The woman in white glanced at him, her eyes, as deep and captivating as the starry sky, were utterly calm: "No comment."
Zuan: "..."
Although rationally I know that given the other person's personality and the fact that we're not that close, this answer is perfectly reasonable.
But being treated like a stranger by a woman who looked remarkably like Yan Xuehen still left him with a strange sense of unease.
After answering, the woman in white turned her head and looked at the starry sky outside the window, lost in thought.
The atmosphere in the room was inexplicably awkward, and Zu An felt embarrassed to stay any longer, so he said goodbye and left the room.
The woman in white didn't say another word from beginning to end; clearly, none of this interested her.
As Zuan returned to his room somewhat dejectedly, a striking red figure leaned against the corridor wall, staring at him with a half-smile: "You got the cold shoulder at their place?"
Zuan snorted: "At least I got in."
"The results came out so quickly, it seems you didn't satisfy the girl," Fireworks teased.
Zuan: "..."
It feels like this young girl is driving, but there's no proof.
"What do you want?" Zu An opened the door and went inside.
"Can't I come to see you if there's nothing wrong?" Fireworks naturally followed her in with her hands behind her back, and upon hearing this, she couldn't help but pout, quite dissatisfied. "You really are the type to forget the old for the new. Before, you were calling me 'good little sister' all the time, but now all that's left is your stiff self."
Zuan was speechless: "When did I ever call you 'good sister'?"
“If I call you big brother, then am I not your good little sister?” Fireworks said matter-of-factly.
Zuan: "..."
"Alright, alright, I won't tease you anymore," Fireworks ran up behind him and pressed him down on the stool, then gently squeezed his shoulders with her small hands. "You've been in that girl in white's room for so long, have you found out anything?"
"What, you're interested in her too?" Zuan couldn't help but close his eyes comfortably. He had to admit that although he knew this woman probably had ulterior motives, she really did seem like a kind and understanding younger sister, making it hard to refuse her.
“Of course, she’s so beautiful, she’s naturally suited to worship our great goddess of love and beauty.” Fireworks’ eyes sparkled with admiration, as if he were imagining the immense merit of pulling her into the goddess’s embrace.
“Then you’re probably going to be disappointed. Tingxue is a follower of Chaos.” Zuan sighed.
"Oh, you even found out her name. Big brother, you're quite charming," Fireworks whistled, then sighed. "As expected, her indifferent attitude and the strong sense of chaos about her are really a pity. I didn't meet her before she joined Chaos."
Zuan paused for a moment: "Once you enter the Chaos Realm, is it impossible to switch to another path?"
According to the intelligence he has gathered over this period, believers of other true gods have the opportunity to switch their faith to other true gods after paying a certain price.
Fireworks shook his head: "There's no way. Once you enter chaos, you can only gradually lose all emotions, forget everything, and eventually return to the embrace of chaos."
Zuan: "..."
Seeing Tingxue like this, it was as if he were witnessing Yan Xuehen's future, and he couldn't help but feel a pang of pain in his heart.
"By the way, do you know what she went to the Dreamland for?" Fireworks asked.
Zuan shook his head: "I don't know."
Thinking about Tingxue's cold tone just now, I'm still feeling a bit depressed.
Fireworks couldn't help but laugh: "Hehe, it seems she's not that into you. We're the ones who've been through thick and thin together."
"Really? I didn't know your purpose in going to the Dreamland."
"Then tell me your purpose first, and I'll tell you mine."
Zaun didn't mind: "I've heard that the Dreamland can grant all of a person's wishes. I want to go there to find some special materials and some ways to save ourselves."
"You must be trying to save women, and it doesn't look like you're trying to save just one woman," Fireworks muttered. "I didn't realize you looked so honest, but you're actually a womanizer."
Zuan: "..."
"I've already told you, so what's your purpose?"
Fireworks then replied, "Of course it's for fun!"
Noticing the other person's gaze, she felt a little embarrassed: "Oh dear, I know you don't believe me, but okay, I'll tell you. I actually went there to investigate the secrets of the Dreamland."
"What secret?" Zu An's heart stirred.
"What do you think can satisfy all of a person's desires?" Fireworks countered.
"True God?"
Even the true god cannot do it.
Zuan secretly remembered this point; it seemed that even the power of a true god had its limitations.
"So the idea that Dreamland can grant people's wishes is a lie?" Although Zaun had some doubts before, he was still somewhat disappointed to hear this. He had so many questions that he needed to answer there.
“It’s not necessarily fake, because the Dreamland opens once every thousand years, yet no one has ever accused them of faking it,” Fireworks said in a deep voice. “That’s the most incredible thing. Plus, none of the people who went in last time came out. Everyone is curious about what happened back then. I’m afraid I’m not the only one going to the Dreamland this time who wants to find out what really happened.”
"If the Land of Dreams really did something that angered both heaven and man back then, how dare they invite people from all the heavens and myriad realms again?" Zuan asked curiously.
"Maybe they're fearless, or maybe they have some reason to do this, so we'll find out when we get there," Fireworks cautioned. "Once we get to the Dreamland, don't believe a word anyone says there."
