're my beautiful queen sister, not my master," Zu'an thought to himself.
"That's more like it." Mi Li snorted. Although you couldn't see her face, you could easily imagine the slight upturn of her lips.
Qin Wanru, who was standing to the side, was already somewhat dissatisfied when she heard him suddenly say that. She had thought that he really had some ability, after all, he seemed to have mentioned a mysterious master before.
Upon hearing his denial, she could no longer contain herself: "If you don't understand, don't pretend to. Don't waste our time. Master, go to the next prefecture and find Ji Dengtu. No matter what it takes, bring him back."
Chu Zhongtian said in a deep voice, "Don't worry, this concerns my daughter's safety. I'll risk my reputation to invite him here. I'll leave the family to you, Madam!"
Without pausing after speaking, he flashed out the door and disappeared into the night sky.
Zu An shrugged and turned to walk out. Qin Wanru glanced at him, frowned, but quickly returned her attention to her daughter.
"Why did you come out?" Mi Li's puzzled voice came from beside him.
Zu An replied, "There's no point in me saying anything more here. Qin Wanru is unlikely to believe me, so why bother making a fool of myself?"
"Aren't you going to save your wife?" Mi Li's voice was full of mockery.
Zuan said in a deep voice, "Let's think of other methods."
Just then, a beautiful figure chased after them: "Brother-in-law, wait a minute!"
Zu An turned around and saw that it was Chu Huanzhao who had chased after him. His expression softened a little: "Little Zhao, it's you."
Chu Huanzhao stared at him with her big eyes: "Do you really have a way to save my sister?"
Despite the previous cold war with him, what did these things matter compared to his sister's safety?
"It should... be okay." Zu'an recalled the method Mi Li taught him, and it didn't seem like he was just fooling around.
"What do you mean by 'should'? Is it even possible?" Chu Huanzhao asked anxiously.
“Okay!” Zuan replied seriously.
"Okay, I'll go tell Mother." Chu Huanzhao turned and went into the house. Not long after, a fierce argument broke out inside.
After listening to the gist of the conversation, it seemed that Chu Huanzhao insisted on having him treat her, but Qin Wanru firmly refused.
Finally, Chu Huanzhao ran out, wiping away her tears, and quickly said to Zu An, "Don't worry, I'll let you save my sister." Then she ran into the night.
Zuan was completely confused; what did she mean by that?
Just then, Qin Wanru stormed out, furious: "What kind of drug did you give Xiao Zhao to make her so siding with you?"
Qin Wanru's anger level increased by 678!
Zuan shrugged, looking like he'd been unfairly targeted: "What makes you say that? Besides, Xiao Zhao isn't a kid anymore. He has his own judgment. He's not so easily fooled."
"I hate you just by looking at your glib tongue. You tricked my Yan'er before, and now you're trying to trick my Xiaozhao. No way!" Qin Wanru pointed at him and scolded angrily. "I know there are many people in Mingyue City who have designs on those two sisters. If you dare to have such thoughts, I'll make sure you die a horrible death."
Qin Wanru's anger level increased by 777!
Zuan's expression turned cold: "Have you said enough?!"
He was getting impatient. He wondered if this woman's unsatisfied nature was causing her to be so irritable. Every time, she would start yelling at him without asking any questions. He had had enough.
"You...you..." Qin Wanru was stunned, clearly not expecting that her previously submissive son-in-law would dare to speak to her like that.
Just as she was about to lash out, a maid's voice came from behind her: "Madam, Miss is awake."
Qin Wanru glared at him fiercely: "I'll settle the score with you later!"
After saying that, she lifted her skirt and quickly ran back into the house.
Zu An hesitated for a moment, then asked softly, "Are you sure Chu Yan won't die anytime soon?"
Mi Li nodded: "Although she is terminally ill, she won't die in the next day or two."
Zu An was relieved and quickly returned to his room. He then summoned Cheng Shouping and asked him to go to the manor's medicine storehouse to find some medicines and necessities that would be needed later.
Even in a grand ducal mansion, these supplies are plentiful.
Then he found a dummy and mentally reviewed what Mi Li had taught him before.
Even if he is highly talented now, he has never had any medical experience before. He may know many things in his mind but not in his hands, so he needs to practice and become familiar with them.
"What are you doing?" Just then, a sinister voice rang out.
Zu An's heart skipped a beat, and he hurriedly turned around, only to find that Old Man Mi was already standing at the door at some point.
"You've arrived, sir." Zu An hurriedly bowed.
Old Man Mi glanced at the mannequin and said with some doubt, "Are you studying medicine?"
Zuan chuckled awkwardly, "I was just curious and wanted to practice a bit."
"Thinking about breaking the seal on your place as soon as possible?" Old Man Mi revealed a smile that was more like a grimace. "I heard you have a good relationship with Doctor Ji's daughter. Don't be misled by her. Your seal cannot be removed by external forces. Just follow my instructions to improve your cultivation and reach the Grandmaster level as soon as possible."
"Senior is right." Zu An did not tell him that he had recovered. For some reason, he felt that it was better not to say anything.
