Chapter 47 I like you and I don't want to wrong you.
At that time, the whole city was pouring rain, and only a few dim lights were on in the underground parking lot. The air was cool with the smell of damp earth.
Yu Wu gritted her teeth and used her last bit of strength to seize the opportunity to kick Zhou Jin's lower body again.
Having learned his lesson several times before, Zhou Jin was clearly on guard this time and skillfully dodged the attack.
He approached Yuwu step by step, gritting his teeth and uttering harsh words: "What are you pretending to be, this virtuous and chaste woman? You're really shameless!"
He thought of something and laughed again: "Don't worry, after I sleep with you, I'll definitely erect a memorial arch for your chastity. It would be best if the whole world knew about your 'chastity'."
Even in such a disheveled state, Yuwu glared at him defiantly, showing no sign of weakness.
The moment Zhou Jin leaned closer to her, Yu Wu's vision was shrouded in shadow. Before the terrible consequences she expected could occur, her hair was violently yanked from behind, sending her flying six or seven meters with a dull thud.
Yu Wu sniffed and saw Cheng Yi appear here like a savior.
His face was frighteningly dark, his shoulder was covered in water stains, the veins on his arms were bulging, and he was breathing heavily. He looked down at her, deftly took off his suit jacket and wrapped it around Yu Wu, then carried her with one arm and walked towards his car.
"Where does it hurt?" he asked coldly, frowning.
Yu Wu, still trembling with fear, wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, closed her eyes, and her voice trembled uncontrollably, "...I'm afraid of him."
He kissed her ear. "I'm here, he can't do anything."
When they got to his car, Yuwu noticed that there were signs of damage to the front of the car. Before she could ask him, he put Yuwu in the back seat and told her, "Don't look."
Yu Wu lowered her head and hummed in agreement.
After he left, Yu Wu, fearing that something might have happened to Cheng Yi, still peeked out to check the situation.
......
After settling Yu Wu in, Cheng Yi walked towards Zhou Jin, slowly rolling up the sleeves of his white shirt, exuding a powerful aura.
Reaching Zhou Jin's side, he looked down at him, kicked him hard in the head, and asked contemptuously, "Can you do it?"
Zhou Jin had been waiting for him, and taking advantage of the moment, he suddenly flipped over and tried to knock Cheng Yi to the ground.
With overwhelming force, Cheng Yi pinned Zhou Jin to the ground and delivered a powerful punch to his eye. Zhou Jin, clearly a trained fighter, turned his head but couldn't dodge the punch. At the same time, he threw a punch at Cheng Yi's chin, which Cheng Yi also dodged. Cheng Yi then struck again with lightning speed, and after a few punches, Zhou Jin's entire face quickly swelled up.
Zhou Jin glanced in the direction of Yu Wu, panting heavily and still sullen, "Do you know how filthy she is? Is such a vile woman worth your time? Why don't the three of us do it together? I don't mind."
Cheng Yi paused slightly in his punching motion, his eyes fixed silently on Zhou Jin, his back teeth clenched tightly, unleashing a terrifying, destructive force. Another heavy punch followed, sending Zhou Jin's teeth flying.
Zhou Jin passively accepted the punch, and with his right thumb pressed the mechanism on the middle finger ring, a small knife was revealed. He inserted it into Cheng Yi's lower abdomen and then twisted it fiercely.
Almost instantly, a flower of blood bloomed from Cheng Yi's lower abdomen.
Yu Wu exclaimed in surprise, quickly got out of the car, took off her shoes, and tried to hit Zhou Jin on the head.
By this time, Cheng Yi's lower abdomen was covered in blood.
The two men were fighting each other to the death, wrestling wildly until Zhou Jin collapsed to the ground, no longer moving, his breath faint.
Cheng Yi also stopped, relieved of his strength, and looked helplessly at Yu Wu with half-open eyelids.
—He's blaming Yuwu for getting out of the car without permission.
Yu Wu was terrified. She helped Cheng Yi up, her face full of anxiety: "You've lost so much blood..."
Cheng Yi gave a cold smirk and pulled her toward the elevator.
"What about Zhou Jin?" Yu Wu looked back.
"I'll handle it." His voice was calm and even, always giving her a sense of security like a pillar of strength.
Back home, Cheng Yi carried Yu Wu onto the sofa, but Yu Wu struggled to get down, saying, "I'm covered in dust, I'm not clean."
