Song Xu took out his phone and made a call to the caregiver who was looking after Grandma Lin. He learned that Lin Xi had not gone to the hospital, so the only place she could have gone was the tenement building where she used to live.
"Xiaoqi, take a taxi home yourself, or have your driver come pick you up. I have an emergency and I have to go." Song Xu said, then turned and left.
"Song Xu!" Lu Yunqi called out twice, but Song Xu didn't turn around and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

"Xi Xi, what nonsense are you talking about? I do have a girlfriend," Song Xuyi said, pulling Lin Xi into a tight embrace. "My girlfriend's name is Lin Xi."
“That was a fake girlfriend,” Lin Xi said calmly.
Song Xu hummed in agreement. "That one before was definitely a bit fake. Do you know what a real girlfriend is like?"
Lin Xi didn't say anything. She had never really been in a relationship, but she had seen some in high school. It was nothing more than eating together, getting together to discuss problems after class, and passing notes during class.
