Fifty-eight stars

Fifty-eight stars

It was still relatively early, less than five o'clock, and the sky was just beginning to light up, but it wasn't very bright.

She walked to the window, and the dim light shone on her, casting a faint yellow tint on her hair.

Suddenly, there was a rustling sound on the bed. She turned around and saw Feng Chibai had already sat up, his eyes fixed on her.

Lin Tang's eyes widened and he asked in a low voice, "Why did you wake up? Did I wake you up?"

"No." Feng Chibai got out of bed, his voice still a little hoarse from having just gotten up. He walked towards the table and said, "I'm a little thirsty."

He poured himself a glass of water, then refilled it. Then he walked over to Lin Tang and handed her the extra glass. After taking a sip, he asked, "Why don't you go back to sleep?"

Lin Tang's eyes lit up. He opened the curtains a little, pointed his finger outside the window and said, "Look."

Their room had a great view, with nothing obstructing the view in front of them, and the entire scenery was clearly visible before them.

At the edge where the sky meets the sea, the morning light shines brightly, and the sea surface is mottled with faint orange and yellow spots of light. At the end, a dazzling object is quietly rising.

That is the rising sun.

Their eyes fixed on that spot for a long time at the same time. The room was silent for a while. Feng Chibai suddenly shifted his gaze, looked at her and smiled, "Didn't I tell you not to wake you up to watch the sunrise?"

Lin Tang argued cunningly, "So I chose to wake up on my own. You better seize the opportunity. After all, I may not be willing to accompany you next time."

Feng Chibai looked at her quietly without saying a word. After a long pause, he slowly said, "Do you want to go to a place with a better view?"

Although he didn't know what he was talking about, Lin Tang still chose to agree.

At the edge of the resort, near the sea, there are several lounge chairs placed under parasols, which is the place closest to the sun.

Under the still not-so-bright sky, the two sat there and watched the sunrise together.

The quiet environment easily aroused Lin Tang's sleepiness. When the sun completely emerged from the sea's obstruction, Feng Chibai subconsciously looked at the person beside her who had stopped moving. Her eyelids were already closed, and her breathing was very shallow.

He didn't know when she fell asleep, but it was windy outside and he was worried that she would catch a cold, so he bent down and picked her up.

On the way to the room, the old man happened to go out for a walk.

Glancing at this scene, he lowered his voice in fear of waking Lin Tang, "Why are you up so early?"

Feng Chibai glanced at the person in his arms and explained, "The scenery here is beautiful. It's a rare opportunity to watch the sunrise, so I came out."

The old man nodded and asked, "When do you plan to move back to the old house? Are you still worried that your relationship with Aunt Xu won't improve?"

Feng Chibai shook his head, his eyes still fixed on the spot: "No, I'm not worried about that now. I just... want to spend more time with her."

The old man could understand this reason.

He nodded, said nothing more, and walked past the two people towards the trail.

Lin Tang had no time to worry about work during the entire holiday and relaxed for a few days.

On the day she returned to the institute, Ying Yu was sitting across from her in her office, staring at her intently. He said seriously, "Boss, what's going on? You ignored my messages during the holidays. Be more careful next time."

Those words sounded like a scolding to her. Lin Tang found it a little funny. He raised his eyebrows in disbelief and snorted, "You're still taking care of me? You can't let me have a good rest during the holidays."

Lin Tang's words were well-reasoned and his momentum was stronger.

He dared not act rashly and could only say awkwardly, "Boss, you have changed."

In his memory, Lin Tang was almost a workaholic. In her eyes, there was no distinction between holidays and weekdays. She would spend all her free time in the research institute.

For a while, he was even worried that she would be on the news the next day, dying suddenly at work due to overwork.

But now it seems that he can give up this idea.

Because Lin Tang began to learn to give himself a break.

This is actually a good thing for him. After all, they have been together for a long time and have some feelings for each other. If Lin Tangzhen died suddenly, he would still be reluctant to let her go.

Lin Tang spread his hands and said nonchalantly, "Haven't you heard that women are fickle?"

Ying Yu shrugged, frowned for no reason, and asked, "Is President Feng like this too?"

Lin Tang asked in return: "What does this have to do with him?"

Ying Yuwei explained, "You used to be so diligent and dedicated to your work. Nothing can change you. So there is only one possibility."

"You've been influenced by President Feng." He leaned closer to her, his tone firm, and couldn't help but click his tongue twice, "Is this the power of love? I want it too."

Lin Tang spoke frankly and mercilessly: "Then think about it, young man. You should focus more on your work."

"As a married woman, is it appropriate for you to say these things to me?" Ying Yuyou argued.

Lin Tang patted his shoulder and said righteously, "These are all experiences of those who have been through it, so listen carefully."

When it comes to relationships, Ying Yu doesn't believe a word she says. But since he's never been in a relationship before, he's genuinely curious: "Boss, what does kissing feel like?"

Lin Tang had already started to busy himself at this moment, and replied casually: "Then I don't know."

She really didn't lie to him, after all, she had never had this experience before.

But Ying Yu still didn't believe it: "Are you two so pure?"

Lin Tang glanced at the time and threw a document to him: "Stop asking these nonsense questions and get to work."

Because the project was about to enter the final testing phase, we called everyone together for a meeting in the afternoon.

