Chapter 9 Jing Yan should not underestimate Yue Jiang.

"Your Highness, I was deeply moved by your words just now. I find the things that the Feng family did back then utterly shameful."

"I cannot bear to put you in a difficult position. I know you dislike the Feng family. I imagine you would find it hard to accept this princess, who is a celestial being descended to earth."

"I know my strength is limited, but I am willing to give all my dowry to alleviate the suffering of the Jing Kingdom."

Yue Jiang's dowry not only included a lot of money, but also weapons and people, enough to establish a small county. However, she had "amnesia" and could not go into details, so she could only express her feelings in general.

Jing Yan kidnapped her, intending to seize her dowry. He has plenty of ways to do this; he certainly wouldn't have chosen this opportunity to ask for her money.

Rather, it is because this Princess Feng keeps saying that she is willing to sacrifice herself for the women and children of the Feng family that Jing Yan, who has been brainwashed, is so infatuated with her that he would never want her dead. He has already developed a delusion that he has contracted the "illness".

Even though Princess Feng now knows that Jing Yan doesn't love her at all, she is already unable to resist. She probably hopes that Jing Yan will take her in, but she just doesn't want to be direct about it.

Yue Jiang refused again on Jing Yan's behalf. Even if Princess Feng believed that Jing Yan was attacking Feng Kingdom in order to get her, it was not surprising that he revealed the location of the silver in his haste.

As for the man outside, Yue Jiang had not yet completed her wedding ceremony with Jing Yan. He didn't even dare to call her "Princess of Yue Kingdom" in front of Princess Feng. Calling her "Crown Princess" wouldn't endanger his life.

But how could that person outside know that Yue Jiang was a smart person? What if she didn't understand the implication and pretended to be magnanimous, nodding in agreement?

As expected, Princess Feng could not tolerate Yue Jiangyi's sabotage. She faced the screen and retorted with disdain and arrogance.

"Where did you come from? Do you know the wealth accumulated by the Feng family? A full eight million taels of silver are hidden in a cave in Lushan Mountain. How can the dowry of an unknown person like you compare?"

Jing Yan's gloomy expression vanished instantly, his face brightened, and he immediately raised his voice: "Have Wei You go to Lushan to find money right away."

Princess Feng was stunned and realized that the three people inside and outside the room were tricking her and deliberately made her let the cat out of the bag.

She lost even her last support; Jing Yan was ruthless towards her, and she could only accept her fate of going to Jishan to mine.

Princess Feng dared not even think about such a miserable life. Instantly, she became flustered and filled with resentment. She glared fiercely at the screen behind her, furious.

"It's all your fault, you woman! You lied to me!"

As she spoke, Princess Feng rushed forward.

Yue Jiang: Is she being unreasonable? There are three people here, is she the only one lying?

Even while she was trapped in the bucket, she could imagine how the other person would come over and drown her.

Just as Yue Jiang was about to stand up while holding onto the wooden tub, the horse-shaped screen was pushed by Princess Feng and was about to tip over.

Suddenly, Jing Yanfei threw a book at her, and Princess Feng's hand was struck hard by the book. She cried out in pain as she clutched the book.

The swaying screen was caught in time by Jing Yan, who rushed over, and was quickly and tightly closed again.

Yue Jiang finally felt relieved and leaned back into the water, calming her nerves.

When Princess Feng, who was outside the screen, saw Jing Yan standing in front of her, she disregarded the bruises on the back of her hand and knelt down to beg.

"Your Highness, Your Highness, I beg you, please don't send me to mine. Can you give me that money as a token of my loyalty? I'll be your slave or servant, I just don't want to go mining."

Jing Yan sneered: "If you keep saying you care about the women and children of your Feng family, I might think more highly of you. But to treat that money as your means of survival, you are just as disgusting as your Feng family."

"In my opinion, the truly pitiful people are those who were forced to betray Jing with your Feng clan. They were so innocent, yet they had to rely on An with your Feng clan's traitorous ministers."

The people of Fengzhou were once citizens of the Jing Kingdom, but after the Feng clan surrendered to the An Kingdom, these people of Fengzhou became slaves at the beck and call of the An Kingdom.

Jing Yan was able to successfully defeat the Feng clan this time because these people had long been tired of being forced into labor in Anguo and were attached to their old homeland, so they first rebelled against the Feng clan from within the city.

"Guards, drag Princess Feng away. Tomorrow, send all of Feng's people to the mines as slaves."

Princess Feng realized that she could not escape her fate of mining, and that even her claim that she was the woman Jing Yan loved but could not have was a lie.

Even when she was being dragged along, she couldn't stop her from breaking down in tears.

Suddenly, Princess Feng still wanted to prove her point, and stubbornly continued to question him.

"I saw it, I saw it! The woman inside is even more beautiful than me. It's not that you never loved me, it's that you met someone more beautiful, right?"

Jing Yan didn't want to pay any more attention to this Princess Feng, but she was still so persistent in her feelings.

So every word was like the sharpest knife, stabbing at her, giving her one last chance to regain her senses.

"She is more beautiful than you, but that's definitely not the reason why I've always thought you were stupid."

"Someone like you is so stupid that he's hateful; how could anyone like him?"

In the blink of an eye, upon hearing these words, the light in Princess Feng's eyes gradually faded, and she gave up struggling as she was gagged and dragged away.

Silence returned to the tent. Jing Yan concealed his slight anger and turned his head slightly to ask, "Were you alright just now?"

There were originally only three people in the tent, but now that Princess Feng has been dragged away, the only one being questioned is Yue Jiang.

"I'm fine," Yue Jiang sighed without trying to hide her feelings, her voice weak and shy. "I was just suddenly startled, and my legs cramped up. The water was also cold, so I couldn't get out of the tub. I'm feeling cold all over!"

That's true. After all that fuss, Princess Fengguo's bathwater had long since cooled down.

But Yue Jiang's leg didn't cramp, and she still wanted to tease the Jing Kingdom's crown prince, who was unmoved by beauty.

Jing Yan underestimated this seemingly weak Yue Kingdom princess. He only realized Rong Ying's plan halfway through his conversation.

Yue Jiang was able to cooperate seamlessly with the two of them in the end, making the Feng clan princess, whose mind was only focused on love, reveal the location of the money.
