Chapter 87 Confessing Their Feelings

Chapter 87 Confessing Their Feelings

Fang Che made a mental note of it.

After making the bed, it was time for dinner.

The canteen was noisy as prisoners lined up for their meals.

Fang Che finished typing and found a corner to sit down.

I had only taken two bites when someone sat down opposite me.

It is seven.

Fang Che was slightly taken aback, then smiled: "Big brother, you're here too? What a coincidence!"

Qi ignored him and lowered his head to eat.

Fang Che didn't mind and said to himself, "This food is terrible, much worse than what I had back home. When we get out, I'll treat you to Northeastern barbecue, all you can eat."

"We can't get out," Qi suddenly said.

"ah?"

"This is Bangkok Special Prison, a prison for serious offenders." Qi looked up, his eyes cold. "Three years sentence, at least two and a half years. And... you might not live to see the end."

Fang Che's heart tightened, but he smiled and said, "Big brother, don't scare me. I'm easily frightened."

Seeing his forced composure, Qi's murderous intent lessened somewhat.

This boy is really strange.

They were clearly afraid, but pretended to be fearless.

She could have easily won people over with her looks and found peace, but instead, she deliberately approached the most dangerous person.

"Why did you approach me?" Qi suddenly asked.

Fang Che blinked: "Because you're Chinese. It's rare to meet someone from your hometown here. Besides, you're a good fighter, so I feel safe with you."

Qi fell silent.

The reason was too simple and straightforward, leaving him unsure how to respond.

He was instilled with the idea from a young age that everyone has an ulterior motive and that every approach is a calculated move.

But the boy's clear eyes and genuine smile made him... waver a little.

"Whatever you want," Qi finally replied, then lowered her head and continued eating.

Fang Che breathed a sigh of relief and buried his head in his rice.

He knew that Qi's vigilance had relaxed a little.

That's enough.

After dinner, it's free time.

Fang Che wandered around the playground, familiarizing himself with the surroundings.

When he got near the basketball court, he saw Li Hanzhou.

Li Hanzhou was talking to a prison guard, his expression grave.

That prison guard… Fang Che narrowed his eyes. Was he someone Zhou Wenxuan arranged?

He didn't dare look any longer and turned to leave.

"Xiao Che." Someone called out to him.

Fang Che turned around and saw the tall, thin middle-aged man in the cell who had been staring at him ever since he came in.

"What's up?"

The man approached and lowered his voice: "New guy, here's a piece of advice: stay away from that Qi. You can't afford to mess with him."

"Why?"

“He’s one of Mr. Jiang’s men.” The man’s eyes turned cold. “He’s never failed to kill anyone Mr. Jiang wants to kill. If you get too close to him, you might end up in the same boat.”

Fang Che sneered inwardly, but feigned fear on his face: "Mr. Jiang? Which Mr. Jiang?"

“Jiang Kun.” The man stared at him. “You should have heard of him.”

Fang Che shook his head: "Never heard of it. I'm just a smuggler of cultural relics, I don't know any big shots."

The man sized him up for a moment, then suddenly smiled: "That's for the best. Remember my words, stay away from Qi, and stay away from Li Hanzhou. Those two are going to be dead sooner or later."

After saying that, he turned and left.

Fang Che stood there, his palms sweating.

Was this person sent by Jiang Kun to warn him, or to test him?

Just then, I heard footsteps behind me.

Fang Che turned around and saw Li Hanzhou walking towards him.

The two were less than five meters apart.

Li Hanzhou looked at him with a complex expression, a mixture of anger, heartache, and something suppressed to the extreme.

Fang Che smiled at him and mouthed silently: Wait for me.

He then turned around and quickly left.

Li Hanzhou stood there, watching the boy's departing figure, his fists clenched tightly.

Ah Che...

You idiot!

Why did we come?

Night was falling.

The prison lights were off.

Fang Che lay on the hard bed, listening to the snoring of his fellow inmates, unable to fall asleep.

My back injury is still painful, and my ankle is swollen.

But none of that could compare to the anxiety in my heart.

Brother Li is right here, in a dangerous situation.

Jiang Kun's men were watching that Qi Ye...

He turned over and looked at the bunk opposite him.

Qi lay there, breathing steadily, but Fang Che knew he wasn't asleep either.

How could an assassin be sound asleep in an unfamiliar place?

Time passed little by little.

At two o'clock in the morning, Fang Che quietly got up.

He groped his way to the cell door in the dark and peered out through the crack.

The corridor was dimly lit, and the guard was dozing off.

He glanced back and saw Seven's eyes open in the darkness, looking at him.

Fang Che smiled at him and mouthed: Go to the toilet.

Then he gently pushed the door open... He had tampered with the lock using wire beforehand, so it could be opened.

Slipping out of his cell, Fang Che tiptoed towards the stairs. According to the floor plan he had memorized, Li Hanzhou's cell was on the second floor of Block B.

