Chapter 236 I Need to Find Male Models
“Of course we’re bringing her back to the Lu family,” Lu Yunzhou glanced at Song Xu. “Do you expect Xixi to go back with you and be your nanny?”
“That’s not what I meant,” Song Xu said, touching his nose. He didn’t want to live separately from Lin Xi. “I won’t let Xi Xi do housework anymore.”
"You think you can have my sister as your nanny? You're not worthy!" Lu Yunzhou felt resentful whenever he thought about how his younger sister had been treated like a slave by Song Xu.
“Brother,” Lin Xi felt that her brother was quite hostile towards Song Xu, “Song Xu stopped letting me do housework a long time ago.”
Lu Yunzhou snorted coldly and glared at Lin Xi, "You're definitely on his side."
Lin Xi lowered her eyes and remained silent.
Zhou Ruolan had also been through this age. When she and Lu Zhentao were deeply in love, they wished they could do nothing but stick together all the time.
“Xixi is a member of the Lu family, so she will definitely go back to live at the Lu family home,” Zhou Ruolan said. “Xiaoxu, if you miss Xixi, you can come to the Lu family home to see her anytime. We won’t stop you.”
Song Xu wanted to say that he was thinking about it all the time, so he licked his lips and shamelessly asked, "Auntie, how about I move into the Lu family's house too?"
Lin Xi rubbed her forehead, not daring to look at her mother and brother's expressions.
Lu Yunzhou laughed in exasperation, "Xiao Xu, you really want to marry into the Lu family?"
Zhou Ruolan smiled and said, "As long as your family doesn't object, I have no problem with it. There are plenty of rooms; there will definitely be a place for you to sleep."
"Let's not," Lin Xi said, refusing Song Xu. "If Grandpa Song finds out, he'll definitely scold you."
Song Xu frowned, spending the entire day trying to find a solution.
Even after Lin Xi completed her discharge procedures, Song Xu still couldn't think of a good way to live with her.
Lin Xi was taken back to the Lu family home, which was a three-story villa. She lived in a room on the second floor.
“Xixi, this is the best room on the second floor. Lu Yunqi used to live here,” Lu Yunzhou said. “But all her things have been thrown away, and everything in the room has been replaced with new ones. If you still mind, then we’ll have to change rooms.”
Lin Xi shook her head, "It's okay, I'll stay in this room."
She walked around the room and could tell that everything inside was new.
The room was huge, and the walk-in closet was already full, with clothes, shoes, and bags galore.
Lin Xi glanced at a piece of clothing at random. The tag was still on, and it was her size. She and Lu Yunqi wore different sizes, so these clothes must have been bought for her.
Zhou Ruolan said from the side, "These are what your mother bought for you. I didn't know what kind of clothes you liked, so I bought some of each type. If you don't like any of them, your mother will buy you new ones."
“I like anything my mom buys.” Lin Xi wasn’t picky about food or clothing. She used to have very few clothes and couldn’t buy a new one in a year.
"My dear daughter," Zhou Ruolan hugged Lin Xi tenderly, "everything you eat and use from now on will be the best."
“Mom, there’s really no need for this,” Lin Xi said. “I’m used to being frugal, and I’m not used to living such a luxurious life all of a sudden.”
“You’ll get used to it eventually,” Zhou Ruolan patted her face. “You must always remember that you are the daughter of the Lu family, and you deserve the best of everything.”
"Okay." Lin Xi understood her mother's feelings; it stemmed from her guilt towards her.
Lu Yunzhou brought over a document. "Xixi, this is your equity transfer agreement. Keep it safe."
"What equity transfer agreement?" Lin Xi asked, taking the document and flipping through it with a puzzled look.
It was a share of Lu Zhentao that was transferred to her, accounting for 10% of Lu's Company. Lin Xi's eyes widened as she looked at Lu Yunzhou in disbelief, "Brother, isn't this too much? Can I not take it?"
This equity transfer agreement was too heavy a burden, putting immense pressure on Lin Xi.
"Why don't you want it?" Lu Yunzhou looked at her in confusion. "You can get dividends every year, and you don't have to do anything. I'll make money for you."
“It’s because I don’t have to do anything and just take the money that I feel uneasy and guilty when I take the money,” Lin Xi said. “I prefer to earn money with my own hands and brain.”
Lu Yunzhou was somewhat helpless. His younger sister was different. Lu Yunqi never felt guilty about spending money. Lu Zhentao gave her money, and so did he. She spent at least a million yuan every month.
Since he gave the supplementary card to Lin Xi, she hasn't spent a single penny, which makes him feel no sense of accomplishment; he earns money but no one uses it.
“Xi Xi is spending my money,” Song Xu, who had been standing in the background, suddenly said. “Brother Yunzhou, you’ll have to support your wife and child in the future, but I’ll support Xi Xi.”
"Xi Xi, how about I entrust all my money to you from now on?" Song Xu gently put his arm around Lin Xi's waist and asked softly in her ear.
Lin Xi felt her ears burning and numb, and half of her face turned red. "What's the rush? Let's talk about it after we get married."
Song Xu's money is not easy to manage; it's not just about cash. It requires a lot of financial knowledge, and Lin Xi feels that she doesn't have that ability yet. She needs time to improve herself.
“Then I’ll give you my bank card first,” Song Xu said, taking out his wallet and stuffing it into Lin Xi’s hand. “You keep it safe for me.”
Inside were not only his bank card but also his ID card, giving him a sufficient excuse to come and see Lin Xi. "From now on, I'll report to you in advance before I spend any money."
Zhou Ruolan watched with a smile, without saying anything.
Lu Yunzhou rolled his eyes. This brat really knows how to behave.
Lin Xi needed to rest, so Zhou Ruolan had Lin Xi change her clothes and go back to bed.
Song Xu lingered, saying he wanted to stay with Lin Xi a little longer.
Zhou Ruolan and Lu Yunzhou left.
Their room was on the third floor, and the mother and son walked up the stairs together.
After hesitating for a long time, Zhou Ruolan couldn't help but ask Lu Yunzhou, "Where is your father? He won't be coming back anytime soon, will he?"
“He moved to the sanatorium last night,” Lu Yunzhou said. “He said he would stay there until you forgive him.”
Zhou Ruolan was stunned. "He really moved in there?"
Lu Yunzhou nodded. "He handed over the company and all his subordinates to me, as if he wanted to leave the mortal world behind."
“He might as well just become a monk,” Zhou Ruolan sneered. “He can forget about me ever forgiving him.”
What's so difficult about just living there? Zhou Ruolan dug her nails into her palms. She lived there in fear and anxiety, had to pretend to be stupid, and was often harassed and threatened by Meng Xiuwan.
"Yunzhou, find me a few handsome male models," Zhou Ruolan said casually. "I want a different one to keep me company every day."
