Chapter 38 Afterwards: Your place or mine tonight?
It's so hot.
Cheng Yi must always maintain the upper hand and forcefully interrogate her through his actions.
Yu Wu felt as if a thousand suppressed and restrained feelings of love were stuck in the floodgates, unable to be released. She obediently said, "I was wrong."
"I'll never do it again."
"real."
They were joined together in the most intimate way, but Cheng Yi's face was expressionless. His gaze, like cold needles, was fixed on her with a probing look, as if he was suppressing something, or as if he was judging every expression on her face.
"Really, Chengyi. I'll never do it again." Yuwu was in great distress at this moment, pleading with him desperately.
But he was incredibly patient; his scrutiny and taciturnity were like slow torture for Yuwu, lashing at her dying heart.
Yu Wu extended her fingertip and gently touched his Adam's apple. Her pupils were moist, and she sniffed pitifully, her voice unconsciously carrying an affectionate and coquettish tone: "...Cheng Yi."
With a loud bang.
All the repression and forbearance could no longer be contained.
Reason vanished, and he suddenly grabbed Yuwu's neck and kissed her deeply.
After a few rounds, Yu Wu, lacking oxygen, put her arm around her chest, trying to push him away.
Her struggles were all forcefully crushed, and she surrendered in no time.
But it's not over yet, it's far from even beginning.
Once you take off human skin, it's hard to put it back on.
*
Yu Wu slept very soundly and didn't wake up until noon.
Even when I was half asleep last night, I could feel his strong presence with the slightest movement.
Cheng Yi came again around 6 a.m., and she was completely numb.
Noticing the unfamiliar male room around her, Yu Wu threw herself back onto the bed, her nostrils filled with his alluring, cool fragrance.
Just as I was lost in thought, I heard a clear click as the door opened.
Yu Wu stared wide-eyed in the blanket, too afraid to move.
Then she heard soft but resounding footsteps stop in front of the bed.
Last night, she acted impulsively and now she doesn't dare to face him. Even through the blanket, she can feel his sharp gaze.
Cheng Yi crossed his arms, recalling the madness of his filthy lust that had filled her body last night. His Adam's apple bobbed as he silently gazed down at her for a long while. Then, without any mercy, he pulled back Yu Wu's blanket and said coldly, "Go wash up, then make me brunch."
Alright, now there's no awkward or romantic atmosphere at all. Yu Wu pulled the blanket over herself, staring at him with wide eyes.
"How can you be like this?"
"What about me?" Cheng Yi asked, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "You want me to cook for you?"
Yu Wu pulled at the blanket and stood up to find her clothes. "No way! I'm leaving right now!"
“Okay.” Cheng Yi pretended to take out his phone. “Then I’ll announce to the world what a good thing we did last night.”
"Cheng Yi!" Yu Wu gritted her teeth and glared at him. "I've never seen such a shameless person before!"
"Shameless?" Cheng Yi chuckled, slowly approaching Yu Wu until she had nowhere to retreat, and shamelessly sneered, "Weren't you satisfied last night?"
Hold.
Yu Wu was completely helpless against him; she couldn't win against him. She turned her head away, gritting her teeth as she forced out a sentence.
"I'll go right away."
Cheng Yi smiled with satisfaction, patted her head, and spoke in a gentle, tender voice.
"Good girl."
......
Yuwu busied herself in the open kitchen, cursing as she chopped vegetables.
So why did I make a stupid choice to pick Chengyi last night?
The guy next to him, Ao Ziye, is pretty good too. He's incredibly handsome, and at least he shouldn't be as shameless as him, right?
No, no, that guy isn't a good person either.
Shu Yueqiao is good. Hmm, Ya Ya and he are quite a good match.
Cheng Yi sat on the sofa like a king, with a cup of Americano on the table. He lazily typed a few words on his laptop while occasionally urging Yu Wu to say something.
This guy was dressed in black loungewear, and his clean-cut face made him appear even more relaxed and aloof.
It's kind of alluring.