He has to go see him.

I have to go.

Even if it's just to meet once, or exchange a single word.

Walking through the corridor, down the stairs, avoiding the patrolling guards... Fang Che's heart pounded like a drum.

Finally, he arrived at Zone B.

Li Hanzhou's cell is 206.

Fang Che peered through the small window in the door.

Moonlight streamed in through the high window, barely illuminating the outline of the room.

There were six bunks, and Li Hanzhou slept on the lower bunk closest to the door.

He didn't seem to be asleep either, staring at the ceiling with his eyes open.

Fang Che gently knocked on the door.

Li Hanzhou suddenly sat up and looked towards the door.

The two looked at each other through the small window.

Li Hanzhou's eyes reddened.

Fang Che felt a lump in his throat.

"Brother Li..."

Li Hanzhou rushed to the door, grabbed the iron bars, and said in a low voice, but couldn't hide his anger: "Fang Che! Are you crazy?! Who let you in?!"

"I came here of my own accord." Fang Che smiled, but tears rolled down his cheeks. "Brother Li, I missed you."

Li Hanzhou was terrified.

He looked at the boy's pale face, the dark circles under his eyes, and the faint outline of bandages under his prison uniform, and his heart felt like it was being twisted by a knife.

"Are you injured?"

"It's just a minor injury, nothing serious." Fang Che wiped his face. "Brother Li, how are you? Has anyone been giving you trouble?"

"I'm fine." Li Hanzhou's hand reached through the iron bars, trying to touch his face, but he couldn't reach it. "A-Che, be good, find Zhou Wenxuan tomorrow and have him get you out. It's too dangerous here, Jiang Kun's men..."

“I know.” Fang Che interrupted him. “Brother Li, I know everything. Zhou Wenxuan told me about Lu Che.”

Li Hanzhou's eyes darkened instantly: "Then you should leave even more. This is a feud between me and Jiang Kun, don't get involved."

“I’m already involved.” Fang Che looked at him seriously. “Brother Li, you’ve done so much for me, this time it’s my turn to protect you. I’m not leaving, I want to go out with you.”

"Ah Che!" Li Hanzhou cried out anxiously, "This is no joke! You'll lose your life!"

"Then you should live well and protect me." Fang Che smiled again, but tears kept flowing. "Brother Li, I came all the way from Hong Kong, can't you say something nice?"

Looking at his tear-streaked face, Li Hanzhou felt all the anger, worry, and fear in his heart turn into pain.

He reached out and punched through the iron bars, hitting the boy's cheek.

Blood trickled down between his fingers.

"A-Che," he gently wiped away Fang Che's tears, "Why were you so foolish?"

"I'm so stupid." Fang Che grabbed his hand and pressed it against his face. "Brother Li, I've made up my mind. After we get out, I'll confess to you. No matter if you're a man or a woman, no matter what others say, I want to be with you."

Li Hanzhou was stunned.

He stared at Fang Che, almost unable to believe what he was hearing.

"What did you say?"

"I said, I like you." Fang Che said, each word distinct. "Not the kind of liking you have for a brother, but the kind of liking where I want to spend my life with you. Brother Li, are you willing?"

Li Hanzhou's tears finally fell.

This was the first time he had cried in front of Fang Che.

Fang Che panicked and frantically tried to wipe away his tears, but he couldn't reach him through the iron bars.

"Brother Li, don't cry... If you don't want to, then forget it, just pretend I didn't say anything..."

“I do.” Li Hanzhou interrupted him, his voice choked with emotion. “A-Che, I’ve been waiting for these words for so long.”

Fang Che smiled, but his tears flowed even more fiercely.

The two stood separated by iron bars, their hands clasped tightly, tears streaming down their faces.

The moonlight fell silently.

At that moment, the coldness, danger, and oppression of the prison seemed to vanish completely.

Only two people remained, two hearts that had finally come out.

Li Hanzhou looked at Fang Che and suddenly said, "A-Che, come closer."

Fang Che leaned closer.

Li Hanzhou lowered his head and kissed his lips through the iron bars.

The kiss was light and short, devoid of passion, filled only with tenderness and boundless love.

Fang Che closed his eyes.

Tears streamed down her cheeks.

Li Hanzhou released him, pressed his forehead against the iron bars, and gazed at him intently.

All my words can be summed up in one sentence: "A-Che, I love you."

Fang Che smiled through her tears and grasped his hand in return: "Me too, I love you."

The two were so immersed in the warmth of their reunion that they didn't realize—

At the corner of the corridor, Alai covered his mouth and stared wide-eyed.

He saw it all.

I saw Li Hanzhou's tears, I saw the two kissing, I saw the happiness on the handsome young man's face.

Alai's nails dug into her palms, her eyes brimming with jealousy and hatred.

This person...

It's Ah Che.