There are bound to be arguments in every meeting.

But Lin Tang could understand. After all, there is no breakthrough without competition. Besides, she would not take the conflict at work to heart. After the meeting, it would be over.

But Milson doesn't think so. He is a sensitive person at heart. When a conflict occurs, he will think that the other party will carry personal emotions towards him in the future.

After thinking calmly, he decided to go to Lin Tang and talk things out.

In the corridor leading to the office, he stopped Lin Tang in time. While observing her expression, he said, "Hey, Lin, I just thought about it and feel that the idea I proposed this afternoon was not very wise. I apologize for my offense to you."

Lin Tang raised his eyes in surprise.

Milson continued, "I've thought about it carefully, and adjusting the resolution is indeed more important. Perhaps we can try your idea tomorrow."

In the middle of the conversation, an untimely voice suddenly came from the end of the corridor: "Lin Tang."

Through Milson's figure, Lin Tang noticed Feng Chibai who had just arrived.

She did not respond to Feng Chibai's words. Her eyebrows were sharp and arrogant. She stretched out her index finger to her lips and made a silent "hush".

In an instant, the corridor became quiet, and even Milson swallowed the words he had not yet finished speaking.

Yingyu's pupils dilated, but it wasn't that he was frightened.

But in his opinion, everyone in the Feng family was a well-known figure. Even Director Yuan was polite and decent when talking to Feng Chibai. Unlike her, who directly told Feng Chibai to shut up.

This is just too cool, too pretentious.

He shook his head in admiration and couldn't hide his smile. When would it be his turn to use this trick to calm all noises? It would be a lie to say that he was not envious. He also wanted to help like her without any scruples.

After the scene quieted down, Lin Tang put down his finger, turned his gaze towards Milson and said, "You continue, or come into my office to talk? Let's discuss tomorrow's mission first."

Millson chose the latter.

So Lin Tang said to someone who was still standing not far away: "Wait a moment."

As he was about to go in, he felt footsteps following him from behind. He turned around again and said, "You too."

Then he slammed the door shut without mercy.

By the time the two of them finished discussing things, it was already past get off work time. Milson had just walked out when Ying stepped into her office.

Lin Tang was packing his things when he heard the noise. He looked up and said in surprise, "Why are you here?"

Ying Yu felt a lump in his chest and said sadly, "There's no need to be so disappointed. I'm really sad."

Lin Tang didn't have time to care whether he was sad or not, so he asked again: "Where are the others?"

Knowing who she was referring to, Ying Yu replied honestly, "Boss Feng said he'll wait for you on the first floor."

Lin Tang said "oh", picked up his bag and was about to walk out the door.

This action made Ying Yu even more sad, and he complained: "How heartless! He didn't even look at me."

Lin Tang rarely stopped for him, looked at him with a smile and said, "You are already in your twenties, so you should understand a little bit."

When she reached the first floor, she noticed Feng Chibai sitting in the lounge area drinking water, so she went over and took a photo of him. "Mr. Feng seems quite relaxed."

Feng Chibai drank the water in the cup and asked slowly, "Are you leaving?"

Lin Tang nodded and took the lead to walk towards the door.

The two stood in the awning area, waiting for the driver to drive over.

Because it rained heavily during the day, the cement ground outside was still wet. The temperature had dropped and it felt a little chilly.

Feng Chibai glanced at her and suddenly called her, along with an outstretched arm.

Lin Tang was stunned for a moment, not realizing what he meant. But as his mind raced, he assumed he was going to hug him. Although it was baffling, it seemed to align with his impression of him over the time they'd been together. After all, it was a rather chilly day.

The reason of wanting to huddle together for warmth seems to be reasonable.

So she took a step forward hesitantly, blinking, and after a moment's hesitation, she finally hugged him. She patted his back and said reluctantly, "Don't push your luck. Don't push your luck."

However, a voice without any emotion suddenly rang in my ears: "Are you taking advantage of me?"

Before their bodies completely separated, Lin Tang tilted his head to see his expression and asked doubtfully, "Didn't you ask me to hold you?"

"I asked you to give me the bag." Feng Chibai raised his eyebrows, a faint smile on his lips.

During this period, Lin Tang would bring her computer home. Her computer was very heavy, and he wanted to help her carry it, but she misunderstood.

Realizing she had misunderstood, she was about to let go when Ying Yu suddenly passed by them again. Seeing this, he gritted his teeth and whispered a warning: "Boss, be careful of the impact."

He was already feeling a bit embarrassed, and now he was being taunted with this. Lin Tang put on a fake smile, rolled up his sleeves and pretended to walk towards him, "What are you nagging about? If you don't leave now, you won't be able to leave."

It turns out that this statement is still very effective.

Because Ying Yu knew that if Lin Tang got angry, he would really punch him, so he half covered his face with his hands and hurried out.

Lin Tang glared at Feng Chibai unhappily, threw the bag to him, folded his arms and pretended to be calm as he said, "It's a misunderstanding. Besides, you've hugged me so many times, so what if I hug you again? Are you shy?"

Feng Chibai replied calmly: "Don't worry, I won't be shy even if you are shy."

Lin Tang stepped forward unyieldingly and said through gritted teeth, "Really? Don't worry, I will never be shy."

After saying that, he walked towards the car that came at the right time without looking back.
