Near noon the next day, the two were still in the hospital talking with Grandma Lin.

Suddenly, the sound of the ward door being opened was heard. Thinking it was the doctor coming, the two glanced at him nonchalantly.

But the moment he saw Yu Jingming clearly, the smile on Feng Chibai's face froze, and his expression changed almost in an instant.

After all, he was in front of Grandma Lin, so he would not show his hostility too obviously. He watched him coldly as he brought in some fruits, and called Grandma Lin gently.

Lin Tang was obviously a little surprised, his pupils slightly dilated, and asked, "Why are you here?"

Yu Jingming smiled at her and explained, "Didn't you say last night that you'd be in Jingluo today? Grandma also cooked for me when I was in high school. I'm here to visit her now that I'm back these few days."

When Yu Jingming was in high school, his parents were often on business trips. Because he had a good relationship with Lin Tang, when Grandma Lin found out, she asked him to come to their house for dinner. After all, it was just cooking one more meal, so it was not a big deal.

"Then Mr. Yu is really a man of affection and loyalty." Feng Chibai said suddenly.

The next second, Lin Tang poked his arm, signaling him to shut up.

Grandma Lin didn't notice anything unusual in his words. She looked at Yu Jingming with kindness and sighed, "You looked so skinny before, but now you've grown stronger."

Yu Jingming smiled slightly and put the fruit on the table.

There was no chair at his end, so Lin Tang brought one over for him. The moment he sat down, he didn't forget to say, "Thank you, Sui Sui."

Feng Chibai: "..."

Because they had known each other for a long time, and Yu Jingming had a good personality, it was easy for him to chat with Grandma Lin, and from time to time he would bring the topic back to Lin Tang. Seeing Feng Chibai open his mouth to speak again, Lin Tang stood up reflexively, laughed dryly and said, "Everyone hasn't had lunch yet, right? I'll go buy some food."

Then Feng Chibai pressed him down again. He winked at his assistant, who immediately said, "I'll go buy it."

Lin Tang secretly glanced at his expression, which was very strange. He was talking and laughing just one second, but he suddenly became depressed the next second.

She picked up the thermos and wanted to pour a glass of water, but she didn't know when the water in it was empty. Just as she was about to get more water, she heard the person next to her say in a low voice: "I'll get it."

If someone is willing to run errands, Lin Tang naturally won't refuse.

After chatting for a few minutes, she noticed that the IV drip was finished and wanted to go out and call the nurse to help remove it, but Yu Jingming intercepted her again.

In the corridor, when Feng Chibai was walking back towards the ward after getting some water, he happened to meet Yu Jingming who was walking in the opposite direction.

The moment their figures were about to cross, they both stopped in tacit understanding, neither of them shifting their gaze. However, Feng Chibai spoke first: "She may be superficial in this regard, but I think you should also understand that she is a married woman after all."

Yu Jingming wasn't angry at all, and even curled his lips. He replied calmly, "Boss Feng, are you reminding me to be careful?"

He paused, his smile widening as he continued, "Sui Sui said she had compelling reasons to get married. Although I don't know the exact reason, I believe that things that are forced will eventually come to an end. I'm just preparing for a rainy day."

Feng Chibai narrowed his eyes and snorted coldly, "Mr. Yu, you really don't want to see anyone get well. Is this just preparation for a rainy day or selfishness at work? I think you know best."

Yu Jingming's eyes turned sharp for a moment, but he quickly returned to his usual composure: "Boss Feng is making a big deal out of nothing. As a long-time friend, I naturally hope for her well."

Feng Chibai feigned surprise and said, "Since this is for her own good, you should know that rumors can sometimes kill people."

Lin Tang was being watched by as many people as the Feng family. Many people in the industry knew about their marriage. If they caught her interacting with another man, what would they think? And what would the old man think if he heard about it?

He only reminded him of this and was too lazy to say anything else. With a cold face, he walked straight past Yu Jingming and left.

When I returned to the ward, the assistant had already bought lunch.

