Chapter 49 Even Cheng Yi gets shy?

Chapter 49 Even Cheng Yi gets shy?

Cheng Yi pressed against her, burying his forehead in the crook of her shoulder from behind, his breathing gradually becoming heavy, and tentatively pecking at her neck.

Yu Wu, still retaining some rationality, pushed him away and mouthed to him, "No—"

He kissed her neck a second time.

Yu Wu was already distracted and had to concentrate on listening to what Ke Yanchen was saying, so much so that she didn't even notice when Cheng Yi brushed her hair to one side and lifted her skirt.

Until one hit—

Without any preparation, Yu Wu let out a muffled groan, her legs went weak, and she could barely stand.

Cheng Yi pulled her close in his arms, their heavy breathing mingling with each other's. Yu Wu's neck was covered in a thin layer of sweat as she slowly adjusted herself, while Ke Yanchen continued his rambling.

This is the first time I've felt that Ke Yanchen talks a lot of nonsense.

"...She's realized this problem too, so she wants to switch advertising agencies. Now we're discussing whether or not to change the creative team..."

Another heavy blow landed, forcing Yu Wu to grip Cheng Yi's arm tightly to steady herself. Her eyes were filled with tears as she mouthed, "It hurts..."

Ke Yanchen, who hadn't heard Yu Wu's response on the other end of the phone, called out, "Yu Zi?"

Yu Wu bit her lip, trying several times to speak but failing to utter a complete sentence because someone was using brute force. She sniffed and managed to squeeze out a sentence through gritted teeth: "I understand."

A sense of taboo and immorality surged from my spine to my brain, tearing at my mind with a mixture of tension and anticipation.

Ke Yanchen nodded and said, "I'll send you her information, and you can give me a quote."

Yu Wu gritted her teeth and uttered a "Okay," just as she was about to hang up, a voice called out from the other end: "Yu Zi..."

Yu Wu was truly about to cry; her blood was rushing to her head, and she bit her lip hard and managed a soft "hmm."

"Add me back."

The person behind her suddenly went mad, as if she were heading towards destruction.

Yu Wu hung up the phone immediately.

......

Cheng Yi is acting very strangely right now.

He used to be very fierce, but he would always soften when Yu Wu begged him. Now he's so busy that he won't even offer her a kiss to comfort her.

When that moment arrived, Cheng Yi released her and went into the bedroom without looking back.

Yu Wu was anxious and chased after him. She stumbled and almost fell. She sat down on the sofa and adjusted her breathing.

Cheng Yi emerged, his entire figure almost blending into the darkness, yet a chilling aura emanated from him. He held his car keys in his hand.

"Where to?" Yu Wu asked.

Cheng Yi glanced at her listlessly and continued walking forward on his own.

"Chengyi!" Yuwu called out to him, her voice anxious and aggrieved, "You said we couldn't have a cold war!"

Cheng Yi turned his head to look at him. Even in the dim light, he could feel the sharp spikes standing up all over his body. He asked calmly.

Why is he called Ke Ke?

His tone was casual, but Yu Wu's heart suddenly clenched.

"I....."

She was speechless. She slowly walked over to him, hugged his slender waist, and said softly, "It came out unconsciously. I won't do it again."

Cheng Yi remained silent, radiating an overwhelming aura of ferocity. Yu Wu also kept quiet, the two seemingly locked in a contest, neither willing to utter another word of softness, the air thick with oppressive tension.

Yu Wu knew she had reached her limit. She could have said a few more comforting words, but she didn't want to admit that she was willing to spend time comforting him, as that would prove she was sincere. She didn't want to give her heart.

Even though she had already blurred the line between sincerity and pretense.

The air was utterly silent. A sob rose silently in his throat, and Yu Wu slowly loosened her grip on his waist.

Just as she was about to turn around and go back to her bedroom, she was tightly embraced by a warm hug, which enveloped all her disappointment and fear.

