Chapter 354 Robbery

Zuan couldn't help but laugh: "I didn't expect that Madam really has a sharp tongue but a soft heart."

Qin Wanru blushed slightly: "Shut up, the person is out."

Zuan peered through the gaps in the leaves and saw Sang Qian and his group emerge. A carriage had appeared in the middle, carrying several large boxes, which were clearly the salt permits.

"Strange, they haven't captured a single person." Qin Wanru, being of higher cultivation and with better eyesight, quickly identified their group.

“Sang Qian probably doesn’t want to make a big fuss. This move is a clear message to the black market: he won’t touch your people, but he wants this batch of goods, so they have to accept their loss,” Zu An analyzed.

Qin Wanru couldn't help but take another look at him. This guy was quick-witted when analyzing problems, unlike the silly hooligan she used to think of him.

Hmph, most of those previous performances were just an act. How dare you lie to me!

Qin Wanru's anger level increased by 379!

Zuan was taken aback. Why did he suddenly get angry?

"Come on, follow him!" Qin Wanru was a little annoyed that he had been pulling her along all along, so this time she decided to take the initiative and quietly followed him by grabbing his collar.

This was, after all, a city. Although it was a bit remote, there were houses and such everywhere on the road, making it easy to find cover. So even though she was carrying someone, she wasn't discovered by anyone.

Only Zuan looked depressed, being carried around like a chick. "Don't I have any dignity?"

Qin Wanru began to weigh the options in her mind. Sang Qian was only a fifth-rank official, and even if he had a bunch of subordinates, she still had a chance to seize the salt permit.

What's more, they have Zuan as an accomplice.

The only problem is those big boxes; they probably won't be so easy to take with us.

Sensing her eagerness, Zu'an quickly said, "Don't worry, someone will go."

As if to confirm his words, just as he finished speaking, a lot of arrows shot out from the box in front of him.

Although Sang Qian immediately drew his sword to defend himself, many arrows still broke through his defenses, killing many of his men behind him.

Immediately afterwards, a group of men in black, wielding gleaming knives, jumped out from the houses on both sides and charged straight at them.

Sang Qian was both shocked and furious: "Who are you people? Do you know that robbing and killing a government official is a heinous crime that results in the confiscation of property and the extermination of the entire clan!"

The men in black remained silent, focusing only on slashing at the crowd with their knives, each move aimed at vital points.

In almost the blink of an eye, all of Sang Qian's men were wounded.

Several of them have already died.

Qin Wanru's expression changed slightly: "Where did these men in black come from? Their individual cultivation levels are even higher than those of the Red Robe Army!"

I had insomnia last night and didn't fall asleep until after 5 a.m. I got up around 9 a.m. I haven't been feeling well all day, so this is the last chapter for now. I'll finish it tomorrow.

Ugh, I don't know if it's because of the hot weather lately, but my undershirt gets so hot and stuffy at night, I can't fall asleep.
