Chapter 139 Grandma Lin's Hand Moved
Song Xu grabbed Lin Xi's hand and quickly explained, "Xi Xi, you've misunderstood."
“It’s just a concert. Song Xu and I used to go together all the time,” Lu Yunqi said, pouting. “Lin Xi, you’re not going to be jealous over this, are you? That would be too petty of you.”
Lin Xi's expression was aloof. "So what if I'm petty? Would you lend your boyfriend to another woman?"
“I’m not some other woman,” Lu Yunqi straightened her neck. “I grew up with Song Xu since I was a child.”
“Many people grew up with Song Xu,” Lin Xi said calmly, “but the only one who can stay with Song Xu until old age is me.”
Upon hearing Lin Xi's words, Song Xu was overjoyed and kissed her several times on the cheek. "Xi Xi, let's grow old together."
Seeing the two of them being so affectionate, Lu Yunqi was furious. She snorted coldly, "It's too early to say that. How can you be so sure that you and Song Xu will end up together?"

Song Xu was about to leave with Lin Xi in his arms when Lu Yunqi stopped him. "Song Xu, can I go with you?"

"I'm driving a sports car today, there's no room for a third person," Song Xu said, pulling Lin Xi to the garage.
Lu Yunqi stomped her foot and could only return to her car.

Song Xu kissed and coaxed, "I'm asking Brother Yunzhou for help. Letting her come along is only for Brother Yunzhou's sake."

Song Xu parked his car in the hospital parking lot, and Lu Yunqi parked her car next to him.
The three of them went upstairs together.

The caregiver nodded. "It's true, the doctor examined you and said the same thing. He didn't call to tell you because he was afraid you would worry."
"Grandma!" Lin Xi hugged her grandmother and rested her head on her grandmother's chest. "You're finally waking up soon. Is it because you missed me so much?"
Song Xu also breathed a sigh of relief. He also hoped that Grandma Lin would wake up soon, otherwise he wouldn't know how to explain it to his brother.
Lu Yunqi watched from the side, her eyes full of disdain. How could Lin Xi's grandmother be worthy of living in this high-class ward?

"Okay." Lu Yunqi didn't make a fuss and stayed quietly with him for more than an hour.
When they reached the parking lot, Song Xu and Lin Xi got into the car, while Lu Yunqi stood beside it without moving.
Song Xu rolled down the car window and asked, "Xiao Qi, why aren't you getting in the car?"
"My stomach is a little upset," Lu Yunqi said, clutching her lower abdomen. "You guys go ahead, I'll leave later."
Song Xu assumed Lu Yunqi was going to the restroom, so he didn't ask any further questions and drove off with Lin Xi.
Lu Yunqi watched Song Xu's car drive away, removed her hand from her lower abdomen, snorted coldly, and turned back to the inpatient department.
She found Grandma Lin's hospital room and pushed the door open to go inside.
The caregiver recognized Lu Yunqi. "Miss, did you leave something behind?"
Lu Yunqi smiled and said, "No, Lin Xi said she was worried about her grandmother and asked me to come back and stay with her for a while longer."
The caregiver assumed Lu Yunqi was Lin Xi's good friend, and her expression darkened upon hearing the words "I'm worried." She said, "Tell Miss Lin to rest assured, we are all professional caregivers and wouldn't do anything unethical."
“That’s not what Lin Xi meant,” Lu Yunqi said, looking somewhat troubled. “She was worried that you would get tired.”
"Why don't you go and rest for a while? I'll stay here and watch over Grandma Lin for a bit."
The two caregivers exchanged a glance. Since they didn't trust them, they decided to leave them out of the way and let Miss Lin's friend take care of her. After all, they had already received their wages for the month.
As soon as the two caregivers left the ward, Lu Yunqi revealed a fierce look in her eyes.
Since Lin Xi is now protected by Song Xu, she can't do anything to Lin Xi, so she'll vent her resentment on Lin Xi's grandmother.
Lu Yunqi pulled back the blanket covering Grandma Lin, pinched the inside of Grandma Lin's thigh hard, and twisted it forcefully. "Old woman, don't blame me. Blame your granddaughter. Who told her to steal my man? She's a shameless slut!"
After pinching the left side, Lu Yunqi went to pinch the right side, her methods vicious, leaving bruises on Grandma Lin's body.
The pain made Grandma Lin move her hand.
