Seeing that Zhang'er's pouting lips wouldn't go away, he walked to Yue Jiang's side, took a piece of candy, unwrapped it, and stuffed it into Zhang'er's mouth, smiling helplessly.
"Good boy, your father won't be mean to you."
Zhang'er hummed in agreement and ate another candy with satisfaction.
He was already sleepy when he arrived, so the two of them each gave him a piece of candy to coax him, carried him to bed, and told him some stories before he fell asleep.
