Follow me after Chapter 178

"Hey, isn't this Sister Susan? What brings you here?"

Jiulong looked innocent and smiled as he spoke.

Susan's originally gentle and dignified features were now covered with frost, and her eyes revealed an indescribable ferocity, as if she wanted to pierce through Jiulong.

Her voice carried a hint of dissatisfaction: "Jiulong, what right do you have to take my people away without my permission while I was away?"

Jiulong feigned surprise and, as if accusing He Dadong, asked, "Dadong, what's going on?"

"That's right. This morning I saw a group of people causing trouble in our red-light district, so I had Ah Qiang teach them a lesson and take them away."

He Da Dong wore a gloating smile, seemingly completely unaware of his own problem.

Then, as if suddenly realizing something, he said, "Oh my god, that's Susan's person? Oh no, oh no!"

Jiulong quickly said from the side, "Since it's a misunderstanding, why don't you apologize to your sister Susan and release her?"

He Dadong looked troubled and said to Zhuang Qiang, "Qiang, you didn't do anything to those people, did you?"

Zhuang Qiang said with a blank look, "After Brother Da Dong finished speaking, I took care of the person."

Jiulong said with great distress, "Oh God, this is truly our fault! Sister Susan, look, we, we didn't do it on purpose."

Susan gritted her teeth, knowing full well that the three of them were just going through the motions, but she had no evidence whatsoever.

She scoffed, "Dealt with? What about the people after that? What about the bodies? You're not going to get away with this today!"

Chuanliu stood by and observed the whole time. It was obvious that the three Long Dongqiang brothers were putting on a show, pretending to be stupid, shirking responsibility, and playing the good cop and bad cop, leaving Susan speechless.

The group of Susan's men who were taken away have probably been imprisoned and are being prepared to be sold to Hou Yifan once the storm has passed.

Therefore, they absolutely would not, and had nothing, to return to Susan.

After Susan finished speaking, she led her men to search the premises.

Immediately afterwards, they were stopped by Jiulong's men.

"Sister Susan, no matter what, this is our red-light district territory. Your search with your people is affecting our business. If it impacts the profits of Red Peach City, that wouldn't be good, would it?"

Susan said coldly, "Jiulong, don't forget who I am. I'm 'Red Heart 10,' and the red-light district is part of my business. What right do you have to stop me? Search me!"

Just as He Dadong was about to say something, Chuanliu, who had been silent all along, seized the opportunity to jump out.

Susan only saw a clean-cut young man standing in front of everyone.

The boy said, "Didn't you hear what our boss said? This is red-light district territory. Every country has its laws, and every family has its rules. Even if you're the '10 of Hearts,' you can't act recklessly!"

Jiulong hadn't expected "Little Ni" to speak out so suddenly.

But the boy's fearless spirit was exactly what they wanted. They couldn't completely break ties with Susan, but the newcomer "Little Ni" could.

Commonly known as playing the bad cop.

Susan was clearly furious at the boy's words. She pointed at him and scolded, "Insolence! Jiulong, how do you discipline your servants!"

Before Susan could finish speaking, "Little Ni" retorted, "Even if Brother Long didn't say it, I know that whoever creates the profits has the right to speak! Don't think that just because you're ranked higher than us you can order us around!"

"you!"

Susan had never seen such a shameless statement before. She blushed with anxiety, feeling a sense of powerlessness that was both reasonable and inexplicable.

She raised her hand, about to slap the boy's face.

But the latter caught it with a sneer, saying, "What? You can't win an argument, so you resort to violence? The mighty '10 of Hearts' is nothing special after all, huh? Hahahaha."

Susan shook off his hand and took two steps back in frustration.

"Little Ni, that's enough."

Jiulong, who was almost unable to contain his laughter, decided to stop while he was ahead and shouted in a stern tone.

The boy then gave Susan a defiant look before staggering back into the group.

Susan took a deep breath, glaring at Jiulong with hatred, naturally assuming that the boy's actions were at Jiulong's behest. Then she said, "Jiulong, you'd better not give me any leverage over you!"

"Yo yo! You can't beat them, so you start threatening them?" The boy's voice continued to ring out from the group.

"Little Ni," Jiulong interrupted, seemingly displeased.

"You!" Susan's face turned ashen, and she turned to leave.

As she reached the door, she suddenly remembered something, turned around, and said, "You don't know yet, do you? 'Square 10' went to Plum Blossom City a few days ago, and she's regained her memories. Your good days are over!"

"Worry about yourselves first," Jiulong said with a smirk, "Dadong, Aqiang, what are you standing there for? Go and see your sister Susan off."

Susan left angrily amidst a chorus of boos.

After Susan left, Jiulong's smile vanished as quickly as the tide receded, replaced by his usual coldness. He reached out and habitually smoothed his long, slick braid, his deep eyes gleaming with an unfathomable light.

He called out in a deep voice to Xiao Ni, who was standing to the side, "Xiao Ni, come here."

Hearing the coldness in Jiulong's voice, "Xiao Ni" suddenly felt the fear of a child who had done something wrong. He lowered his head, walked over with slightly heavy steps, and stood in front of Jiulong, waiting for a reprimand.

Jiulong slowly stood up, looking down at the boy in front of him with a condescending gaze. His tone carried a hint of accusation: "Why did you do this?"

"Little Ni" seemed to still be indignant on Jiulong's behalf. He looked up at Jiulong and replied, "She was so rude to you, I couldn't stand it. I just wanted to help you get revenge..."

Jiulong smiled slightly and continued to press, "Then do you know where you went wrong?"

Xiao Ni hesitated for a moment, then nodded and whispered, "I shouldn't have offended the '10 of Hearts'."

“Wrong,” Jiulong’s voice was deep, and he put his hand on Xiao Ni’s shoulder. “You shouldn’t have continued talking after I told you to stop.”

"Little Ni" was stunned; he seemed not to have expected Jiulong to say that.

Then, Jiulong changed the subject, patted the boy on the shoulder, a hint of admiration flashing in his eyes, and laughed heartily, "However, you kid..."

He paused, his previously serious expression suddenly relaxing. "Truly worthy of being the person I've chosen, he has guts!"

"Little Ni" finally breathed a sigh of relief. "Brother Long, you're not angry with me for being reckless?"

“Young man, there’s nothing wrong with being a little radical!” Jiulong laughed. “I think you’re quite clever. Stop going to ‘drunk bars’ and come with me!”
