"Why should I care?" Jing Teng said with a faint smile.
"You don't even care that your body was stolen? Who knows what the other person will do with it?" Even Qiu Honglei's attention was drawn to this, and she couldn't care less about settling scores with Zu An.
Vesso nodded hastily, already imagining all sorts of inappropriate scenes, wondering how many unsavory things others had done with her original body.
Noticing the looks in their eyes, Jing Teng chuckled and said, "You're overthinking it. It's just a piece of vine."
"Tree vines?" The group was relieved when they realized that she was indeed a tree vine monster.
Only Zuan asked doubtfully, "Doesn't your power reside within your physical body? If it falls into someone else's hands, it might be absorbed by them."
"Don't worry, it can't be absorbed." Jing Teng shook his head. "Only someone who thinks that it contains my power would ruin his big plan."
Zaun assumed that her true form was somewhat special, perhaps due to some kind of restriction that only she could use: "But now that your true form is lost, you can't regain your power, so you obviously can't fulfill your promise to help me find my companions..."
"Are you trying to abandon me?" Jing Teng lowered his eyelids, his expression somewhat cold.
“That’s not what I meant, it’s just…” Zu’an was interrupted by Qiu Honglei before he could finish speaking.
“We made a deal before: we would help you find your original body, and you would help us find our companions. It was a fair trade, and we would never cheat you. We have already escorted you all the way to where your original body is, but your original body has vanished without a trace. We don’t even know who stole it. We still need to find our companions. We don’t have time to waste with you anymore.”
Qiu Honglei had clearly made up her mind that she absolutely could not let the two of them be together; it was too dangerous.
Sensing the other party's angry expression, Jing Teng smiled and said, "Miss Qiu, I just borrowed your man to put an end to some thoughts that the man surnamed Zang might have. I hope you won't take it to heart."
Qiu Honglei was taken aback: "Really?"
Actually, she had thought of this before, but Jing Teng's performance was just too convincing.
Zuan smiled wryly, "Of course it's true..."
Qiu Honglei ignored his explanation and stared intently at Jing Teng.
Jing Teng smiled and said, "That's true. Even if you don't believe me, you should believe your man."
Qiu Honglei blushed: "It's because I trusted him too much that I knew you looked exactly like his type."
Jing Teng's eyes lit up, and he looked at Zu An with a half-smile.
Zuan coughed lightly: "Where did you get to from this?"
Qiu Honglei was also a little embarrassed, but she didn't completely believe Jing Teng's words: "If it's just to deceive that Zang guy, why don't you go to Wei Suo instead of my Azu?"
Vesso nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, I can pretend to be your boyfriend too."
Jing Teng glanced at Wei Suo and couldn't help but sigh: "Do you think Zang Ao would believe that?"
Qiu Honglei glanced at Wei Suo's large front teeth and subconsciously nodded: "That's true..."
Any woman who wants to deceive her ex-boyfriend would definitely find someone more handsome and outstanding than him, so that he would feel pain, inferiority and regret. If she found someone like Weisso, wouldn't she just be ridiculed by him instead?
Vesso: "..."
Although the two didn't say anything specific, their expressions seemed to have stabbed him in the heart with a thousand sharp knives.
“Even so, you don’t have a single clue right now, and we can’t afford to waste any more time,” Qiu Honglei said, suddenly remembering something.
A woman's innate sensitivity made her realize that if she let the two of them stay any longer, things would definitely escalate into a fight.
What's more, Yan Xuehen just secretly reminded me to keep an eye on Zu'an.
Wait a minute, why is she reminding me like that?
It's probably because of her first appearance...
"I'm not completely clueless, and didn't I already find you a companion?" Jing Teng thought of the woman in white from earlier, and wondered why all of Zu An's friends were such fairy-like beings. He thought Qiu Honglei was already one of the rarest in the world, but now there was another one.
Qiu Honglei was taken aback: "Master Yan, does that count too?"
“Of course,” Jing Teng raised his chin, “If you hadn’t come here with me, would you have reunited with her?”
“Even so, but…” Qiu Honglei felt that something was not right.
"Don't worry, I'll find my true form soon, and then I'll find all your companions," Jing Teng interrupted her.
A look of struggle crossed Qiu Honglei's face, but she finally let out a reluctant sigh: "Fine."
If she had met her master today, she might not have gone after the other two women, but now that her master's whereabouts are unknown, she can't help but worry.
At worst, we can just keep a closer eye on this woman from now on.
"Do you have any clues about the whereabouts of the original body?" Zuan asked curiously. The other party was too calm, as if he had expected everything.
She didn't rush to answer, but instead waved her hand to set up a barrier nearby, then took out the jade pendant necklace hidden in the groove of her chest and took everyone into the cave.
Zuan and his companions felt a chill run down their spines. The other party's caution indicated that this secret was no small matter.
As expected, after arranging everything, Jing Teng finally spoke up: "The vine buried in this stone coffin is not actually my true form."
Zuan and the others were immediately taken aback. It wasn't her true form?
But judging from Zang Ao's anxious expression, it didn't seem fake.
If Jing Teng could really deceive the other party, how could he have been fooled by him back then?
Seeing the doubts of the others, Jing Teng sighed softly: "Speaking of which, I have to thank Immortal Lord Baopu. After he enlightened me, he once cast a divination for me and found out that I was destined for a great calamity. I think he had already seen my fate and made corresponding arrangements, but he just didn't tell me the truth."
