Chapter 219 Beat me, and all the money is yours.
"What happened?" the police officer asked.
The man on the ground was curled up, clutching his left leg, cold sweat pouring down his face. "This woman hit me and broke my leg."
Pretty people get preferential treatment. The policeman looked at the pretty girl standing to the side and softened his voice, "Little girl, why did you hit someone?"
The pretty girl snorted coldly, "He took advantage of me and touched my butt. I was acting in self-defense."
"Did you touch her?" the policeman asked the man on the ground sternly.
"I..." the man said guiltily, "I didn't touch her at all. Besides, she's a wine seller. What wine seller doesn't let people touch her? What's wrong with me touching her?"
“I asked the manager,” the pretty girl said, looking at the bar manager standing to the side. “This job only involves selling drinks, not selling your body.”
The bar manager, of course, agreed with the girl in front of the police, saying, "That's right, our bar only sells alcohol and does not provide any sexual services."
“That’s right,” the policeman nodded in satisfaction, then looked at the man lying on the ground. “You sexually harassed that young girl, so it’s normal for her to resist. It’s not good for you to lie here. If you have a broken bone, go to the hospital first.”
“He’s faking it,” the pretty girl pouted. “I know exactly how much force I used. It hurt a bit, but I definitely didn’t break any bones. He’s just trying to pin this on me.”
“It’s definitely broken,” the man on the ground groaned. “I’m in so much pain I can’t even stand up.”
"If you keep pretending, believe me, I really will break your bones!" A ruthless glint flashed in the beautiful girl's eyes.
Lu Yunzhou observed all of this and found the girl quite interesting; her personality was completely at odds with her appearance.
As the bar owner, he couldn't stay hidden in the back forever, so he came out, squatted down, and personally examined the man's calf. After pressing it a couple of times, the man cried out in pain, "Who the hell are you? Be gentle!"
Lu Yunzhou stood up and said to the police, "I am the owner of this bar. I'm sorry to have troubled you to come all this way. I just checked, and his leg is indeed not broken, at most it has some bruising."
“We’ll take him to the hospital in a bit. I’ll cover the medical expenses. We’ll try to discuss any other issues.”
The police didn't want to get involved, and seeing that Lu Yunzhou was very sincere, they nodded, "Okay, since there's nothing else, we'll leave now."
The police left, and the man on the ground was helped up. Lu Yunzhou said to the manager, "Bring him to my private room."
After Lu Yunzhou finished speaking, he went upstairs first.
The bar manager quickly led the two parties involved to a private room.
Lu Yunzhou sat in the middle of the sofa, with two rows of bodyguards in black standing on either side of the private room, each of them burly and strong.
When the beaten man came in and saw this scene, his legs immediately went weak and he almost knelt on the ground.
The girl was much calmer than the man. She just looked around curiously. This private room seemed to be bigger and more luxurious than the others.
Lu Yunzhou opened the cigarette pack, took out a cigarette, lit it, took two puffs, and exhaled the smoke from his nose and mouth at the same time.
He glanced at the man first, then asked casually, "Can you walk now?"
"You can walk now, no fractures." The man swallowed.
Lu Yunzhou hummed in agreement. "Name your price."
As long as the man names a price, he'll have his men teach the man a lesson based on that price. Is medical bill so easy to collect?
The bar manager stood to the side, his smile long gone, coldly waiting for the man to speak.
Lu Yunzhou's aura was too overwhelming. The man who was beaten knew that he had kicked a hornet's nest this time and should not have caused trouble here. He didn't dare to ask for money anymore and just wanted to walk out of the bar upright.
“I don’t want a penny,” the man waved his hand, then took out 10,000 yuan from his pocket. “This is for my drinks today, and for the broken glass. I don’t know if it’s enough. If it’s not, I can pay by scanning a QR code.”
Lu Yunzhou looked at the bar manager and asked, "What did he drink today? Was it enough?"
The bar manager picked up the ten thousand yuan on the table, looked at it to make sure it was all real money, then put the ten thousand yuan back on the table and nodded to Lu Yunzhou, "That's enough."
Lu Yunzhou glanced at the man and said, "Considering your attitude was alright, we'll let this go for now. We won't ask for compensation for your losses. You can leave now."
The man was extremely grateful and limped out of the private room, fearing that if he was even a step too late, he would be caught and beaten to death.
He thought this was just an ordinary bar, and relying on the money he had, he wanted to put on a show. But after meeting the owner, he realized something was wrong. Someone who could afford to hire so many bodyguards was no ordinary person.
Fortunately, he had some sense: he was willing to sacrifice his life for money. Money could be earned back, but once life was gone, everything was lost.
After the man left, Lu Yunzhou turned his attention to the girl. "What's your name?"
The girl noticed Lu Yunzhou looking at her, pointed to herself, and said, "Are you asking me? My name is Jiang Nian."
"How old are you?" Lu Yunzhou noticed that Jiang Nian didn't look very old, and seemed to be about the same age as Lin Xi.
"Nineteen," Jiang Nian replied.
Just like Lin Xi, Lu Yunzhou exhaled a smoke ring, "Are you still in school? Why are you working at a bar selling alcohol?"
"I'm a sophomore at a sports academy. Of course, I came here to sell alcohol to make money. My family is struggling financially, and I want to earn some living expenses to ease my parents' burden." Jiang Nian spoke frankly without the slightest hesitation.
"You hit a customer on your first day of work. How can you make money like this? You won't even make enough to cover your losses." Lu Yunzhou sneered.
Jiang Nian pointed to the ten thousand yuan on the table, "Isn't this a profit? My commission for today is in there."
Lu Yunzhou laughed. Where did this quirky little beauty come from? So composed and self-assured, yet still thinking about her commission. "How much of this is yours?"
Jiang Nian did the math, "When the manager talked to me, he said that I would get a 20% commission on any order that passed through my hands."
“Of that 10,000 yuan, I’ll get 2,000 yuan as commission,” Jiang Nian said, holding up two fingers. “But a cup was broken, so I’m willing to deduct 100 yuan from my commission and just give me a little over 1,000 yuan.”
Lu Yunzhou's eyes widened; this was the first time someone had ever tried to steal money from him.
The bar manager was wiping his sweat. He regretted hiring such a guy; he wondered if the boss would yell at him.
Lu Yunzhou stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray, crossed his arms, and stared at Jiang Nian. "What did you study at the sports academy?"
“Martial arts and traditional ethnic sports,” Jiang Nian said, sitting up straight, “I got into the school through a special admissions program for martial arts.”
Lu Yunzhou raised an eyebrow. A single martial arts move requires at least a level two qualification. He's got some skills. No wonder he's so bold and fearless.
He was eager to know how good Jiang Nian was at fighting. He pointed to a stack of money on the table and said, "I'll give you a chance to make money. If you can beat me, all 10,000 yuan is yours."