Lin Tang took the thermos and poured a glass of water for Grandma Lin.

Yu Jingming also arrived on time. Feeling rather embarrassed to bother him, Lin Tang poured him another glass.

As soon as he poured the cup, a vague gaze came from beside him, and Lin Tang could only pour him a cup as well.

She noticed that he was not in a good mood. After all, he was her husband. Lin Tang was not good at coaxing people, but she still tried to clink glasses with him, curled her lips and said, "Cheers."

This unexpectedly lifted his spirits a bit.

After dinner, Yu Jingming didn’t stay long and went back soon.

As the sky gradually darkened, the two decided to leave.

The hotel Feng Chibai had booked wasn't far from the hospital. On the way there, there were only two of them. Lin Tang finally dared to ask, "Feng Chibai, I've always felt that you have a lot of hostility towards Jingming. Have you two had any grudges before?"

When Feng Chibai mentioned someone, his eyes darkened unconsciously. He glanced at Lin Tang and said with a half-smile, "When your function is fully evolved and no longer causes other people to get stuck, you'll probably figure it out yourself."

Lin Tang frowned, stunned for a few seconds. He still didn't understand what he was talking about, so he replied angrily, "Are you scolding me? Which function of mine hasn't evolved yet? Brain? Cerebellum? Haha, I'm a top student who has completed both undergraduate and graduate studies, and you're looking down on my IQ?"

Suddenly, a hand reached across her shoulder and covered her lips. She was manually muted.

Lin Tang held his breath, slowly pulled his hand down, and said hesitantly, "This action seems a bit ambiguous."

Feng Chibai pulled his hand back and chuckled, "Its functions have evolved very well at this moment."

Lin Tang didn't understand again: "What?"

Feng Chibai didn't want to explain: "Nothing, just saying you're smart."

Lin Tang glanced at him and said angrily, "I don't want to bother with you. You're talking so sarcastic."

Then she walked faster and faster, feeling very annoyed and not wanting to wait for him at all.

Seeing that she seemed angry again, Feng Chibai silently quickened his pace and followed behind her.

On the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, the two landed in Huaizhou. That night, they returned to the old house and had dinner with the old man.

After sitting down at the dinner table, Lin Tang casually glanced at the people present. Noticing that someone was missing, he looked around uncertainly.

The old man noticed her behavior and asked, "What are you looking at?"

Lin Tang retracted his gaze and replied with a smile: "It's okay."

The old man was sitting in the main seat. He could tell who was missing from the long table by just glancing down. He asked sharply, "Where's Xiao Jing?"

Xu Jianyun quickly replied, "Oh, Xiao Jing has a performance tonight and won't be back until later."

The old man didn't ask any more questions and asked everyone to eat first.

It was just that question that made Feng Chibai realize who Lin Tang was looking for. His eyes were emotionless as he calmly picked up a piece of pork ribs for Lin Tang.

Seeing him so enthusiastic for the first time, Lin Tang couldn't help but whispered, "What are you doing?"

Feng Chibai lightly reminded: "Eat more and talk less."

Lin Tang didn't know what was wrong with him, but she didn't have much to say at the Feng family's dinner table. But someone just wouldn't give in.

If her bowl was empty, before she could even get some food herself, someone would fill it up. It was fine once, but after so many times, Lin Tang couldn't help herself: "Enough, enough, I can't finish it."

She spoke softly, but because they were so close, she still managed to hear what the old man said. He watched the two of them doing this, grinning and saying, "It's different being married. Grandpa has never seen Xiao Chi teasing anyone before."

Hearing this, Lin Tang climbed up the pole and scolded Feng Chibai: "Did you hear that? Grandpa can see that you are playing tricks on me."

Seeing the two of them talking and laughing, and making the old man happy, Xu Jianyun frowned and turned his head away to think about other things.

After dinner, before Lin Tang went upstairs, the old man took out a red envelope from his pocket and handed it to Lin Tang. Fearing that she would refuse, he also said, "Grandpa gave them all a few days ago. Since you have entered the Feng family, you are one family. Grandpa will treat everyone equally."

