Chapter 475 Sneak Attack

Zuan nodded: "This place is indeed very dangerous; it's not a place you can venture into."

Why was the monster injured?

Could it be that we've encountered Ji Dengtu?

That old fellow was hiding his true strength; I never expected him to be able to severely injure this monster.

"Have you found any intelligence since you entered the mountains?" Zu'an looked around. The fog was getting thicker and thicker, and it had a purplish tinge, giving people an extremely oppressive feeling.

This must be deep inside Tongluo Mountain; I wonder how far it is from Yingyue Lake.

"No, it was just that a monster that came out almost wiped us all out," a group of constables said, still shaken.

Zuan nodded, realizing he couldn't really blame them: "Which direction did that monster just run off in?"

"Over there," the constable pointed in a direction, "is the Chief Priest going to capture that monster?"

Zuan nodded. Since he was here, he should find out what was going on first, otherwise he would feel uneasy.

The changes at Tongluo Mountain are truly bizarre.

“Let us show you the way,” the constable said. “We’ve been here for a while now and are quite familiar with the area. Of course, it’s safer to stay with you.”

Seeing the other person's somewhat nervous expression, Zu An chuckled and said, "Okay."

Letting them leave like this, they might not be able to leave these mountains alive. It's better to stay by his side and bring them out of the mountains together with Xiao Xi and the others.

Zu An took the lead, with Wang Shao and He Lu beside him. The constables spread out around them, protecting Zhang Qiaofu in the center.

However, the fog grew thicker and thicker, making it impossible to see anything more than a few meters away. Even Zu An's divine sense could only extend to a radius of several dozen feet. He couldn't help but sigh inwardly, realizing that his special cultivation method always lacked the supernatural powers of true earth immortals like Zhao Hao and the others.

If Zhao Hao were here, he would be able to sense things from even further away.

Of course, he has many special abilities provided by the keyboard, which are actually more worthwhile than the abilities of those earth immortals.

Suddenly a rustling sound came, and Zu An moved and appeared dozens of feet away.

There were no monsters here. Instead, a piece of paper was hanging on a tree branch, seemingly torn from a book, with a trace of blood still on it.

Zuan picked it up and saw the contents, which was an extremely erotic story excerpt. His eyebrows involuntarily rose.

"Chancellor, what have you found?" Soon the others ran over and asked nervously.

"It's nothing, probably just the sound of the wind." Zuan turned his back to them and discreetly tucked the page into his pocket.

"Chancellor, why don't we go out first? This place is really creepy." He Lu and Wang Shao swallowed hard.

“Okay!” Zuan nodded, this time without refusing.

Just then, a scream suddenly came from behind.

"Zhang the Woodcutter!" The constable exclaimed in surprise and hurriedly ran back. They had been chasing after him in such a hurry that they had left Zhang the Woodcutter behind.

Zu An flashed back to where they had been before, only to find Zhang Qiaofu lying in a pool of blood, his fate unknown.

He glanced around; the murderer must have already escaped.

Only then did he walk over to Zhang the woodcutter, turn him over to see where he was injured and whether he could be saved.

Who knew that the next second would bring a sudden change? The overturned woodcutter revealed a strange smile on his face, opened his mouth, and a shadow rushed directly toward Zu An's face. Its speed was even faster than the swords of the assassins from Youying Tower.

However, a golden light flashed, and before Zu An could even make a move, the shadow was already split in two. Only then could one see that the shadow was a creature similar to an alien facehugger, with several tentacles still twitching slightly on the ground.

"Zhang the woodcutter, what are you doing!" The constable was both shocked and furious, and rushed over to slash at Zhang the woodcutter with his knife.

However, just as the blade was halfway through its strike, it suddenly changed direction and slashed towards Zu An's throat, its speed increasing many times over.

Bang!

The constable was like a broken sandbag, flying more than ten meters away before crashing to the ground as if all his bones were shattered.

Seeing this, the other constables also drew their swords and slashed at Zu An.

With a flick of his sleeve, Zu An unleashed an invisible burst of energy, instantly twisting the waist knives in the hands of those men into pretzel shapes. The immense force continued to travel up the blades, quickly ripping the sleeves of several constables apart. Their bodies were twisted many times in the air by the rotating force before crashing heavily to the ground.

Their arms were naturally broken, and they were all dazed and confused, instantly losing their fighting ability.

"These constables are suspicious!" He Lu and Wang Shao rushed to Zu An's side, looking at everything with horror.

Zuan's gaze fell on the facehugger that had been cut in two: "I wonder what this is..."

Just then, Wang Shao and He Lu, who were beside him, both drew out a small knife and plunged it into his lower back, one on each side, with a ferocious look flashing across their faces.

Zuan sighed: "So you finally couldn't resist making a move after all?"

The two were taken aback. This man had been stabbed in a vital spot, yet he seemed completely unharmed.

They hurriedly drew their daggers again, and their eyes nearly popped out of their sockets, because they discovered that their daggers had broken into pieces, leaving only the hilt.

"How can this person's body be so stiff?"

The moment the two had a thought, they were sent flying by a tremendous force, crashing into a tree. Their blood and qi were churning, and they had no strength left.

"When did you find out?" The two looked at Zu'an in disbelief.