After a long pause, Cheng Yi gritted his teeth and spat out a sentence.

"Is that all you're going to say in your explanation?"

The air was filled with the cool scent of cedarwood emanating from him, and his breath was hot, stirring up a wave of scalding warmth.

My heart was filled with bitterness and ache, and I couldn't speak.

He slowly tightened his arms, holding her closer and closer, his voice soft, carrying a humble posture of surrender.

"You can't call him Ke Ke anymore."

"......Um."

"From now on, call me Xiao Yi."

"Xiaoyi?"

Cheng Yi hooked Yu Wu's neck, pried open her lips and teeth, and they intertwined, forcefully conquering her.

After a long while, the two separated, and Yu Wu boldly grasped his hand, her gaze clear yet fixed on him.

"I want you, Xiao Yi."

Cheng Yi chuckled softly, carried her to the bed, pressed his forehead against hers, and kissed her. He said she was naughty, always getting involved with other men. After saying this, he bit her in frustration, and Yu Wu pushed him away in pain, begging him to be gentle, and complaining that her area was still sore.

Cheng Yi took off her clothes, swept her hair back, and felt a tightness in his heart at the sight of her confused and infatuated expression. He lowered his head and gently kissed her eyes, promising to make her feel comfortable and to be good. He said he would give her anything as long as she was good.

"Xiaoyi."

"Hmm?" Cheng Yi looked up at her. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment, sniffing softly, "Even if we argue, don't leave me alone, okay?"

Cheng Yi felt as if his heart was being squeezed tightly by an invisible hand. He promised her, and she had to promise him that she would no longer pay any attention to Ke Yanchen.

Yuwu agreed.

This time, the feeling was completely different. Both of them explored cautiously, and the foreplay lasted exceptionally long. Cheng Yi was sweating profusely, his gentle, slow voice filled with tense restraint. Yu Wu felt a sensation she had never experienced before.

Afterwards, the wound on his abdomen reopened, and the bandage was covered in bright red blood.

Yuwu had to apply medicine and re-bandage him.

Under the lights, the grotesque blood hole looked terrifying and eerie.

"Does it hurt?" Yu Wu asked with concern.

Cheng Yi shook his head.

Yuwu gently kissed the edge of the wound.

After finishing everything, the two of them hugged each other and fell into a deep sleep.

...

At six o'clock in the morning, Cheng Yi woke up according to his biological clock. He kissed the forehead of the little one in his arms and went to the shower to wash up.

After everything was done, the person on the bed still had their eyes closed and was breathing evenly. The intense possessiveness from last night returned.

I want to lick her.

He removed the clothes that bound her body, and in the sunlight, he saw a vibrant red that resembled crushed, rotten rose juice.

My breath caught in my throat.

He couldn't help but kiss her.

Yu Wu woke up with a muffled groan and pleaded softly, "Stop making a fuss."

In the end, reason gave way to passion, and they were both unable to extricate themselves.

Afterwards, Cheng Yi gave Yu Wu a quick cleaning and then took a shower. When he came back, Yu Wu was fast asleep again.

Cheng Yi quietly climbed into bed, and, unusually, took a nap while holding her, sleeping until noon with Yu Wu. He used to particularly dislike people who slept in, thinking they lacked willpower, but surprisingly, sleeping in with her wasn't so bad.

The midday sun of midsummer filled the entire bedroom, particles floated in the slightly cool air, and the two of them wrapped themselves in a cool quilt and chatted idly.

Considering that his wound reopened yesterday, it was Yu Wu who cooked the meal.

The aroma of chicken soup filled the living room as Yuwu brought the dishes to the table and invited Chengyi to eat.

He was dressed in his pajamas, with a cool, aloof expression, waiting like a boss for Yu Wu to bring the dishes to the table.

Yu Wu prepared three dishes and a soup. She served him the stewed chicken soup, propping her head up with her hand and looking at him expectantly, seeking praise. "How is it?"

