Chapter 59 Green Tea's thin red lace lingerie.

Chapter 59 Green Tea's thin red lace lingerie.

A group of people made a scene at the entrance for quite a while; it was already past eight o'clock. In the end, Yu Wu persuaded Ke Yanchen a few times, and Ke Yanchen led his men elsewhere.

They moved to a private room, and after a few drinks, everyone was warm and tipsy. They deliberately avoided mentioning the unpleasant things that had just happened, and the atmosphere became lively again.

Ye Ren put his arm around his girlfriend Luo Yueke's shoulder and introduced her to everyone one by one. Luo Yueke was the innocent type, with slightly upturned eyes that gave her a captivating charm.

When they reached Ke Yanchen and Yu Wu, Yu Wu congratulated Luo Yueke on her career advancement and complimented her on her beautiful little black dress.

Luo Yue also praised Yu Wu's good temperament and asked if she was a ballet dancer. The two shared similar interests and chatted for a while, leaving the two men behind.

Yu Wu returned to Ke Yanchen's side, her gaze still lingering on Luo Yueke's back, and sincerely exclaimed, "This dress makes her look so slim."

"Girls look better in light colors." Ke Yanchen squeezed her fingers, then whispered warm breath in her ear, "I'll get you one sometime. What color do you want? White? Pink?"

Yu Wu paused, then remained silent. Her eyes lit up. "Okay, pink it is!"

She knew that Ke Yanchen liked girls to wear pink.

Sure enough, Ke Yanchen's lips curled slightly, he gently tugged at Yu Wu's earlobe, and said with a smile, "Okay."

Her shy yet adoring expression was incredibly cute, and Ke Yanchen's heart warmed. His throat bobbed, and a dark figure surrounded him like a wall. He pecked her forehead, his eyes inscrutable, and then tentatively pecked her lips.

Yu Wu's breath hitched, and she turned her head away.

Ke Yanchen wasn't angry. His smile was gentle and tender. He brought his lips close to her ear, teasing her with warmth, and said in a deep, husky voice, "I won't tease you anymore."

Yu Wu pursed her lips and picked at her nails, her eyes and brows full of youthful shyness.

"Keke, give me a little more time."

*

Since the last conflict with Cheng Yi, Ke Yanchen and his friends have basically gone to clubs owned by their friends, and they haven't had any more problems.

Thanks to the efforts of Yu Wu and Sister Ling, the Yu family was finally able to catch their breath and developed a new business cooperation fund recovery model, which improved efficiency considerably. Overall, however, they were still struggling to survive amidst the crisis.

On Wednesday after work, Ke Yanchen arrived early at the Yu family's building to wait for her. As Yu Wu got into the car, the weather suddenly turned gloomy, and several claps of thunder roared as a torrential downpour began.

The torrential rain, combined with rush hour traffic, caused severe congestion, extending the journey from 30 minutes to more than double.

The convoy ahead remained motionless. Ke Yanchen lazily propped his head up, his throat itching. He tapped a cigarette, flipping the lighter in his hand, about to light it. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Yu Wu beside him frown slightly, then slowly took the cigarette away.

“I forgot you don’t like the smell of smoke.” He turned his head and looked straight at Yu Wu, a smile on his lips, and stretched out his hand like Yu Wu had done last time, “Then hit me.”

Yu Wu was startled, her gaze meeting his dark, deep pupils. A slender, white fingertip reached out and lightly touched his palm, like a dragonfly skimming the water, her voice soft and sweet.

"I can't bear to hit you."

Raindrops pattered against the windowpane, leaving mottled streaks. Ke Yanchen's pupils darkened, and he simply handed the lighter to Yu Wu, saying, "Here, I'm going to start quitting smoking."

Yu Wu gave a self-deprecating smile to herself.

During high school, he also said that he would quit smoking because of her.

She accepted it, put it in her bag, and pretended to threaten him, "Keke, you can't go back on your word! And you can't use someone else's lighter!"

Ke Yanchen smiled with a slight dimple and lazily agreed.

Yu Wu glanced at the seemingly endless queue ahead and suggested going to her house for instant noodles. "Since you behaved well today, I can fry you an egg."

Ke Yanchen really liked this fried egg, so he finally complied with her wish and drove to Xiting.

The property management needed Yu Wu to sign something, so after getting out of the car, she went to the property management office first and gave the key to Ke Yanchen so he could go upstairs and cook.

Ke Yanchen opened the door to Yu Wu's house and stepped into the foyer. His gaze fell on a pair of gleaming handmade leather shoes in the living room. From the textured black trousers, his gaze traveled up to a face with a cold and indifferent expression.

Hearing the noise, the man slowly turned around, his gaze casually falling on Ke Yanchen's face.

The air grew quiet.

His anger surged to its peak, and Ke Yanchen, breathing heavily, coldly demanded, "What are you doing here?"

"Here to return the things." Cheng Yi raised his wrist, two fingers twisting the thin strap of a red lace bra, his tone flippant and provocative: "You've never seen her wear this before, have you?"

