Chapter 4: Jing Yan's ramblings are truly exceptional.

Yue Jiang didn't expect that Jing Yan would notice even her slightest surprise, causing him to doubt her.

This also shows that Jing Yan's easy acceptance of her as his husband was not due to being blinded by her beauty, but rather a calculated move.

Yue Jiang didn't intend to deny it outright; instead, she fluttered her long eyelashes and faced Jing Yan directly.

“If my husband asks this, I dare not lie. The teeth marks are small and should belong to a woman.”

"A woman who can make her husband so defenseless as to bite her right in the tiger's mouth must be a woman he likes very much."

"I am new here and only rely on my husband. I also like the person you like. I hope that you can introduce this lady to me in the future!"

After speaking, Yue Jiang's eyes were filled with tenderness. She used Jing Yan's hands, which he had only half-untied for her, to lift Jing Yan's right hand and gently blew on the teeth marks between his thumb and forefinger.

Her voice was bright and natural: "This sister is really something, how could she bite her husband so hard? But it also shows that her husband is a gentle person, otherwise she wouldn't dare."

"I like gentle people the most, so I will blow on it for my husband more often," Yue Jiang continued, bending down to blow gently.

Jingyan did not completely believe that Yuejiang had lost her memory, thinking that Yuejiang had given herself away.

To his surprise, the other party was very observant and noticed that the teeth marks on his tiger's mouth came from a woman. She then proceeded to ramble on about how gentle and magnanimous she was, which surprised Jing Yan.

The other person's palm was soft and comfortable, and their breath sprayed onto the web of his hand, moist as if it were actually entering the wound, soothing the minor injury that he didn't need to care about at all.

Jing Yan didn't have a woman he particularly liked. At the time, he was trying to control his horse and thought that a weak woman couldn't cause any trouble or hurt him, so he didn't take any precautions.

Who would have thought she would bite her own hand? If Ruoyue Jiang hadn't lost her memory, wouldn't she know who bit her with those teeth marks?

Right now, the other party is treating this tooth mark as an injury inflicted by his concubine, whom he has no connection with, and is even asking him to make an introduction in the future. Where is Jing Yan going to find such a person?

"Alright, this is just a minor injury, no need to be so meticulous," Jing Yan said, withdrawing his hand and continuing to untie the remaining half of the rope from Yue Jiang's wrist.

Only after the ropes were untied and thrown to the ground did Jing Yan notice that Yue Jiang's wrists were covered in red marks, some of which had been worn away, revealing patches of external injuries.

After knocking her unconscious, he noticed she would be too restless when she woke up, so to prevent her from causing trouble, he used the force of a tethering cattle or sheep when he tied her up.

It's no wonder that the princess of the Moon Kingdom kept crying out in pain, given how easily she could endure physical suffering.

If she found out who tied her up, she would never admit that she was a gentle person!

Jing Yan asked calmly, "Do you know how you ended up tied up in my military camp?"

"I'm afraid, I don't remember much," Yue Jiang shook her head in confusion.

Jing Yan smiled faintly, raised his fingers and gently wiped away the tears on Yue Jiang's face, intending to offer some comfort.

The moment Jing Yan touched Yue Jiang's delicate face, it felt like holding a piece of tender tofu. The intertwining of their hands made Jing Yan realize for the first time the roughness of his own palms.

His hands were rough, like rocks tempered by wind and rain, the result of years of arduous training in the military camp for the sake of national vengeance.

The woman before him had snow-white skin, like a tender bud about to bloom in spring, each layer revealing her delicate beauty.

How did she raise it?

Just as Jing Yan was about to lower his hand, the other person instinctively took his hand and pressed his palm, which had just been half an inch away from her face, back together perfectly.

In contrast, Yue Jiang didn't take her actions to heart at all, treating them as a very ordinary intimate gesture, and the next moment she looked quite interested.

"My lord, is this what you want to say to me? I'll listen attentively."