"I'll take care of it later." He turned around and went to the shower room, wrung out a hot towel to wipe Yu Wu's face and hands, carefully checked to make sure there were no major wounds, and then went to the shower room to change his clothes.
Yu Wu followed him over and saw the bloody hole in his lower abdomen, which was now a mangled mess. Her eyes instantly welled up with tears.
Eight bloody holes.
"Let's go to the hospital." She looked up at him, her eyes welling up with tears.
Cheng Yi shook his head in silence and patted her hair. "I have something to do."
Yu Wu realized how much business he had given up to come here today, so she could only disinfect his wound with iodine. Before she could finish, someone knocked on the door. Cheng Yi gestured for her to open it, saying he would do it himself.
Yu Wu opened the door, and Mu Su stood in front of it, soaked to the bone and looking anxious, holding a pile of documents and a milk tea in his hands.
Upon seeing Yuwu, he forced a smile and handed her a milk tea.
"This is what Mr. Cheng instructed me to give you; it's the flavor you usually like."
Yu Wu took the milk tea, her heart filled with complex emotions. The flavor, sweetness, and ice level were all according to her preferences.
"Thank you," she said softly.
Cheng Yi also came out. He put his arm around Yu Wu's shoulder and went into the bedroom. Mu Su then put down the documents on the dining table and began to arrange them.
In the bedroom, Cheng Yi turned on the light, leaned down slightly, and cupped Yu Wu's cheeks, his dark pupils filled with earnestness and sincerity.
"I still have some things to take care of. You should lie in bed for a while. I'll take you to the hospital for a check-up later."
"I'm not injured." Yu Wu pursed her lips. "You go ahead with your work, I won't bother you."
She sniffed, lowered her head, and whispered, "Thank you."
Cheng Yi kissed her forehead, his warm breath brushing against her skin: "Be good, wait for me a moment. I'll be in the living room, just let me know if you need anything."
“Your injury…” Yu Wu tugged at his sleeve.
"I'm fine."
Outside the living room, Mu Su called out "President Cheng" again, and the two still gazed at each other with reluctance.
Yu Wu tiptoed and pecked his lips. "Go quickly."
Cheng Yi gave her one last deep look before turning and going to the living room.
...
bedroom.
Yu Wu held the milk tea, took a sip, and felt a sweet sensation spread through her heart.
She sat for a while, then turned and went to the shower. After taking off her clothes, she looked at her wounds in the mirror. There were minor abrasions on both elbows, which Cheng Yi had already treated.
She bandaged the wound, wrapped it with another towel, and took a shower.
Her hair was damp as she peeked out of the bedroom, and Cheng Yi glanced over.
"Should we order takeout?" Yu Wu mouthed.
Cheng Yi nodded, then quickly switched to English to continue the conversation with the person opposite him.
Yuwu speaks excellent English, but they were talking about technical and professional issues, using a lot of jargon, which Yuwu didn't quite understand.
She went back to her bedroom and ordered takeout. Because Cheng Yi was injured, she ordered something light and mild.
After drying her hair and listening to the pattering rain outside the window, she unknowingly drifted off to sleep.
*
When she woke up again, the room was quiet. She found herself nestled in a warm embrace, soothed by his body heat.
Cheng Yi nuzzled her neck, his voice hoarse: "Awake?"
Yu Wu mumbled an "Mmm" in the sleep, then sat up, rubbed her eyes, and turned on the bedside lamp. "You finished? Did it go smoothly?"
Cheng Yi stared at her for a long while, then lowered his thin eyelids and shook his head slightly.
"Ah?" Yu Wu panicked, unable to utter a complete sentence, "I...I'm sorry...I..."
He curled his lips into a slow smile, his dark pupils filled with a mischievous grin, as if he were playing a prank on someone.
"You lied to me!" Yu Wu angrily punched his shoulder, but then realized he was injured. She bent down to lift his pajamas to check the wound, but he stopped her.
"The doctor has been here; it's an external injury."
Yu Wu made sure the bandage was properly applied before frowning slightly, moving closer to him, straddling his lap, and kissing his forehead. "Thank you."
She repeated to herself: Thank you so much.
Cheng Yi wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed her forcefully into his chest, leaving no gap. Yu Wu tried to get down, but couldn't budge him an inch. "You have an injury in your abdomen!"
Cheng Yi didn't care about any of that; he had always been willful and reckless.