"It tastes awful." He frowned and put down the soup.

Yu Wu stared wide-eyed in disbelief, but after taking a sip herself, she found it salty, savory, and delicious.

"Xiao Yi!" Yu Wu patiently lectured him, "Xiao Yi, good children don't lie. You have to tell the truth!"

Cheng Yi's expression was indifferent. Unable to bear her repeated use of "Xiao Yi," he turned his head away uncomfortably.

Tsk.

How annoying! Why did I have to reveal my nickname?

Yu Wu was still saying "little one" repeatedly when, in the next second, she saw Cheng Yi, who had just looked so smug, suddenly have a suspicious red tinge around his ears.

He's shy!

How could Cheng Yi, who is usually cold-blooded, contemptuous, selfish, and arrogant, actually be shy?

Yu Wu, as if she had discovered a new continent, kept calling him with a mischievous grin: "Xiao Yi? Xiao Yi baby?"

Cheng Yi turned his face away and said fiercely, "Shut up!" Unfortunately, it had no deterrent effect whatsoever.

Yu Wu propped her head up with her hand and chuckled, "Xiao Yi, is the chicken soup delicious?"

Cheng Yi glared at her and uttered two words.

"generally."

"Little One Baby?"

"It's delicious, okay?"

The man surrendered, and Yuwu was satisfied.

*

The peaceful and warm days passed by like flowing water, and the two of them got along better and better.

Having partnered with EchoOS, Cheng Yi had to get up every night to attend international meetings. Before getting up, he would kiss Yu Wu's forehead, and Yu Wu would groggily tell him to come back early. When he got into bed, bringing with him the cool scent of the night, Yu Wu would naturally snuggle into his arms.

He always had a strong libido, and Yuwu was forced to get used to it every morning, and after they had had their fill of sex, they would shower together before going to work.

After work, the two would go to the supermarket together, and Chengyi would usually cook when they got home. Although Yuwu was still a picky eater, he forced her to try eating some vegetables.

When Yu Wu encounters some work-related problems, she will consult Cheng Yi. He will first mock her, and then patiently guide her.

Cheng Yi gave Yu Wu a card and asked her to prepare a gift for him on July 27th.

Yu Wu accepted the card, but a strange unease began to creep in. A thought crept into her mind: these happy days were probably coming to an end.

Because she didn't want to put in the effort or put in the thought of preparing a gift.

Throughout this relationship, Cheng Yi was always in control, while she passively accepted everything.

She knew she was being a bit awkward; it was really just a casual gift she wanted to buy. It was like how she couldn't bring herself to say "I love you" or "I like you" to her boyfriend.

*

Time quickly came to July 27th.

It was Friday, and Chengyi came to pick her up as usual after get off work.

The two dined at a quiet restaurant, the warm lighting illuminating their picturesque features, their eyes locked on each other.

In the presidential suite on the top floor, the two couldn't wait to kiss as soon as the door closed.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, the city's dazzling neon lights flowed like a river in the hazy night. Above, a crystal chandelier cast warm light onto the handmade Persian carpet, and champagne droplets meandered down the crystal bottles, mingling with the subtle fragrance of Ecuadorian roses in the air.

In the warm glow of a late summer night, their bodies pressed together in the small space, an irresistible surge of male hormones igniting their blood. Their eyes met, and the air was thick with barely suppressed desire.

Cheng Yi gently pecked at Yu Wu's eyelids, his voice hoarse as he asked, "Where's my gift?"

The air suddenly became quiet.

Yu Wu's breathing was unsteady as she pursed her lips and stared directly into his dark and menacing eyes. She knew this day had finally come, that she was finally going to lose him. To be honest, during these happy days, she had always felt an unreal, floating feeling, but now, knowing she was going to lose him, she felt a sense of relief and peace.

"No gift."

Cheng Yi calmly gazed at her, and the surrounding air seemed to freeze.