Yu Wu withdrew her gaze, her mind once again filled with those surging madnesses.
"Crazy Chengyi, crazy Chengyi." Yu Wu muttered as she cut the pork belly, imagining the pork belly under her hands as Chengyi.
Cheng Yi cast a casual glance at her, and Yu Wu guiltily looked away, instantly intimidated. In that brief moment, the sharp knife accidentally cut her finger, and she let out a cold hiss.
Cheng Yixin walked over, his tall figure swaying, and frowned as he examined the wound, looking disgusted. "How could you be so clumsy?"
Yu Wu tried to pull her hand back. The wound wasn't deep; it was very shallow.
Cheng Yi frowned slightly, glared at Yu Wu with displeasure, and pulled her to sit down on the sofa without saying a word, leaving her with two words: "Wait."
Cheng Yi came over with a first-aid kit, squatted down, lowered his thin eyelids, and carefully bandaged Yu Wu's wound.
Yu Wu stared at him, watching his careful and gentle touch, her heart clenched, and she couldn't speak.
Cheng Yi is such a strange person.
...
Finally, Chengyi went to cook.
Yu Wu watched his busy figure in the kitchen and thought to herself that he could cook too. Even when he cooked, he had a nonchalant and relaxed attitude.
The phone on the desktop rang.
“Your phone,” Yu Wu called out to him.
"Who called?" Cheng Yi asked, his eyes lowered, as he washed the broccoli.
"Shu Yue Bridge".
"You answer it," he said bluntly.
Yu Wu's eyes widened, but seeing Cheng Yi's unmoved expression, she hesitated for a moment before accepting.
"Hello?"
There was a moment of silence before the person on the other end asked, "Is this Cheng Yi's phone?"
Even Shu Yueqiao's voice was so gentle and soothing, and Yu Wu inexplicably thought of his clear and handsome features. He was clearly different from Cheng Yi and Ao Ziye; she wondered how they had become friends.
Yu Wu: "Yes, he asked me to answer it."
Shu Yueqiao drew out a drawn-out "oh" with a smile, and then the phone was snatched into Ao Ziye's hand.
Ao Ziye's voice was very excited: "Tell him that we're coming to eat right away!" After saying that, he hung up the phone.
Yu Wu looked completely bewildered and told Cheng Yi.
Cheng Yi didn't even look up, busy with his own things, and sneered, "You said you'd only get the cold shoulder if you came."
Helpless, Yu Wu became the messenger again, but the other end of the line was switched off.
I told Chengyi, but he didn't say anything, and I don't know if he heard me or not.
Yu Wu admired the interior design of his home. It was truly tasteful, with a cool color scheme of black, white, and gray, spotless, and without any unnecessary furniture. Every piece of furniture was extremely simple and expensive.
With nothing to do, she lay on the sofa and started playing on her phone.
For some inexplicable reason, I opened Xia Tingxue's Weibo again.
It's strange, but ever since high school, Xia Tingxue has been constantly updating her social media with Ke Yanchen, showing their sweet moments together. She even deliberately followed and then unfollowed Yu Wu, repeating this process to forcefully maintain her presence. She would even comment on Yu Wu's Weibo posts, usually just a period, but when Yu Wu actually clicked on it, nothing was there—she had deleted it.
Even after she broke up with Ke Yanchen, she continued to do this.
So when Yu Wu opened Weibo, she found that she had followed her again. Clicking into her profile, she saw that she had posted a picture of food, revealing the long, clean hands of the man across the table.
It was Ke Yanchen.

Yu Wu sighed silently and began browsing her Weibo.
So where exactly did things go wrong? Was it because I showed him my stubborn, retaliatory side?
It has nothing to do with love; it's like a work performance review—you have to carefully trace the source to find out where things went wrong.
*
The doorbell rang, and Yu Wu opened the door. Shu Yueqiao and Ao Ziye appeared in the doorway.
Yu Wu's eyes widened, but before she could speak, Ao Ziye had already squeezed in. Shu Yueqiao gave Yu Wu a gentle, spring-like smile and also stepped in.