Lin Tang was rarely at a loss and subconsciously looked to Feng Chibai for help.

"Please accept it. This is also a token of my gratitude from Grandpa."

After getting his answer, and knowing that the red envelope looked thin and probably only contained a red banknote, Lin Tang accepted it and did not forget to say thank you.

Back in the room, Lin Tangyang was sitting on the sofa, holding up a red envelope. The light from the ceiling was shining, but it was not glaring because most of the light was blocked by the red envelope.

She suddenly felt like crying, she was so touched: "This is the first time I've received New Year's money, your grandpa is so kind."

When she was little, her parents didn't give her lucky money because they thought it was unnecessary. Even if Grandma Lin or some relatives would give her a packet of money out of consideration, it would be taken away by her father before she could even warm it up, and she wouldn't even have time to open it to see what was inside.

Later, after Lin's father abandoned her because he thought she was troublesome, the family's financial situation was not good, and she didn't want to cause trouble for her grandmother, so she sensibly asked her grandmother not to give her any more New Year's money.

Feng Chibai sat down beside her, suddenly held her hand and slowly let it go.

Lin Tang was stunned by his sudden action. She looked at him in surprise, and the next second, she felt a very light weight in her hand.

She looked at the extra red envelope in her hand and asked in confusion, "What are you doing?"

Feng Chibai retracted his hand, crossed his arms, and said calmly: "Nothing, isn't it normal to give a red envelope to your wife?"

Lin Tang had no experience in this area, so she leaned towards him and asked, "Is this normal?"

Feng Chibai replied calmly: "Well, our family is like this. Don't let me break the rules again."

Lin Tang frowned and began to recall: "But this rule was not mentioned in the family rules you mentioned at the beginning?"

Although I didn't listen carefully at first, I still managed to absorb a few words, but I couldn't recall any memory of it at all.

Feng Chibai met her gaze and explained seriously, "It wasn't Chinese New Year yet, so you wouldn't commit a crime, so I didn't mention it."

Lin Tang blinked, unable to tell whether the answer was true or false, but fortunately the red envelope he gave was not thick and was within an acceptable range.

Fearing that her childhood experience would repeat itself, she couldn't wait to open the red envelope, not to see what was inside, but also to experience the joy of opening the New Year's money.

But when she saw the contents of the thin red envelope given by the old man, Lin Tang was stunned. She took out the check for 500,000 yuan and waved it in front of Feng Chibai's eyes, asking in disbelief, "Is Grandpa okay?"

Before she could fully recover, her hand was a step ahead, and the card in Feng Chibai's red envelope was revealed. Her breath hitched, and she swallowed hard, looking at him in shock: "You are sick too!"

He actually gave her something valuable that she couldn't afford.

Feng Chibai smiled slightly, helped her put the exposed part back in, and said calmly, "It's just a small token of my appreciation, not worth mentioning, and I don't accept returns."

Lin Tang: “…”

She quickly put the hot object on the table, packed up her things, and slipped into the bathroom to take a shower.

She came out again half an hour later. Then, remembering something, she instinctively walked to the window. The night outside was pure black, with not a hint of color. She turned and asked the person behind her, "Why aren't you setting off fireworks? It's not lively at all."

Feng Chibai stood up and walked towards her, "It's too noisy, disturbing the neighbors."

Lin Tang was choked by this reason, and couldn't find any words to refute, so he could only comment on him: "You don't understand romance."

Feng Chibai was stunned when he heard this, and then he laughed a little out of anger: "I don't understand romance? It's really embarrassing to be evaluated like this by someone who doesn't understand romance."

This time, Lin Tang understood what Chun was saying. She glanced at him, covered her ears, and turned back, saying, "I don't understand."

Suddenly she noticed the door downstairs was opened, and she leaned over to see who came in.

The man below seemed to sense her gaze and raised his head without warning, his eyes meeting hers. The next second, he extended his hand and waved hello to Lin Tang.