Yuwu could only remain still, afraid of touching his wound.
The two of them intertwined their necks, embracing each other tightly, their burning heartbeats mingling together.
"Is the nightmare related to him?" he asked in a deep voice.
Yu Wu felt a tightness in her chest and grunted, "I even called the police, but it was no use. His family has very strong connections."
Cheng Yi separated her body, grabbed the back of her neck, and scrutinized her, his tone icy: "Why didn't you tell me?"
“I…” Yu Wu was speechless, her gaze darting away, “…You’ve been very busy lately.”
Cheng Yi gave her a warning glance, forcefully pressed her head against his, and kissed her fiercely. His kiss was filled with suppressed anger and showed no mercy.
Yu Wu's lips stung, and she groaned a few times in pain. She punched his shoulder, but could only let him run rampant.
Cheng Yi easily overwhelmed her with destructive power until she was completely disarmed.
After the kiss, Yuwu leaned on his shoulder, panting weakly.
Without allowing any argument, Cheng Yi took her phone from the bedside table, blatantly entered the password, and frantically fiddled with it.
What are you doing?
“Location sharing,” he said casually.
Yu Wu did not refuse.
After Cheng Yi finished, he threw his phone back on the bedside table, and Yu Wu tried to break free from his embrace.
Because this person reacted again.
Cheng Yi held her tightly, glaring at her unhappily, "Didn't you say you wanted a hug?"
"...It's poking me." Yu Wu finished speaking, then pursed her lips uncomfortably, not daring to look at him.
He chuckled softly, his chest trembling, and leaned down to give her a light kiss on the lips. "Never mind him."
"I feel unwell," Yu Wu muttered softly.
She thought about it and realized that Cheng Yi had done so many things for her, so she could try it for him once too.
"How about I help you?" Yu Wu's fingertips reached down, her heart suddenly clenching.
Uncontrollably, her mind drifted back to the suffocating pain of being pinned to a tiny, fiery spot, desperately clinging to life, her pitiful moans pleading for a moment of freedom.
Cheng Yi's Adam's apple bobbed as he suppressed his uncontrollable trembling, his gaze fixed intently on her. "How can I help?"
"Just like you always are."
"Is it to repay a debt of gratitude?" he asked.
Yu Wu nodded.
Cheng Yi pushed her down, rolled over and pinned her down, lowering his eyelids to gaze at her.
Yu Wu didn't understand what he meant, and pursed her lips nervously.
"Don't try to please me."
“I really don’t like it.” His tone was slightly harsher. He hated her subservient, ingratiating manner in front of him; he would rather she be unrestrained and assertive than have her cautiously trying to please him. It felt like a sharp, painful squeeze had been clenched in his heart.
“But you’ve done it for me so many times,” Yu Wu explained weakly.
"I don't want to wrong you." He gazed at her intently.
At that moment, tears welled up in Yu Wu's eyes. She turned her head away, her voice slightly choked: "Don't be so good to me."
If you're too good to me, I'll be in a lot of pain when we part. I'll miss you.
Cheng Yi chuckled softly and gently kissed her eyelids. "Are you hungry?"
Yu Wu nodded.
......
The takeout was cold, so Chengyi heated it up in the microwave, and the two of them ate a little something.
It was already midnight when they finished dinner at the living room dining table. Outside, a fierce storm raged. Yu Wu suggested watching a movie, but Cheng Yi immediately rejected the idea. Yu Wu's suggestion was half-pleading and half-pouting, but Cheng Yi remained silent with a cold face. So the two of them snuggled up on the sofa, wrapped in the same blanket, and watched a midnight movie.
"Doesn't it hurt?" Yuwu looked meaningfully at his bulge again.
Cheng Yi gave her a cold look. "I'll handle this myself later."
Yu Wu nodded, found a romance movie, and the two snuggled up on the sofa, turning off the lights to watch it.
It's the British version of "Pride and Prejudice".
The air outside was chilly, and raindrops pattered against the glass, while inside, a warm and tender atmosphere prevailed. Yu Wu linked arms with Cheng Yi, leaning on his shoulder, feeling comfortable and safe. She couldn't resist pecking his cheek again, earning him a look of disdain.
Yu Wu smiled, her eyes crinkling. She realized that Cheng Yi was actually a pretty good person.
She seems to have a bit of a crush on Cheng Yi.
Only one point.
She only allowed herself to give a little bit.