Yu Wu was still wearing the clothes from last night, feeling extremely embarrassed. After a little thought, she realized how crazy she and Cheng Yi had been the night before.
Ao Ziye sat casually at the dining table, his tone playful and exaggerated: "Damn, Young Master Cheng is cooking himself, we're really lucky."
Shu Yueqiao also leaned lazily against the opposite side of the table, watching Cheng Yi's busy figure in the kitchen with a playful look in his eyes.
Cheng Yi didn't raise his head, and coldly said, "If you know what's good for you, get lost."
Ao Ziye whistled softly, and Hanxiao and Shu Yueqiao exchanged a glance. "They want us to get lost!"
Cheng Yi ignored him and gave an order to Yu Wu, who was a little further away, "Time to eat."
"Okay." Yu Wu put down her phone and went into the kitchen.
Four dishes and a soup, all delicious and visually appealing, but only two bowls of rice.
Ao Ziye snatched the bowl of rice from in front of Yu Wu and said with a grin, "I don't mind."
Shu Yueqiao took two pairs of chopsticks from the kitchen and handed them to Ao Ziye to sit down.
Cheng Yi gave him a casual glance, and Ao Ziye's heart skipped a beat, his legs went weak, and he composed himself, silently returning the rice to Yu Wu.
Yu Wu, not wanting to get involved in the undercurrents at the table, lowered her eyelashes and stuffed a mouthful of rice into her mouth.
Ao Ziye started acting up again, casually staring at Cheng Yi, "Was last night good?"
Yu Wu's cheeks flushed instantly, and she lowered her head deeply.
A man with low-class and perverse tastes.
Cheng Yi glanced at him with a blank expression, "Better than an old bachelor like you."
Ao Ziye nearly coughed up blood, and complained to Shu Yueqiao, "Look at you, look at you! You're already showing off!"
Shu Yueqiao chuckled softly and chimed in, "Aren't you one?"
Ao Ziye laughed in exasperation and retorted, "Aren't you the same?"
Shu Yueqiao took a bite of food and slowly replied, "A little better than you."
...
Cheng Yi ignored them, and put another chopstick into Yu Wu's bowl, his tone slightly stern, "Don't just eat rice."
"Oh," Yu Wu replied, her head bowed, her toes digging into the ground, eager to leave. To be fair, Cheng Yi's cooking skills were quite excellent.
After finally finishing his meal, Cheng Yi chased away the two annoying people, Ao Ziye and Shu Yueqiao.
"Well then, I'll be going now." Yu Wu forced a smile, then turned and ran.
Her wrist was pulled by a force and she was drawn into a warm embrace.
Yu Wu felt a chill run down her spine, and the sound of her heartbeat gradually became erratic.
It was just the two of them in their own space.
Cheng Yi's brows furrowed, his gaze beneath his thin eyelids possessing a direct, almost predatory quality. He chuckled softly, his pleasant, low-pitched voice drifting down from above.
"Your place or mine tonight?"
Yu Wu stared at him with wide eyes, but after their eyes met for a second, she quickly looked down again.
When I met his eyes, a surge of heat rushed from my internal organs, and my mind was filled with images of raging storms.
Why, why do you want to develop a long-term relationship?
She opened her mouth, but several times she couldn't utter a single word.
"I have to go to the company later. I'll come find you after work." He said without waiting for a reply, his cold, deep eyes fixed on her. He lowered his head and pecked her forehead again before letting her go.
*
Back home, Yu Wu was completely dazed. She threw herself onto the bed and stared blankly at the white ceiling.
Are they coming again tonight?
You're insane.
No, we can't let this continue.
Yu Wu's mind raced, thinking about going to Ya Ya's house to hide for a few days, hoping that the novelty would wear off soon.
Tsk, he lives upstairs from her, he can't escape his fate.
So, Yuwu, why did you do something so stupid last night?!
I regret it.
She buried herself in the blankets and rolled around a few times.
I had a vague premonition that I had fallen into a long-planned trap from which I could not escape.
