Chapter 95 Relieving the Siege of Wei by Attacking Zhao

Chuanliu quickly hid behind a pillar.

Immediately afterwards, a figure covered in wounds struggled to break free from the group of thugs.

It was Wu Fangming.

He gripped the two broken bottles tightly in both hands and poured the remaining liquor from the bottles onto his wounds.

Xu Zhi hid at the very back of the crowd, protected by his men, and carefully observed the man's situation.

Wu Fangming was seriously injured. His arm and abdomen were slashed open by the iron rod, leaving two horrifying gashes. The wounds were so deep that bone was visible, the flesh was torn and blood was everywhere. Under the man's crude hemostasis, the wounds had a terrifying dark red color, as if an abyss was devouring his life force.

He endured the pain, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, only to feel a warm liquid slowly flowing down his forehead. He raised his hand to touch it, and felt a sticky, warm sensation on his fingertips—it was his own blood.

Seeing this, the thugs quickly surrounded Wu Fangming. Holding iron bars, they warily blocked the man's steps, using their weapon advantage to maintain a safe distance from him.

These thugs were worlds apart from Feng Er's thugs in terms of professionalism. They were well-trained, coordinated perfectly, and fought Wu Fangming to a standstill. Due to their overwhelming numerical advantage, they even gradually gained the upper hand.

However, despite being at a disadvantage, Wu Fangming showed no fear whatsoever; in fact, his momentum only intensified.

The man's sharp eyes flashed with a terrifying light, and he raised his head slightly, exuding an air of dominance over the world.

He took a step forward, and the thugs around him took a step back, all intimidated by his imposing presence and dared not approach.

Seeing Wu Fangming getting closer and closer, Chuanliu had a sudden thought and jumped out from the shadows.

Everyone was startled by her appearance, especially Xu Zhi, who was hiding in the back and had no idea she would be there.

Xu Zhi's heart tightened. She stared intently at the girl, a dangerous glint flashing in her eyes.

Now that things have fallen apart, there's no need for her to play the good older sister anymore. She sneered, "Chuanliu, I didn't expect you to still be alive."

Chuanliu retorted, "Sister Xu is alive and well, how could I bear to die?"

Xu Zhi's eyes flickered slightly. "It's alright, I'll take care of you too, so you'll have company on your journey to the underworld."

The latter slowly raised her eyes, looking mysterious and unpredictable; she looked at Wu Fangming, and suddenly took two steps forward.

Suddenly, the girl shouted:

"Look at the poison powder!"

As she spoke, she raised a handful of yellow powder.

The thugs who were close to her quickly covered their mouths and noses and moved away.

Seeing this, the girl immediately took advantage of the opening to pull Wu Fangming out of the gap and ran away with him without looking back.

Wu Fangming instantly understood her meaning and followed her.

What was that just now?

"Huh? It's just dirt I grabbed on the way."

Xu Zhi quickly realized what was happening and shouted angrily:

"You bunch of idiots, you've fallen for their trap! Go and arrest them!"

Hearing the woman's unreasonable words, the leader of the thugs frowned. "Miss Xu, we are not your subordinates. Please show some respect."

Then, he led the other thugs to chase after them.

Before long, the thugs caught up with the two by following their trail.

Wu Fangming instinctively stood behind Chuan Liu, but the intense running caused his wounds to reopen, and blood gushed out in gushes.

Unexpectedly, Chuanliu patted Wu Fangming's arm, then walked past the man and stood in front of him.

She caught her breath, and her every move showed a certain calm and composure.

Seeing the girl's calm demeanor, the thugs suddenly froze, and the leader cautiously said:

"Surrender! The two of you can't beat us."

The girl said, "If I'm not mistaken, your boss made a deal with Xu Zhi. Your boss is responsible for dealing with me, and Xu Zhi is responsible for dealing with Wu Fangming, right?"

The leader avoided eye contact. "I don't know what you're talking about. Our boss is Xu Zhi, and we work for Xu Zhi."

Chuanliu smiled. "Is that so? It's fine if you don't want to admit it, but do you want to think about why I'm still alive here?"

The man was taken aback. Thinking of his boss's deal with Xu Zhi, and seeing the unharmed girl, he was somewhat confused.

But then he thought again and said fiercely:

"Then we'll deal with both of you together."

The girl sighed, shook her head, and said:

"Don't you think you've fallen into a trap? You dealt with me, and you dealt with Wu Fangming too. What did Xu Zhi do?"

The thugs fell silent.

The former continued to sow discord, saying, "Why didn't the 'boss' you mentioned come along? Doesn't she need to deliver the goods?"

The thugs looked at each other, thinking to themselves: Xu Zhi, that woman, is actually trying to double-cross us!

The leader's face was grim, but thinking of his mission, he gritted his teeth and pointed at Wu Fangming, saying:

"No matter what, our mission is to listen to Xu Zhi and take him down."

Just as the thugs were about to make their move, one of Xu Zhi's subordinates suddenly ran over, panting, and said to the leader:

"Boss Xu wants you to go back immediately! Something's happened at the winery!"

"Grass!"

The latter cursed angrily, glanced at Chuanliu and Wu Fangming, and then left with his men.

Meanwhile, at the Cube Winery, Qian Chuan, having received Xiong Ajiao's message, arrived at the winery entrance with a large group of men, completely surrounding Xu Zhi and her people.

When Lei Laojiu's gang of thugs returned, they witnessed what appeared to be a standoff between the two sides.

Adhering to the principle of being responsible for the mission, the thugs, despite being very unhappy with Xu Zhi, still stood in front of her.

Xu Zhi, who was initially outnumbered, immediately gained confidence and then spoke:

"Brother Qian Liu, what do you mean by this?"

When Qian Chuan saw the thugs rushing over, his expression suddenly changed from blank to worried. "Someone told me that my dear ally is in danger at Cube Winery, so I quickly brought people over."

He paused, his gaze sweeping over the people in front of Xu, and said meaningfully:

"However, it seems to me that Mr. Xu doesn't really need my help?"

Xu Zhi's lips twitched. Just now, Qian Chuan led so many people, looking fierce and menacing, not at all like someone who came to help.

She knew this couldn't be a coincidence, but with Lei Laojiu's men present, she couldn't say much. She could only grit her teeth and swallow her anger, forcing a smile as she said:

"Brother Qian, you've misunderstood. There's nothing wrong with me."

The latter raised an eyebrow. "I see... I brought my whole family with me... Could this be a diversionary tactic?"

"What?"

Xu Zhi didn't react in time.

Qian Chuan looked alarmed. "Oh no! Let's go home!"

Before Xu Zhi could speak, Qian Chuan directed everyone to disappear from her sight.
