He threw the burnt eggs into the trash can, saying, "I'll fry them again."
"What are you thinking about?" Lin Xi took the frying pan from Song Xu's hands. "Let me do it."

After a quick breakfast, the two hurriedly left the apartment, mainly because Lin Xi was in a rush and would be late for class.
Song Xu followed closely behind her. "Xi Xi, don't rush. I can drive you to the teaching building."
"I don't want to be the center of attention," Lin Xi said. "Aren't you going to the company today? Just drop me off at the school gate."
Song Xu wasn't afraid of drawing attention at all. He couldn't wait to personally escort Lin Xi to her seat before leaving, so that those restless boys would give up.
But Lin Xi wouldn't allow it, and he was afraid of going too far and angering Lin Xi.

"You heartless little thing," Song Xu complained, touching his lips. Lin Xi's warmth was still there. He smiled smugly and drove away.
Lin Xi ran breathlessly to the bottom of the teaching building and saw Song Chen's car parked there.
The car was still running, which meant there was someone inside. She ran over and knocked on the window. After a while, the window finally rolled down.
"Xi Xi, why are you panting?" Song Chen asked, puzzled, seeing Lin Xi breathing heavily. "What happened?"
Lin Xi shook her head, bent down and saw that Bai Tiantian in the passenger seat had slightly flushed cheeks and moist lips. It seemed that she had disturbed them.
"I'm fine, I just ran from the school gate and I'm tired," Lin Xi quickly explained. "I saw your car parked here and came over to say hello. You guys continue, I'll go upstairs first."
"Xi Xi, wait for me!" Bai Tiantian got out of the car and caught up with Lin Xi.
Lin Xi kept walking. "Did I bother you and my brother? Next time I see you two, I'll definitely take a detour."
“We weren’t disturbing you,” Bai Tiantian said, taking Lin Xi’s arm. “We were almost done kissing anyway.”
Lin Xi glanced at Bai Tiantian and was truly impressed by her thick skin, seeing that she didn't blush or skip a beat.
"Why are you wearing a turtleneck today?" Lin Xi deliberately pulled at her collar and saw several hickeys on her fair neck. "My brother is pretty wild."
"How dare you say that to me?" Bai Tiantian also pulled Lin Xi's collar and saw the mark on her neck. She teased, "You're still young people playing around. Did Song Xu kiss you a rose?"
"Fine, you dare to complain about my brother being old?" Lin Xi brushed Bai Tiantian's hand away. "I'll text my brother in a bit and see how he teaches you a lesson tonight."
"Xi Xi, you've gone too far," Bai Tiantian pinched Lin Xi's cheek, "You can't just disown me as your best friend just because you have a brother now."
“We’re not best friends,” Lin Xi said with a smile. “Didn’t you call yourself my sister-in-law?”
The two of them joked and played around until they reached the classroom. They were late today and thought they would have to sit in the last row, but to their surprise, their usual seats were still there and no one was sitting in them.
Oh my god, their classmates are so kind, they even saved seats for them.
Song Chen walked into the classroom as the bell rang, glancing first at Lin Xi and Bai Tiantian in the first row.
Lin Xi was so focused on making time that she forgot her brother's class was the first one.
No wonder no one was sitting in her and Bai Tiantian's seats; they were all waiting to see them get questioned and then punished.

Bai Tiantian thought so too. She looked at Song Chen triumphantly. He had to praise her today, otherwise she would refuse to be intimate with him tonight.
But Lin Xi and Bai Tiantian were both wrong. Today, Song Chen was attacking indiscriminately. Anyone who couldn't answer a question was sent to the front to be punished by doing burpees.
