"Here, this is for you." Qin Wanru's voice came from behind.
Zuan felt a square token being placed in his hand. He picked it up and saw that it was a military tally.
To his surprise, it wasn't cold like metal at all; instead, it was incredibly warm and had a faint fragrance.
Qin Wanru blushed and whispered, "This thing is very important, so I've always kept it close to my body. After all, I am a duchess, and even though Liu Yao and his men searched everywhere in the mansion, they didn't dare to search my body, which is why I wasn't discovered."
Zuan recalled her earlier gesture of reaching into her collar and guessed where she had hidden the tiger tally. He couldn't help but glance at her again, wondering if she was really that wealthy.
Feeling uncomfortable under his gaze, Qin Wanru coughed lightly and hurriedly said, "Take this military tally and go to the camp in the suburbs to bring in the Red Robe Army. These guys are never going to stop. Do they really think our Chu family is easy to bully!"
Zuan was dumbfounded, thinking to himself that they really were related by blood, making the same choice this time.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Qin Wanru was startled and subconsciously looked down at her clothes, thinking that she hadn't buttoned them up properly after taking the military token.
"Actually, Chu Yan thought the same thing." Zu An told Chu Chu Yan about her plan.
“Good daughter,” Qin Wanru smiled, but quickly sighed, “It probably won’t go as smoothly as she thinks. This time, Hong Xingying reported us, and she still has the account book she gave me. It’s all my fault for being useless. Last time, Chu Tiesheng took the account book away.”
"Hong Xingying!" Zu An gritted his teeth. It was that guy who had just revealed his whereabouts, almost causing him to die at Liu Yao's hands.
