Upon hearing the threatening words, Jing Yan's men all reached for their weapons, covering their sides with their hands.
Jing Yan, who was about to reach flat ground, stopped in his tracks. However, he did not turn around. He first observed Yue Jiang's expression and saw that her shoulders trembled slightly, as if she was frightened. He then gently comforted her in a low voice.

The gold hairpin twirled nimbly between her fingers, then leaped upwards with unexpected speed.
The sharp tip of the hairpin grazed the corner of Chu Lu's mouth, piercing a slanted wound that twisted and turned his mouth, causing him to turn his head and cover his mouth in pain, groaning in pain.
Finally, with a thud, the golden hairpin embedded itself into the roof panel behind it.
Hearing the satisfied voice, Jing Yan slowly turned his head: "Sorry, I'm too protective."