The other person's words were sincere and gentle, leaving Jing Yan momentarily speechless.

He carefully examined the woman in front of him. Although she had been jostled and broken after the attack, almost all of her hairpins had fallen off.

Without the embellishment of ornate ornaments, her waist-length black hair, as black as lacquer and with a gleaming sheen, only added to her air of a fallen beauty.

Her appearance wasn't conventionally beautiful, nor was it overly alluring; rather, it was like a lustrous jade, pure yet magnificent, with even the bloodstains on her forehead unable to obscure her beauty in the slightest.

Such stunning beauty truly lives up to the reputation of the Moon Kingdom for producing beauties.

Jing Yan didn't know if all women from the Yue Kingdom were this beautiful, but judging from the dowry given to the woman in front of him by the Yue Kingdom, he could imagine the secret friendship between the two kingdoms.

“Jing and An are sworn enemies. You left your country to marry me in Jing. I was worried that An might cause trouble, so I came out to welcome you ahead of time.”

“I didn’t expect to actually run into Anguo’s attempt to abduct you on the way. I led my men to rescue you. This wound was inflicted when Anguo came to abduct you.”

“After all, you were held captive by Anguo for half a day. I was afraid that Anguo would switch you with someone else, which is why I questioned you in detail.”

"Now that I know you are the princess of the Moon Kingdom, I am naturally your husband!"

Jing Yan explained the matter in a few words, then his gaze finally fell on Yue Jiang's face, carefully observing her thoughts.

As for Yue Jiang's thoughts, she could only praise Jing Yan, saying that not only was he good at fighting, but he was also an expert at making up stories.

He easily portrayed himself as a good person, and even shifted the blame for Yue Jiang's suffering onto An Guo, thus putting An Guo in a bad light.

No, it was Anguo's immorality that implicated her!

What else can she do? She can only cling to Jingguo's ship now.

Jing Yan calmly painted a rosy picture, and Yue Jiang, following Jing Yan's lead, made a very bold reaction.

She nervously raised her arms to encircle Jing Yan's waist, burying her head in his waist and abdomen as she anxiously explained.

"My lord, you must believe me. I am absolutely true and will never betray you. It's all because Anguo doesn't follow the rules. I hate them to death."

Princess Yue's reactions were always unexpected by Jing Yan. She pounced on him in an instant, but as long as she didn't deviate from the general direction, it was fine.

Moreover, the Yue Kingdom princess was right in her last sentence; hating An Kingdom was the right thing to do.

Jing Yan agreed: "That's right, I also hate Anguo!"

Yue Jiang: You flattered the right person!

As she spoke, Yue Jiang smelled a strong medicinal scent. She lowered her eyes slightly and saw that Jing Yan's half-undone inner garment had a bandage wrapped around his abdomen.

You're injured!

"My lord, was this injury sustained while saving me? If so, I deserve to die!"

"It's an old wound, nothing serious," Jing Yan said dismissively. He had personally killed the traitors during the attack on the Feng clan, and the wound was "proof" of cutting off their heads.

Judging from the time, it was getting late. Jing Yan needed to leave the camp to give some instructions, so he pushed Yue Jiang aside and picked up his outer garment to put it on.

"You've been frightened today, so rest well. I have some matters to discuss with my subordinates, so I'm going out for a bit!"

Yue Jiang probably had to go over her subordinates' "confessions" again!

She obediently nodded: "I will wait for my husband!"

The other party agreed readily; she was indeed a woman who made things easy for him, Jing Yan thought.

As he approached the tent entrance, Jing Yan realized that he still didn't know the name of the Yue Kingdom princess.

The princess of the Moon Kingdom has lost her memory and probably doesn't know his name.

He added specifically, "By the way, my name is Jing Yan!"

After saying that, Jing Yan left without further ado.

Yue Jiang thought to herself: If I didn't know you were Jing Yan, I wouldn't be so worried about my life!
