Chapter 109 The First Black Shop

In the early hours of the morning, the streets of Wuwang District were brightly lit, and Chuanliu once again secretly went out.

Of course, in this place that is like a "city that never sleeps", it is not uncommon for people like her to be wandering around outside in the middle of the night.

Although the relationship between Susan and Madman Feng has not yet been clarified, at least Chuanliu's speculation about the First Yorozuya has been partially confirmed.

This made her even more certain that she needed to go see Lao Feng.

Arriving at Lao Feng's all-purpose shop again, she was relieved to find the lights still on inside.

A few faint rays of light shone through the cracks in the wooden door, and the figures inside could be vaguely seen busily moving about.

Chuanliu gently knocked on the door, and after a short while, the door opened.

The person who opened the door was none other than Madman Feng. He was spreading a large box out on the ground, and some small pieces of furniture from the room had been thrown into the box.

As he opened the door, he threw out what he was holding, which collided with the contents of the box, making a clattering sound.

Upon seeing the masked Chuanliu, Madman Feng surprisingly recognized her.

He rubbed his aching lower back and a smile appeared on his lips.

"Long time no see, little girl! Welcome to Old Feng's Everything Shop!"

Chuanliu looked at him with some surprise; she had never seen such a lucid madman as Feng.

The old woman spoke clearly and logically, not only remembering that she had been there before, but also matching the two previous visits.

"Don't come so late next time, I need to sleep too."

Crazy Feng grumbled somewhat discontentedly, but then changed his tone, "However, considering you've been patronizing my business, I won't pursue this matter."

Chuanliu smiled slightly, "Where are you headed?"

Judging from Lao Feng's appearance, it seems he's about to move.

Chuanliu immediately recalled Susan's visit to Lao Feng's shop that morning and asked, "Are you moving in with your family afterward?"

Old Feng scoffed, "Family? I'm an old bachelor, where would I get family?"

"So what are you doing here?"

Chuanliu pointed to the box on the ground.

"Ah, someone insists on taking me away. That bastard, he never comes to see me normally, but he comes up like a ghost every now and then. He keeps saying that my place is too small, poorly lit, dark and damp, and there's nowhere to wash my feet. Tell me, is that even human?"

Looking at the narrow and cluttered room, the wooden windows that had been sealed off for years, the dilapidated furniture, and the occasional dripping sound, I felt a sense of loss.

Chuanliu nodded silently.

Could the "someone" that Lao Feng mentioned be Susan?

Thinking this, Old Feng gently patted the dust off his hands and then sat leisurely behind the table.

He stroked his beard, a glint of wisdom in his eyes. "What question do you want to ask this time?"

Chuanliu didn't beat around the bush and sat down directly in the chair opposite Lao Feng, saying, "I want to investigate someone's identity."

Old Feng asked curiously, "Who is it?"

Chuanliu took a deep breath and slowly exhaled two words:

"Susan."

As he uttered the name, Chuanliu stared intently at Lao Feng's expression, afraid of missing any subtle change in his face.

To everyone's surprise, Lao Feng remained unfazed, as if the name was a complete stranger to him, and did not experience any significant emotional fluctuation upon hearing it.

Old Feng said "Oh," and didn't rummage through the filing cabinet as he had done before.

He put on a pair of reading glasses hanging around his neck and started writing and drawing in his notebook.

His attitude was puzzling; it was unclear whether he knew Susan or not.

Chuanliu sat there patiently, quietly watching Lao Feng's every move.

After a long pause, Old Feng finally spoke casually:

"Susan, sure. But do you have any extra identity tokens?"

Chuanliu took out the "Two of Hearts" card he had found on the black market.

Old Feng was stunned for a moment, not expecting that this girl actually had a second identity card.

He pushed up his glasses, looked at the girl, and said with a hint of doubt in his voice, "You little girl, you're quite something, aren't you?"

Chuanliu smiled. "If you're interested in hearing the origin of this card, I won't charge you extra; just one 'Two of Hearts' will do."

Old Feng chuckled twice. "You think you can do business with me? I'm not like that shady business next door, the Yorozuya, where we do one-for-one deals."

The old man happily pocketed the "Two of Hearts" and said, "Susan, auctioneer, 'Ten of Hearts,' 39 years old. She's been an auctioneer before and after arriving on the island, and is currently an honorary auctioneer at the Wuwang Auction House. She has a nominal position at the Hearts Casino, but no real power; she doesn't do any work. Before…"

Old Feng recounted the story in great detail, fully demonstrating the professionalism of a Yorozuya owner, which impressed Chuanliu.

Chuanliu couldn't help but wonder why Lao Feng always seemed so crazy when he saw him before.

"...So now she mainly travels between the Boundless District and the City of Hearts."

After finishing his speech without pausing, Lao Feng took a sip of water and waited for Chuanliu's feedback.

However, Chuanliu did not hear what he wanted to hear.

She asked doubtfully, "What about the First Everything Shop? What is Susan's relationship with the First Everything Shop?"

"The First Everything Shop? Isn't that Old Feng's Everything Shop? Her shop and mine? They have no connection?"

Old Feng scratched his chin in confusion, then said with a confident look.

How could Susan not have anything to do with Lao Feng? She clearly has the key to Lao Feng's shop!

Could it be that Lao Feng has lost this part of his memory again?

After thinking for a moment, Chuanliu explained, "It's that store you mentioned that had a one-for-one promotion a couple of days ago."

Old Feng immediately bristled and glared, saying, "That black-hearted shop? They dare call themselves number one? The number one black-hearted shop, huh! Bah!"

The girl touched her nose and coughed lightly twice. "Sir, you've gone off-topic."

Old Feng looked disgusted. "I have no idea what Susan has to do with that shady shop."

Chuanliu fell silent.

Maybe Lao Feng didn't know, maybe Susan really had nothing to do with the First Everything Shop, maybe... Lao Feng was hiding something.

In short, she didn't get the question she wanted to know.

Oh well, I wasted fifty yuan.

But at least now we know that there is someone behind Lao Feng, someone he is about to turn to.

When Qianchuan opened the hotel room door, he saw Chuanliu sitting leisurely on his sofa, casually flipping through the hotel brochure.

The man was taken aback at first, clearly not expecting to see Chuanliu in the middle of the night.

But he quickly regained his composure, a playful smile appearing on his face.

He sat lazily on the bed, facing Chuanliu, but didn't ask her how she got in.

"What brings you here in the middle of the night?" Qian Chuan asked with a hint of teasing.

Chuanliu cut straight to the point and asked his question: "Is Susan the owner of the First Yorozuya?"

Upon hearing this, Qian Chuan's eyes flashed with a strange light, and he asked with a light laugh:

Why do you say that?
