“Any target he sees will…” The Thorn Bone Dragon started to say, but suddenly its face turned pale with terror, and it cried out in panic, “No, I didn’t betray you, don’t…”
Before it could finish speaking, a point of light suddenly appeared between its brows. The light then spread to its entire body, turning its dark color into a bright one. The next second, its entire body transformed into starlight and vanished into the world.
Zuan: "..."
We finally managed to capture a prisoner alive, and he seemed to have both low intelligence and low morals. We were just about to extract some useful information from him when he died.
It seems that the leader of the Thorn Bone Dragon had placed a restriction on its body beforehand. If it does anything treacherous, the restriction will be triggered and it will die on the spot.
Speaking of which, this Thorn Bone Dragon is already quite powerful. The fact that the leader was able to silently plant such a restriction in its body is simply unimaginable in terms of its strength.
Anything he sees will...
What can they do?
If any target he sees dies instantly, then there's no need to fight.
Speaking of which, Yu Yanluo also has a similar ability; anyone seen by her Medusa Eye will turn into a stone statue.
However, her ability has certain limitations and is linked to her own strength. If the target's strength far exceeds her own, she cannot petrify them. At most, she can only petrify a thin layer on their surface. If she forcibly petrifies the target, she will pay the price with her life.
That boss's strength is clearly far beyond Yu Yanluo's; if he were to give her a second glance, it would probably be nothing but bad news...
Unfortunately, there's no use thinking about it now; we can only return to the snow-capped mountain we were on before.
The Snow Woman had just recovered from her injuries and was about to go help when she saw him return. She was surprised and asked, "Did that bone dragon escape?"
Zuan shook his head and briefly recounted what had just happened: "I didn't expect that being of light and shadow to be so cunning, actually setting up a restriction inside the Thorn Bone Dragon beforehand."
"This is something no one could have predicted. You've already done a remarkable job defeating the Scorpion King and the Thorn Bone Dragon." The Snow Maiden seemed simple-minded and didn't think as much as Zaun did.
Zuan's eyes lit up, and he hurriedly flew to the valley and dragged the Scorpion King's corpse out of the snow.
"What are you going to do? Do you want to eat it?" The Snow Woman followed and asked in confusion, looking at the Scorpion King's ugly corpse with a hint of disgust in her eyes.
"Of course not, but this scorpion's stinger is a good thing." Zuan laughed as he gathered his sword energy to try and cut the opponent's tail, but the sword energy only left a few shallow marks on it.
"Huh, it seems its armor is quite good too." Zaun was overjoyed. The Thorn Bone Dragon had been burned to ashes by that mysterious light, making the fight pointless and even causing him considerable injury.
Fortunately, there is still the Scorpion King.
In the brief exchange, he noticed the extraordinary nature of the opponent's tail hook, which was clearly poisonous. When the tail hook approached, the hairs on his body stood on end, a clear instinctive warning that the thing could endanger his life.
Although mastering the Primordial Chaos Scripture granted him immunity to all poisons, after several battles with demons, he realized that the universe was far too vast for him to comprehend. While his body could be immune to various poisons in this world, it might not be immune to certain special poisons in the universe.
He took out the Tai'a sword, channeled his sword energy, and slashed down. This time, the Scorpion King's armor was no longer effective, and its tail was cut off.
Even though the other party was dead, Zuan still felt a chill run down his spine when he saw that pitch-black tail hook.
He carefully placed it into the glass pearl.
He then brandished the Tai'a sword and peeled off the Scorpion King's armor by following the texture and gaps on its joints. The armor seemed to have good defensive capabilities and could be used to forge a suit of armor in the future.
And those two large pincers, although not as precious as the tail hook, should still be excellent materials for forging weapons.
He collected all of these items one by one. Looking at the remaining flesh and blood of the Scorpion King, he thought for a moment that these things might be useful materials for refining weapons or for a Valkyrie's breakthrough in the future, so it would be a waste to throw them away.
After hesitating for a moment, he still collected the flesh and blood.
Seeing this, the Snow Woman looked disgusted and said, "You said you weren't going to eat it."
This Scorpion King was a powerful opponent who had fought a great battle with me before, but after being killed by it, not a single part of its body was wasted. That feeling was really strange.
Zu An smiled, offered no explanation, and simply stretched out his hand in front of her:
"Now you should give me the Soul-Hooking Jade."
The Snow Woman hesitated for a moment, but in the end she took out the Soul-Hooking Jade from between her twin peaks and handed it to him.
Taking the Soul-Hooking Jade, feeling its unusually cold texture, Zu An subconsciously glanced at her chest.
The snow woman stared at him coldly.
Zuan coughed lightly: "It's been a pleasure working with you. Until we meet again."
He cupped his hands in greeting and was about to leave when the Snow Maiden called out to him, "Could you do me another favor? The Snow Mountain told me that there are two other guys refining several other snow peaks. If they succeed, the Great Snow Mountain will undergo unpredictable changes."
Zuan remained silent for a while, seemingly deep in thought.
The snow woman stared at him silently, her expression somewhat dazed. Was this what humans called tension...?
"Didn't you say before that you wouldn't die as long as the Great Snow Mountain was there?" Zu'an asked.
The snow woman hummed in agreement.