With a bang—

His reason was swallowed by the molten lava, and Ke Yanchen punched Cheng Yi hard in the face.

Cheng Yi could have easily dodged it, but he heard a rustling sound at the door and took the punch head-on, lying down as a result.

......

As soon as Yu Wu entered the room, she saw Ke Yanchen and Cheng Yi fighting. When she exclaimed in surprise and went closer, she realized that it was Ke Yanchen who was hitting Cheng Yi.

She hurriedly separated the two, helped Cheng Yi up, and asked with concern, "Are you alright?"

Cheng Yi frowned, looking extremely pained, and clutched his stomach with one hand, hissing coldly, "Stomach ache."

Yu Wu knew he had a stomach ailment, so she helped him to the sofa and asked him in a low voice with a look of concern.

......

Ke Yanchen gritted his teeth, clenched his fists tightly, and his eyes were practically spitting fire.

Damn Cheng Yi, you damn green tea b*tch!

He just slapped Cheng Yi in the face!

Why are you talking about stomach aches?

He stepped forward, pulled aside the gloom, and spat out each word through gritted teeth.

"I'll take care of it."

Cheng Yi still had his brows furrowed tightly, and whispered, "Medicine."

Yu Wu quickly turned around to get spare medicine from the storage cabinet, and then fed him some warm water, but Ke Yanchen took it away.

Ke Yanchen shoved the water glass at Cheng Yi with a fierce expression, splashing water that soaked Cheng Yi's suit shirt.

Cheng Yi lowered his eyes and didn't answer.

Yu Wu gave Ke Yanchen a reproachful look and whispered to him, "He has a stomach problem; you shouldn't have hit his stomach there." After saying that, she handed the medicine to Cheng Yi, leaned down, and gently advised, "Take your medicine first."

A loud bang—

Ke Yanchen smashed the cup in his hand, stared coldly at Yu Wu, and twitched the corner of his mouth.

"I'm your boyfriend."

After saying that, he turned and left, no matter how much Yu Wu called out to him, it was no use.

As soon as Ke Yanchen left, Cheng Yi chuckled softly and slowly, a particularly wicked laugh. At the end of the laugh, he sat back on the sofa with his legs wide open, head tilted back, in a carefree posture.

Yuwu turned to look at him.

Raindrops pattered against the glass outside the window, and the room was silent and dimly lit.

Cheng Yi raised his eyelids, his eyes filled with amusement and mockery, and said slowly, "This is the happiness you've worked so hard to obtain."

This is the cheap junk you found after you abandoned me.

It was full of mockery.

Yu Wu's heart suddenly tightened. She realized that he just wanted to see her make a fool of herself.

She lowered her eyes, then looked directly at him and said, "You don't need to come all the way to my house to tell me." After saying that, she turned and chased after Ke Yanchen.

The lights inside were off, reflecting the gloomy weather outside.

Cheng Yi slumped back on the sofa, his back completely enveloped in darkness. His face was expressionless as he stared blankly at the dappled rain streaks on the French windows for a moment. He took out his cigarette case, intending to flick one out, but then paused, tossing it aside in annoyance.

She doesn't like the smell of smoke in the house.

*

Yu Wu caught up with Ke Yanchen in the underground parking lot.

He sat in the driver's seat, intending to light a cigarette, only to remember that his lighter was with Yu Wu. He could have left, but he didn't know what he was expecting or waiting for.

What if she doesn't even pursue him? Wouldn't he just be making a fool of himself?

When he noticed the slender figure out of the corner of his eye, Ke Yanchen felt a sense of relief and his tense nerves relaxed.

...

Yu Wu got into the car and tugged at his arm, shaking it. She explained that she had just been anxious, and that she only learned about his stomach problems during a previous collaboration on a project. She said she was wrong and asked Ke Ke not to be angry.

She spoke one sentence after another, her voice growing softer with each one.

My heart melted at her words.

Ke Yanchen couldn't resist her, and also felt that it was Cheng Yi, that scheming green tea bitch, who had been stirring up trouble, and that Yu Wu, being so innocent, was also a victim. Therefore, he relented and gave a haughty snort.

"Come stay at my place." He looked directly at Yu Wu and made an invitation that left no room for refusal.

*

Ke Yanchen's home is a typical bachelor pad, with an overall gray-black color scheme and cold, hard lines.

Ke Yanchen bought groceries at the supermarket downstairs and made spaghetti for Yu Wu. Knowing that Yu Wu was a picky eater, he also bought several kinds of vegetables to mix and match.

After dinner, Ke Yanchen urged Yu Wu to take a shower.

Yu Wu clasped her hands together, looked at him with her watery eyes, and asked in a muffled voice, "What should I wear later?"

Fool.

We can't leave her without clothes to wear.

Ke Yanchen found her one of his own pure cotton white T-shirts.

......

