Chapter 627 Switching Between Mature Woman and Loli

Yun Jianyue snorted: "Do you think I'm such a big-breasted, brainless person?"

Zu An looked at her strangely and couldn't help but glance at her bulging chest. He thought to himself that she might not be brainless, but her big breasts were definitely real.

"What are you looking at?" Yun Jianyue suddenly laughed, but anyone could feel the coldness in her smile.

"I didn't see anything," Zu'an laughed and hurriedly took out the Five Elements Secret Herb. "This will help you heal your injuries quickly."

I've already hugged and touched you, it would be a bit unfair not to give in now.

Yun Jianyue frowned, but ultimately did not refuse. She took the jade box, but did not open it immediately. Instead, she said, "That Cheng Xiong seems to be very hostile towards you. You should be careful. He probably won't let this go so easily."

"Sigh, I don't know where I offended him." Zu'an also complained about his bad luck. Being watched by such a shrewd guy in the dark always felt like a thorn in his side.

"Instead of waiting to die, we should strike first and find an opportunity to finish him off once and for all," Yun Jianyue said coldly.

Zu An was dumbfounded. In that instant, he realized that the woman in front of him, as beautiful as the bright moon in the sky, was not a kind person, but the fearsome leader of the Demonic Sect.

After giving her instructions, Yun Jianyue stopped worrying about Cheng Xiong: "You protect me while I heal my injuries."

He then sat cross-legged on the bed, opened the jade box and placed it between his legs, revealing the Five Elements Secret Mushroom inside.

Zu An felt a surge of abundant spiritual energy coming towards him from afar, and his expression immediately cleared. He hurriedly stood on tiptoe to look, and saw a lingzhi-like medicinal herb lying in the jade box, with visible mist flowing around it, clearly an extraordinary item.

Yun Jianyue did not swallow it, but instead sat down to meditate and practice her skills. Before long, a wisp of misty energy floating on the surface of the Five Elements Secret Mushroom slowly rose and entered her body through her nose, giving her a faint blush on her pale face.

Zuan blinked in disbelief. The way she exhaled smoke was just like that of a celestial being. Even healing her wounds was done with such elegance. When would he ever reach that level?

About half an hour later, Yun Jianyue opened her eyes and casually closed the jade box.

Zuan, who had been idly standing by, was taken aback: "You healed so quickly?"

For some reason, he felt a little reluctant to see the other person recover so quickly.

Yun Jianyue shook her head: "It's not that easy. The injury to the soul needs to be healed slowly. It can't be rushed. Half an hour a day to help repair the soul with the Five Elements Secret Mushroom is the limit. Any more time would be a waste."

Zuan was immediately in a good mood: "Haha, then you can practice slowly. Anyway, you can stay here as long as you want. By the way, make way, I'm going to sleep."

I've been holding back some feelings, so I'm taking this opportunity to say them. For a long time, online novels have been discriminated against by mainstream society, and harem novels are at the very bottom of the hierarchy of online novels. Coupled with the cleanup campaign, the survival environment for this type of novel is even more difficult.

However, there are some people in the world who dislike novels that, while ostensibly about hard work and passion, are actually filled with selfishness, scheming, and ruthlessness. Murder and looting are commonplace; families are wiped out at the slightest provocation, and entire clans and nations are easily destroyed. The protagonist's hands are stained with the blood of millions… Personally, I don't really like novels filled with so much violence. Those who have read my previous novel know that the protagonist, after transmigrating, adhered to the principles of a modern person, seemingly never killing anyone in millions of words. Later, due to plot developments, he was forced to kill, but his main goal was to quickly quell the chaos and allow the people to live in peace. Actually, this kind of adherence is laughable. The mainstream readers of online novels prefer protagonists who are decisive and ruthless. My character, Xiao Song, in my previous book was frequently criticized by readers for being indecisive.

As I mentioned before, I don't like reading novels with repetitive levels, monster-slaying, and villain-slapping scenarios, nor am I good at writing them. I just want to seriously depict stories about the inner world. Because I personally enjoy reading history books, I subconsciously incorporate some historical backgrounds into my novels. The background of my previous book mainly blended the history of the Song, Liao, Jin, Yuan, and Qing dynasties. Some readers have noticed that this book uses the Western Jin dynasty as its background.

Because I primarily base my plot on historical events, my writing speed is slower. Furthermore, harem novels inevitably include many slice-of-life scenes, so the pacing can't match that of many popular books on the market—I have to admit that. I've been trying to find the perfect balance between the two, but I can only say there's still a long way to go. I hope to improve in this area in the future.

Let's talk about the issue of harem novels. Many people often confuse harem novels with erotic novels. In fact, the internet cleanup campaign mainly targets the latter.

Harem novels simply have more female protagonists; that doesn't mean they're obscene or vulgar!

Why is liking harem novels considered a sin? Isn't it human nature for a gentleman to be attracted to a beautiful woman? Based on my observations over the years, many of my friends and acquaintances who have many close female friends in real life are completely uninterested in harem novels because they already live harem-like lives in reality. On the contrary, it's often the introverted and naive people in real life who read harem novels more often. This is because people in real life adhere to their principles, responsibilities, and morals; shouldn't they be allowed to let loose a little in novels?

I must say that the previous book was my first time writing, and I sometimes inadvertently let myself go, which I must apologize for. Therefore, I have been very careful about this aspect in this book. It is a harem, but the scale must be controlled. As you may have noticed, there are no specific descriptions of male-female sexual intercourse in this book; they are all mentioned in passing.

So, readers who enjoy harem novels don't need to feel inferior. I don't feel ashamed of writing harem novels. As long as everyone abides by the law in real life and appropriately vents some negative emotions through reading novels, they might actually be able to face life more positively and optimistically.

In the current climate, harem novels are already struggling to survive. Readers who enjoy this genre should unite and not underestimate themselves, otherwise things will only get worse.

Finally, I shamelessly hope that one day when people mention harem novels, they will remember my name, which would be very gratifying, haha.
