Lin Tang raised his eyes and was stunned when he saw Wen Yuting. He didn't know why she came, so he said instinctively, "Haha, what a coincidence, we meet again."

But then he thought again, he wasn't flirting with Feng Chibai in front of her, so it shouldn't be a problem.

The next second she said, "Unfortunately, I was staring at you just now."

Just now? That was a little bit of a mess.

Let her think about what other moves were shown in the TV series. Only by knowing yourself and your enemy can you counter each move.

She took a bite of cake and was thinking when she suddenly heard another sentence: "Lin Tang? I don't hate you anymore."

She paused and looked at Wen Yuting with some confusion: "Did I introduce myself to you?"

Her memory is not bad, but she has no memory of this incident.

Wen Yuting explained: "No, I just happened to see you during the live broadcast of the last summit forum."

Lin Tang blinked, said "oh", and took another bite of cake. He also considerately opened a clean fork, pointed it at her, and asked, "Do you want to eat?"

Wen Yuting shook her head, her mind wandering to other things. She rested her palm on her cheek, stared at her quietly for a moment, and then said, "You are truly righteous, brave, and powerful. You are exactly like the one in the TV series."

Lin Tang felt something was wrong the more she listened, so she stopped talking immediately. She pointed at herself in shock and said, "Me? Justice?"

Although she was happy to hear others praise her, she didn't dare to label herself with such a high evaluation after only meeting this young lady twice.

Wen Yuting hummed proudly and began to help her recall: "Last time at Grandpa Feng's birthday party, everyone stood by and watched, but you stepped forward in time, even though you ended up getting soaked and in a terrible state."

Lin Tang choked and thought there was no need to mention the second half.

"Besides, you don't even know." Wen Yuting remembered something and frowned, as if she was defending her. "That Feng Chibai, when he saw you soaked last time, he didn't feel sorry at all and had a blank expression. Who would be like this when seeing his wife suffer?"

After a few days of separation, she suddenly changed the way she addressed Feng Chibai, and even her attitude took a sharp turn.

Lin Tang's throat lurched, unprepared for her sudden change of attitude. But upon closer inspection, she could understand what she said. After all, she and Feng Chibai were married by agreement, so offering her a towel was a bit of a human gesture. If the heartache Wen Yuting described truly occurred, she would seriously suspect he was mentally ill.

She smiled and was about to speak when she noticed Wen Yuting's gaze shifted in another direction. She heard a voice in her ear: "Your heartless husband is here. I'm going to find my dad."

After she left, Feng Chibai also came over. A step away, Lin Tang asked, "Is it over?"

Feng Chibai hummed and reminded her: "Let's go."

Adhering to the principle of not wasting, Lin Tang drank the coffee in the cup in one gulp before hurriedly catching up with him.

In the car.

Lin Tang had just adjusted the position of his bag and sat up straight when a figure suddenly approached him.

She froze, half her face covered by his shoulder. She could feel him pushing her hair aside and a gentle pressure on her neck.

After a few seconds, the figure next to her moved away, and when she came back to her senses, Feng Chibai had already sat back in her original position.

She subconsciously touched the necklace around her neck and asked in confusion, "Why are you wearing this on me?"

The answer I got was just two simple words: "Interpretation."

Without a word of greeting, she put the necklace on, and she didn't even have time to see what it looked like. Suddenly, she felt curious, so she turned on the front camera of her phone and pointed it at her neck.

The chain inlaid with diamonds extends all the way and converges to the ornament in the middle.

At first glance, she recognized him: "Sirius."

She raised her eyebrows slightly, a smile spreading across her face, and jokingly said, "It seems that President Feng really took the time to find out about it privately."

Feng Chibai said calmly, "I need to have some common topics with you, otherwise it would seem like we're too distant."

"Boss Feng is so thoughtful." She glanced sideways, noticing his expression, and her brows furrowed. "Why do you look so bad? Did they beat you up because they didn't let you light the sky lantern?"