Ke Yanchen had already finished showering and was leaning back on the sofa, turning on the TV.

It was pouring rain outside the apartment building, but the only sound coming from the television in the living room.

Yu Wu emerged from the shower, looking somewhat embarrassed, and asked him for help in a soft voice: "I can't find your hairdryer."

She was already fair-skinned, and now, having washed away all artifice, she was spotless. Her hair was damp and dripping with water, making her look delicate and fresh, like the trembling flesh of a peeled, tender white lychee. She wore his T-shirt, which reached between her thighs and knees, revealing her two straight and slender legs.

My breath hitched suddenly.

Ke Yanchen suppressed his emotions without showing any emotion, his Adam's apple bobbing, and turned to go to the shower room to get her a hairdryer. When he came out, he also had a towel in his hand.

He stood to one side of the sofa and beckoned to Yu Wu, "Come here."

Yuwu sat down in front of him, and he carefully dried the water from her hair with a towel.

Her movements were so gentle, as if she were some precious, fragile object. Yu Wu asked, "Ke Ke, are you going to blow-dry my hair?"

"fool."

Even without turning her head, she could feel his gentle tenderness. "Keke, you don't need to be so gentle. It takes too much time."

“I’m afraid of hurting you,” he replied slowly.

Yu Wu let out an "oh," then turned to look at him earnestly, revealing a pure and innocent smile: "Ke Ke, you're so good to me."

"Sit up straight and blow-dry your hair!" Ke Yanchen straightened her head, but his heart was particularly tender.

*

After drying their hair, the two watched TV in the living room for a while.

By 11 p.m., Yu Wu was getting sleepy.

Ke Yanchen led her to the guest room and gave her an introduction.

Yu Wu nodded, listening very attentively. Finally, she blinked and asked, "Aren't you leaving yet?"

Ke Yanchen leaned against the door frame, arms crossed, a smile playing on his lips: "Yes, I'll be with you tonight."

"Huh?" Yu Wu's eyes widened, looking troubled, her voice low: "That's not what you said when we came..."

"You believe what men say?" Ke Yanchen tapped her little nose, pulled her into his arms, and started acting like a rogue, refusing to leave.

Her body was fragrant and soft, and she still smelled of his usual shower gel. An indescribable burning sensation boiled in his throat, constantly challenging his willpower.

He's been pretending to be a virtuous gentleman for far too long.

If it weren't for the desire to be with her for a long time, he probably wouldn't have been able to control himself.

After all, what girl is as reserved as her, not even allowing a kiss?

“…No.” Yu Wu made a small struggle with her words, but her body did not move much.

"Of course." Ke Yanchen cupped her face in his hands, his gaze moist and undisguised.

Yu Wu was all too familiar with that look in a man's eyes. Before she could think much about it, Ke Yanchen had already slowly moved closer to her.

She pursed her lips defensively.

The expected gentle peck didn't come; he simply moved closer and stared at her intently.

Yu Wu whispered, "...What's wrong?"

What a silly girl.

Clumsy.

However, she is indeed very clean. She should be keeping herself pure, but she dared to go home with her boyfriend without even realizing it.

Ke Yanchen lowered his eyelids, pressed his thumb against her lips, and gently pushed down. His mind was already wildly and wickedly imagining the softness within. Just as he was about to intensify his advances and increase physical contact, his phone rudely interrupted the ambiguous atmosphere with a ringtone.

He answered the phone, his brows furrowing slightly. "I'll be right there."

"Is something the matter?" Yu Wu asked with concern.

"Something happened at the company, I have to go check it out. You go to sleep first." Ke Yanchen let out a long sigh, settled Yu Wu down, gave her a final peck on the forehead, and hurriedly left.

*

Ke Yanchen didn't get back until 5 a.m.

The room was dark, so he went to Yuwu's room.

She curled up into a ball, in a defensive posture.

Time slipped by silently, and she remained in the same position. Until her body suddenly jerked, letting out a muffled groan of pain: "...Xiao Yi."

Ke Yanchen stood up and bent down to check on her. She was still asleep, and he didn't know what she was dreaming about. He called out again, his voice choked with emotion, "Xiao Yi."

Ke Yanchen frowned deeply.

Who is Xiao Yi?

Why would she shout like that in her sleep?

He felt deep pity for her suffering, but also profound doubt.

—She has a secret.

She probably liked him, but she always seemed to be hiding some lingering emotions. She was wonderful, exceptionally wonderful, but she always made him feel insecure. She rarely cried or made a fuss, and she was even forgiving and understanding when he took care of his ex-girlfriend. If you really wanted to delve deeper, she didn't seem to have that strong a possessive streak towards him.

He stepped forward and tucked the blanket around her, completely at a loss for what to do with her.

After sitting there for an unknown amount of time, Yu Wu blinked groggily and found Ke Yanchen sitting by her bedside. Whether she was dreaming or not, she asked in a soft, muffled voice, "Ke Ke? What are you doing here?"

Do you love me?
