Chapter 63 Seven Stars Alignment

Chapter 63 Seven Stars Align

Hearing Song Xu's shout, Lin Xi remained calm. She walked over and asked through the door, "Mr. Song, what's wrong?"

Song Xu opened the door and walked out, his eyes blazing with anger. He pointed to a row of purple stars on his forehead and demanded, "What's this?"

“Squeezing blood in the mouth is a treatment for headaches,” Lin Xi explained casually. “Didn’t you have a headache last night?”

Song Xu was so angry that he spun around on the spot, "How am I supposed to go out and face people looking like this!"

"What's there to be ashamed of?" Lin Xi said nonchalantly. "It's not something to be ashamed of."

Lin Xi turned around to find the thermometer gun, pressed it against the star mark between Song Xu's eyebrows, and read 36.5 degrees Celsius. "The fever is gone, you don't need to take any more medicine."

It healed so quickly, I was fine in just one day.

Upon hearing the words "take medicine," Song Xu felt physically nauseous, and the thought of being forced to drink bitter medicine yesterday made him even angrier.

But he couldn't do anything to Lin Xi right now. He pointed at Lin Xi with his finger for a long time before finally saying, "Lin Xi, you've committed insubordination. Believe me or not, I'll dock your pay!"

These words struck a nerve with Lin Xi. She looked at Song Xu in disbelief, "I took care of you and still made a mistake. Were you just supposed to watch you burn to death?"

Lin Xi was seething with anger inside, but her face remained calm. "Moreover, it was Madam Song who called me personally, repeatedly telling me to make sure you take your medicine."

"My mom called you?" Song Xu's focus shifted. "What did she say to you?"

"I didn't say anything," Lin Xi said calmly. "I just mentioned that you're afraid of injections and medicine."

After hearing this, Song Xu turned around and stormed off back to his room.

Lin Xi sat on the bed, unable to laugh even though she wanted to. She was still wondering how she had gone from sleeping on the sofa to sleeping on the bed.

It's definitely not sleepwalking; she's just a deep sleeper and not easily woken up. The most likely explanation is that someone carried her to bed, and it's obvious who did it.

Song Xu woke up full of energy early in the morning, perhaps he had the strength last night. Lin Xi checked her body and thankfully there were no marks.

From now on, her room door must be locked.

Song Xu had many unanswered messages and calls on his phone; he had to go to the company today.

He took a shower and discovered a large purple circle on the back of his neck, which made him very unhappy.

In just one night, Lin Xi had reduced him to this state; it was truly inhumane.

He had to wear a hat to cover the seven stars on his forehead.

Lin Xi was preparing breakfast in the kitchen when she heard a sound and looked up to see Song Xu dressed casually, wearing a baseball cap, sitting at the table waiting for breakfast.

This kind of outfit makes her look like someone her age.

Lin Xi placed the prepared breakfast in front of Song Xu. "Mr. Song, are you going to the company today?"

Song Xu hummed in response, then lowered his head and remained silent.

"Can you sign the contract with me before you leave?" Lin Xi had this on her mind; she needed to list the items Song Xu wanted to sell on the platform as soon as possible.

“Too late,” Song Xu said coldly.

Lin Xi looked puzzled. "But it's only six o'clock now. Don't you usually go to the company around eight o'clock?"

Song Xu stretched out his wrist and glanced at his watch. It really was six o'clock. He must have slept too much yesterday.

He glared at Lin Xi, remembering that she gets up at five o'clock every day, so it seems she wasn't tired last night.

Sooner or later, he'll make her so tired she can't get out of bed.

"Then go print it out, and I'll sign it."

"Okay, Mr. Song."

Lin Xi smiled and left, going to Song Xu's room to print out two identical copies of the contract.

Song Xu picked up the contract and read it carefully. The contract was well-written, with strict restrictions on the items that could be sold on consignment, so it wouldn't affect him much. He picked up a pen and signed his name on the contract.

Lin Xi also signed her name and handed one of the copies to Song Xu, "Mr. Song, do you have anything you need to sell right now?"

Song Xu basically changes his clothes every quarter, and Xu Wantang prepares them for him.

The weather is about to get cold, and a new batch of clothes is arriving. He only needs to keep a few of his usual clothes.

"You can decide how to sell the summer clothes in the walk-in closet."

After finishing breakfast, Song Xu went to the company.

There were few cars on the road, and Song Xu arrived at the company before seven o'clock. He was stopped by the security guard at the entrance when he entered the building. "What are you doing here? It's not time for work yet."

Song Xu took out his employee ID from his briefcase and showed it to the security guard.

The security guard broke out in a cold sweat when he saw the name on the name tag. He glanced at the facial features under the hat and recognized Song Xu. He quickly returned the name tag, saying, "So it's President Song. You're here very early today."

Song Xu hummed in agreement and walked toward the elevator.

Apart from the security guards and cleaners, Song Xu was the only person in the entire office building.

Song Xu started dealing with yesterday's work, and regardless of whether it was working hours or not, he began to harass Zhang Qing.

Zhang Qing was woken up by his phone vibrating. Who could it be calling so early in the morning? He held the phone to his ear with his eyes still closed, his tone impatient, "Who is it?"

"It's me. Send me the minutes from yesterday's meeting with the company's senior management." Song Xu's deep voice rang in Zhang Qing's ear.

Zhang Qing sat up with a jolt, picked up his phone and looked at the screen. It was 7:10 a.m., and the caller was Boss Song.

I checked again, and it's correct. "Mr. Song, you've arrived at the company?"

Song Xu hummed in agreement. "You called me fifty-six times yesterday."

Zhang Qing swallowed hard. "That's because I couldn't get in touch with you."

“We can get in touch now,” Song Xu said, his voice devoid of emotion. “Send it to me as soon as possible.”

Song Xu hung up the phone after speaking.

Zhang Qing rubbed his face. He had to go to the company to post it; he hadn't brought his computer back yesterday.

At 7:40, Zhang Qing appeared in Song Xu's office.

He saw a man wearing a baseball cap and casual clothes sitting behind a desk.

Zhang Qing bent down to look at the face under the hat, and met Song Xu's cold gaze.

“President Song,” Zhang Qing straightened up, “Why are you wearing a hat today? I almost didn’t recognize you.”

The reason, of course, was not to be told to others. Song Xu did not answer the question, but said, "Bring over all the documents that require my signature."

"Okay, Mr. Song."

Song Xu was busy until 11 o'clock before he finished dealing with yesterday's work. Just as he was about to take a break, the internal phone rang.

He pressed the answer button: "Dad?"

"Come up here," Song Qingshi said before hanging up the phone.

Song Xu got up, took the elevator to the 23rd floor, and went straight into the president's office.

"Dad, what's up?" Song Xu asked, sitting opposite Song Qingshi.

Song Qingshi frowned and glanced at him, her tone displeased, "What are you doing wearing a hat in the office? Take it off."

Song Xu dared not disobey his father. He took a deep breath and took off his baseball cap. His hair was short and choppy, and his forehead was not covered at all.

When Song Qingshi saw Song Xu's forehead, he was stunned. "What happened to your forehead? Did something bite you?"