Feng Chibai was amused by her words and explained, "The air in the exhibition hall is not very good, but it will be fine in a while."

Lin Tang said "oh" and didn't think much about it.

This period is the time of changing seasons, and viruses are easy to breed.

In the middle of the night, Feng Chibai felt his breathing become heavy and his body seemed to be burning. He was so uncomfortable that he couldn't sleep.

He got up quietly, walked to the storage cabinet, took out the thermometer and took his temperature, which was 38.2℃.

Something felt like it was blocking his chest, making it hard to breathe. He walked over to the sofa and slammed down on it, almost as if he had lost all his strength. Fortunately, it didn't make a loud noise. After drinking two glasses of water, he gradually regained consciousness.

After a long time, he still felt dizzy. He closed his eyes in pain, as if only by blinding himself could he feel better.

As soon as I closed my eyes, my consciousness gradually faded away.

Perhaps the cup of coffee he had that night finally took effect. Lin Tang, halfway through his sleep, suddenly opened his eyes without any warning. He wasn't feeling sleepy at all, but instantly wide awake.

She turned over, trying to force herself to go back to sleep, but suddenly found that the bed next to her was empty.

There was no light in the bathroom. She sat up puzzled and glanced around before finally spotting the figure on the sofa.

She stood up, not knowing why, and walked up to him. With the faint light coming in from the window, she could barely see his frowning face.

She vaguely realized what was happening and put the back of her hand against Feng Chibai's forehead. It was incredibly hot, so she subconsciously retracted her hand.

Feng Chibai was a light sleeper, easily awakened by the slightest noise. He felt someone touching him and slowly opened his eyes again, only to be greeted by Lin Tang's presence.

He heard her ask him, "Why did you fall asleep sitting here?"

So I explained, "I have a fever and I'm afraid I'll infect you."

Lin Tang said, "Oh!" "You're so considerate even when you're sick."

Suddenly, he leaned over, got closer to him, and asked, "Have you taken the medicine?"

Feng Chibai paused, his voice a little hoarse due to his illness: "There is no medicine."

"Then let's go. I'll take you to get the medicine."

Lin Tang was not joking this time. He grabbed his wrist and was about to pull him up.

But he was countered by his power. He glanced at the time and replied calmly: "Let's talk about it tomorrow."

Lin Tang frowned: "What do you mean by 'let's talk about it tomorrow'? Are you crazy?"

"You don't have the key, you can't get out," he explained.

Lin Tang choked. That was indeed the case. Butler Wang held the key to the Feng family's front door. It was nearly three in the morning. If he had been less ethical, he would have simply woken him up, explained the situation, and asked him to help open the door. But having already troubled him once before, Lin Tang couldn't bring himself to ask again.

He could only grab the remote control and turn down the air conditioner. He then ran to another place and took out a few things from the medical bag he had brought with him and placed them on the table in front of the sofa.

She first tore open a pack of fever-reducing patches and put them on Feng Chibai's forehead, then poured a few ibuprofen pills for him to take orally.

Seeing him staring at him in a daze after taking the medicine, Lin Tang quickly said, "Don't think I'm hurting you. I'm very good at taking care of people."

As a child, she wasn't in good health and often fell ill. Her parents didn't care for her, and her grandmother wasn't around. She would take out her small savings and run to a small clinic to get her medicine. Curious, she would always ask questions. And since Grandma Lin had been in the hospital for a long time, she also took the time to learn a little about medical treatment.

At least for a mere fever, she knew what to eat to help.

Feng Chibai's eyelids were half drooped, and he slightly curled his lips, but still swallowed the pills with water.

Seeing that Lin Tang had taken the medicine and had no intention of leaving, he reminded him, "Go back to sleep."

Lin Tang pursed her lips immediately. After a while, she scolded him dissatisfiedly, "Hey, am I a heartless person? Although we are not related, we still have a revolutionary friendship. I can't just watch you burn to death."

