Chapter 340 The Bottom of the Great Tomb

Zuan followed Jing Teng down one floor. The next floor was completely different from the one above. All he could see was a faint red color, and the air was filled with a strong smell of blood.

"Watch out!" Jing Teng reached out to block him, his expression extremely serious.

Zuan followed her gaze and saw some blood slowly flowing on the ground. The red mist in the air must be from this blood.

His gaze swept across the entire area, and he quickly found the source of the blood: a large door similar to the one above, except that half of this door had been stained red.

The blood was seeping out from inside. Although the room wasn't covered in blood yet, judging by the current situation, it probably wouldn't be long before the blood gradually covered the entire floor.

"Whatever you do, don't touch that blood, or the Blood Demon will drain all your life essence from you," Jing Teng warned him again, worried that he might be careless.

"Blood Demon?" Zuan looked at the red gate and wondered if the monster imprisoned inside was called the Blood Demon.

"Why does it feel like it's about to break through the seal?"

The entire space is almost being corrupted by the filth and blood.

“The seal on this tomb has malfunctioned, which has given it an opportunity. I estimate that it might be able to escape completely in a few more days,” Jing Teng said, his brows furrowed with worry.

She sighed, "Let's go, let's leave this place for now."

As she spoke, she led him further down the road. Zuan followed her and along the way they encountered all sorts of bizarre monsters, but these creatures all had one thing in common.

That is, they are all ugly in a unique way, making people feel disgusted and uneasy.

Listening to the low growls rising and falling, Zuan couldn't help but ask, "Didn't you say these monsters were sealed away and would fall into a deep sleep to conserve energy? Why do they sound like they're having a party?"

Despite the thick prison doors and seals, the occasional escaping fumes still sent chills down one's spine.

"Because they sensed that the seal on this great tomb had malfunctioned and saw hope of escape, they gradually began to awaken." Jing Teng's expression became calm.

Zuan's heart skipped a beat. Each of them was no less powerful than a Ghost King, and some were even stronger. If they all rushed out, wouldn't the whole world be doomed?

"Is no one going to take care of the seal on this great tomb? What happened to the people who built this tomb back then?"

Jing Teng paused, then shook his head: "I don't know either. Maybe they've already disappeared."

As he continued downwards, Zuan felt the pressure from all directions growing stronger, and the hairs on his body stood on end involuntarily.

The feeling was similar to being unarmed and thrown into a lion or tiger enclosure in a past life.

Fortunately, Jing Teng did not linger on each floor for long; he entered the staircase almost instantly and continued down the stairs.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, Jing Teng stopped as he stepped off the last flight of stairs: "Brother Zu, you might have been curious to see what the monsters looked like on some of the previous floors, but you absolutely must not look at the monsters on this next floor."

"Why?" Actually, even without her reminder, Zu'an could sense the danger in every cell of his body.

"Because you will die if you look at it even once." Jing Teng said solemnly.

Zuan asked doubtfully, "Are you sure you're not mistaken? That I'll die if he just glances at me?"

He still remembered that Immortal Lord Baopu had killed one of the Ghost King's clones with just a glance. Although it was a clone, its strength was almost the same as the original body.

“No,” Jing Teng shook his head, “you’ll die if you look at him even once.”

Zuan: "???"

Jing Teng explained, "He is an invisible being. Any creature that sees him will die. I can't even tell you his name. If I do, I will die, and if you hear his name, you will die too."

Zaun was truly shocked. Just seeing the other party or knowing their name could lead to death; such power was beyond his comprehension.

He couldn't help but ask Mi Li what exactly was going on.

Mi Li's voice was also somewhat solemn: "Some beings possess laws and mysteries that are too advanced for lower-level creatures to withstand. When you become powerful enough one day, you will not be crushed and killed by such disparate laws."

Zuan couldn't help but sigh: "I used to think Zhao Hao was the strongest in the world, but now I realize I was just a frog in a well."

Throughout thousands of years of history, Zhao Hao was indeed the strongest human recorded. At that time, everyone even doubted whether becoming an immortal was just a legend, and that Zhao Hao had reached the end of his cultivation.

Mi Li replied, "The power of origin in Zhao Hao's world is not strong enough, which has limited its upper limit. It is not a problem with the human race in that world or with Zhao Hao himself."

"The power of origin?" Zuan's heart stirred.

"You can understand it this way: the stronger the primordial power, the more abundant the primordial energy in that world, the faster the cultivators will cultivate, and the higher the upper limit that the same talent can reach. Just like the secret realm you experienced in the Demon Clan Royal Mausoleum, the world inside has extremely powerful primordial power, and there are even gods and heavenly courts in it."

“The world where this secret realm is located is obviously more advanced in terms of primordial power than your world. However, I can sense that this world is incomplete, so there must be something wrong with it,” Mi Li explained.

Zuan was somewhat surprised: "How do you know so much?"

"How can you be a master if you don't understand so much?" Mi Li rolled her eyes. "I'm going to catch up on my sleep. Don't call me unless it's important."

After saying that, there was no more sound.

Zuan had countless complaints in his mind. This woman sleeps all day long; he didn't know where she got so much sleepiness from.
