Chapter 3 Your Mom Doesn't Want You Anymore

Monday morning at nine o'clock.

A gleaming black Maybach was parked in front of the New Star Broadcasting Building.

Zhang Lin, head of NNT's advertising department, had been waiting downstairs for a long time. After the car stopped, she respectfully opened the car door.

Si Jiuyin wore a black cashmere coat, and her elegant and noble face made the gold diamond earrings on her ears not only not ostentatious, but also added to her noble air.

Good morning, Mr. Si.

When Zhang Lin met Si Jiuyin, her eyes were filled with respect and admiration.

This is a big shot in the business world!

Ms. Si and her husband Jin Che built their company from scratch and made it a listed company. Both of them are good-looking and capable.

Jin Che deeply loves his wife, and the company and their children are named after Si Jiuyin.

"Good morning."

Si Jiuyin nodded slightly, revealing an elegant smile.

A look of amazement flashed in Zhang Lin's eyes.

Time has not diminished Si Jiuyin's beauty; on the contrary, with age and experience, she has become even more stunning.

It's just that my adopted daughter, He Qinqin, is such a handful.

It is said that a close friend entrusted He Qinqin to him, and President Si cares for He Qinqin even more than his own son.

He bought two large apartments near the TV station, and arranged blind dates with only high-quality, rich, and handsome men. If he wasn't satisfied, he would simply change partners.

As Zhang Lin led Si Jiuyin into the building, she secretly marveled at He Qinqin's good fortune.

"Mr. Si, please come to our VIP reception room."

The VIP reception room for the advertising department is on the 16th floor, as is the press office area.

As soon as Si Jiuyin stepped out of the elevator, she spotted He Qinqin at her workstation.

The media professionals at other workstations were either on the phone or typing away at their keyboards, extremely busy.

He Qinqin was holding her phone, and judging from her shameless, innocent smile, Si Jiuyin guessed that she was definitely texting Shi Yao right now.

Si Jiuyin pursed her red lips, thinking it was a waste to let He Qinqin occupy a formal reporter position that elites dreamed of.

Seeing Si Jiuyin sighing, Zhang Lin assumed she was worried about He Qinqin being tired, and quickly said, "Don't worry, every official reporter will bring an intern reporter with them."

“I arranged for He Qinqin to be paired with the most capable person, named Li Han, an undergraduate we recruited exceptionally, with an outstanding resume.”

"I heard he knew Miss Xu before."

Si Jiuyin froze on the spot when she heard the name "Li Han".

Li Han and He Qinqin grew up in the same orphanage.

In the terrible original storyline, the only thing that touched people was Li Han, the orphan girl whom the original owner had been sponsoring to go to school.

When the original company was embroiled in scandal and went bankrupt, Li Han was just a newly promoted financial reporter.

She believed in the original owner's character and went to great lengths to investigate the truth, even using all the startup capital she had saved to pay for the original owner's surgery.

A drop of water in need is repaid with a spring of water.

Compared to the ungrateful He Qinqin, it's just too heartbreaking.

"President Si, Li Han has arrived! Is there anything you would like to say to her?"

Zhang Lin interrupted Si Jiuyin's recollection. Si Jiuyin looked up and a girl with a high ponytail came into view.

It was Li Han.

She walked towards He Qinqin with a stack of A4 papers in her hand.

Although Li Han's attire wasn't as glamorous as He Qinqin's, her confident and poised demeanor suggested she was a capable and trustworthy work ethicist.

He's more like a professional journalist than He Qinqin.

Li Han replied in a calm and composed tone: "Teacher Xu, I have prepared the interview transcript you requested. Please take a look and see if there are any areas that need revision."

Disturbed by Li Han, He Qinqin impatiently pointed to the table and said, "Just leave it there."

Li Han: "Aren't you going to take a look now? This interview transcript needs to be submitted to—"

"Are you teaching me how to do things?" He Qinqin rolled her eyes.

"You can handle this little thing yourself, otherwise what am I supposed to do with you as an intern?"

Faced with He Qinqin's attitude, the girl remained calm and said, "I understand, Teacher Xu."

She placed the interview transcript on He Qinqin's desk, and when she looked up, she saw Si Jiuyin.

"President Si!"

Upon seeing her benefactor and idol, Li Han exclaimed with delight.

He Qinqin glanced at Li Han and said irritably, "My mom came to see me, why are you so agitated?"

When everyone heard that business tycoon Si Jiuyin had arrived, they all looked towards He Qinqin.

People were whispering among themselves.

"Wow, Mr. Si looks so young! His aura is amazing."

"She's beautiful and rich, and it's another day I want to be CEO Si's daughter."

"I'm so envious of He Qinqin. Did she save the galaxy in her past life?"

He Qinqin enjoyed the envious looks from everyone, and her resentment towards Si Jiuyin lessened considerably.

She stood up and walked up to Si Jiuyin: "Mom, what brings you to the station?"

He Qinqin touched her left cheek. "My face still hurts a little." Her expression was pitiful and aggrieved, hoping that Si Jiuyin would feel sorry for her.

Subconsciously, I wanted to show off my awesome mom in front of everyone.

He Qinqin wondered if her mother was apologizing for slapping her that day and trying to coax her back to live with her.

Yes, they've definitely come to beg me to go home.

He Qinqin has just started living with Shi Yao and is living a happy life.

She immediately thought of how to refuse Si Jiuyin's request to go back, but Si Jiuyin walked straight past He Qinqin and affectionately took Li Han's hand.

He Qinqin's aggrieved and pitiful expression froze on her face, and a look of astonishment flashed in her eyes.

Si Jiuyin asked with concern, "Xiao Han, you got into NNT, why didn't you share this good news with me?"

For more than a decade, Li Han would write letters to the original owner during holidays to greet her, share good news, send her report cards and medals, and tell her that she was studying hard.