Feng Chibai fell silent.

The two of them were standing and sitting. Seeing that he had his head down and his breathing was heavy, Lin Tang put the back of his hand against his cheek again, wanting to take his temperature again.

Suddenly, Feng Chibai raised his eyes and glanced at her, his gaze somewhat dazed. To the point that she actually saw the word "pitiful" in it.

Before she could lower her hand, he unexpectedly grabbed it. The back of her hand was very cold, forming a sharp contrast with his body temperature, making the hot-tempered person want to get closer.

As if he had lost his strength, his body seemed to have gone soft and he suddenly fell forward, with his forehead resting right on her abdomen.

Lin Tang's breathing paused for a second. He lowered his eyes and could only see the back of her head. The hand that had just been held had not yet been released.

His breathing was obvious, and the hot air he exhaled penetrated her skin through the thin fabric of her pajamas.

She subconsciously raised her hand, wanting to pat his back to provide some physical comfort.

But when it was suspended in mid-air, the idea was dismissed.

She didn't really understand what kind of person he was, so she was afraid that her comfort would be seen as sympathy in his eyes. The more noble a person's family background, the more they cared about their self-esteem.

So she chose to withdraw her hand and teased him, "Don't be so moved that you secretly wipe away your tears."

"Don't worry." He said in a low voice, "I'm not that fragile."

Fortunately, it sounds normal.

But every cold part of her hands was turned over and over by him, and was touched by his scorching heat.

Her eyelashes trembled, and she pretended to complain, "I'll be burned to death."

A soft laugh came from the front.

The curtains were not completely drawn, and a few rays of moonlight filtered through the small gap, spreading all the way to Lin Tang's feet.

The two of them fell silent tacitly, and no one took the initiative to speak.

The real estate project in the suburbs is approaching the delivery deadline. Feng Chibai has no time to pick up Lin Tang in person after get off work because he has to come back early to report the progress to the old man. He can only ask the driver to take him back to the old house and then go to the research institute to wait for a while.

Although Lin Tang did not work overtime during this period, he was easily busy and forgot about things. He would always stay for a long time after get off work before coming back.

It was dark when the car stopped in front of the old house.

When Lin Tang walked into the entrance hall with his bag, he unexpectedly did not hear the familiar sound of the TV. The living room seemed very quiet, and there was no sound of any talking.

She felt a little strange. After changing her shoes, she turned into the living room in confusion. Everyone was clearly there, but their eyes were all looking towards the study on the second floor. Everyone had different expressions, but most of them were gloating.

She patted Feng Yunjing and asked quietly, "What's going on? Why are you all standing here?"

Glancing back and forth, she realized someone was missing. Without waiting for his answer, she asked, "Where's Feng Chibai?"

Feng Yunjing shook her head to indicate that she didn't know: "I just got back too."

Hearing the commotion here, and as if afraid that Lin Tang would make excuses for Feng Chibai, he hurriedly explained: "Oh, Xiao Tang, I know you will feel bad, but Chibai did something wrong this time. The rules of the house clearly state that you cannot drink alcohol, but Xiao Chi is still secretly hiding alcohol in the room. Isn't this knowingly breaking the rules?"

She felt that since they were husband and wife, it meant that Lin Tang knew something about the matter. Given her personality, she was not above protecting her husband.

Therefore, her top priority was to clarify who was right and who was wrong, so that she would retreat and let Feng Chibai bear all the consequences.

Hearing this, Lin Tang's pupils shrank suddenly, and his brows knitted tightly together: "Hidden wine?"

"Yes, Si Ru was very perceptive. She noticed that there seemed to be something hidden at the bottom of the garbage bag, and that's how she found it."

Lin Tang's breathing stopped, and his chest felt like it was being pressed down by a heavy object, and he could hardly breathe. "No."

Suddenly, there was a noise from the second floor, and the dull sound was clearly heard by everyone downstairs.
