Chapter 409: Talking nonsense
The convoy of jeeps sped along the hot Surinamese roads, raising dust. No one spoke inside the cars. Jiang Renjiu was a little nervous but didn't dare show it.
The convoy finally stopped slowly in front of Jeon Yo-hwan's manor. Several armed men with guns were standing in front of the door, but after seeing the faces of Park David and Byeon Ki-tae, they let them pass.
The gate of the manor slowly opened, and Jiang Renjiu looked at the interior of the manor through the window. The sunlight was shining through the gaps between the tropical trees and falling on the path in the manor not far from the road.
The convoy of jeeps shuttled through the trees, but Jiang Renjiu's eyes still revealed a hint of uneasiness.
Every time the jeep jolted, he would glance out the window involuntarily, trying to see if there was any possibility of escape in the event of an accident.
Park David, who was sitting in the passenger seat, could hear Kang In-gu's heart pounding. There was a hint of amusement in his eyes, just like a cat spying on its prey in the jungle at night.
"Jiang Renjiuxi," Park David said deliberately, "You made the right choice by choosing us. After all, what's the point of doing business with people who don't speak the same language?"
The jeep quickly stopped in front of a small fountain, and Jiang Renjiu subconsciously leaned against the window to take a look ahead.
Bian Jitai, who was in the car in front, got out with a look of bitterness and hatred on his face. He walked over and opened the door of the jeep.
Jiang Renjiu turned his head to look at him, hiding his panic, and even wanted to shrink back.
David Park saw his reaction and a smile appeared on his face.
Byeon Ki-tae originally wanted to pull Kang In-gu out of the car rudely, but Kang In-gu was very self-conscious and quickly controlled himself from shrinking back. Instead, he grabbed the handrail of the car and got out.
After getting off the car, Jiang Renjiu's expression gradually calmed down. He walked a few steps with a swagger, trying to stay calm while observing his surroundings.
It was almost the same as what he saw in the car, surrounded by tall tropical trees, the grass was neatly trimmed, and there were many small fountains for watering.
The place is filled with guards holding rifles, wearing bulletproof vests, and with both Asian and black faces.
Bian Jitae, who was sitting beside the car, was too lazy to say anything. He just raised his hand and gave gentle instructions. Jiang Renjiu followed the direction he pointed and set foot on the road inside the manor.
On both sides are tall tropical plants, whose leaves are swaying in the hot wind.
He looked around, trying to remember the layout of the place.
Jiang Renjiu knew that he was about to face a ruthless Jeon Yo-hwan, and he had to be careful with every step he took.
Following Park David and Byeon Ki-tae, he began to walk into the manor, but before he reached the door of the building, a voice came from inside, "Ouch! My brother!"
Jeon Yo-hwan, wearing a simple white shirt and white pants, walked out clapping his hands with a smile on his face.
Jiang Renjiu stopped and looked at Jeon Yo-hwan, the drug lord who looked like a pastor, who was walking towards him with a cigar in his mouth.
Jeon Yo-hwan stopped clapping and held the cigar between his fingers. "Long time no see, how have you been these days?"
Jiang Renjiu pretended to be fearless and said, "Fuck, you shouldn't ask this."
The reason why he dared to do this was because he was sure that Jeon Yo-hwan, a guy who valued money more than anything else, would not immediately pull out a gun and shoot him.
"Why did you call me here?"
Quan Yaohuan still had a faint smile on his face, "Brother, do you know what Amen means?"
“It’s an old Hebrew word that means wishing for something to come true.”
"I pray to God sincerely to let me see you again."
“God answered me, Amen!”
Everyone standing behind Jiang Renjiu, whether it was Byeon Gi-tae or Park David, echoed, "Amen!"
Jiang Renjiu turned his head to look at them and sneered.
“That’s why you’re here,” Jeon Yo-hwan said, the smile fading from his face.
"Brother Jiang Renjiu," Quan Yaohuan said with a gloomy look in his eyes, "I only ask you one thing. If you don't tell the truth, God's punishment will drag you into the swamp of death."
"What do you want to ask?" Jiang Renjiu responded nonchalantly.
“Why do you want to go back to Suriname?”
Jiang Renjiu snorted, "Why else? To make money!"
Jeon Yo-hwan lowered his hand holding the cigar and took two steps forward.
Although he is shorter than Kang In-gu, Kang In-gu still loses when they look at each other.
"I'll ask you again, please tell me the real reason."
Jiang Renjiu still maintained the same attitude.
Jeon Yo-hwan walked forward until they were almost face to face. "Why did you come back?"
"make money."
Jeon Yo-hwan stared at him for a while, then took a few steps back and laughed out loud.
He hugged Jiang Renjiu and patted his back, "Come with me."
The sun shines on the exquisite facade of this European-style building in the manor.
This is a three-story mansion, and the breeze blows gently across the open-air third floor.
The surface of the swimming pool was covered with delicate ripples, and a few lounge chairs were placed casually by the pool.
Kang In-gu and Jeon Yo-hwan went up to this floor and sat on the sofa not far from the swimming pool.
After sitting down, Jeon Yo-hwan didn't rush to talk business. Instead, he picked up a fruit knife and peeled an apple methodically. "There is a believer in Daegu who sends me this every month."
"The ones sent this month are juicy and crisp."
Jeon Yo-hwan peeled the skin clean, cut off a piece, dipped it in sugar and handed it to Kang In-gu, "Try it."
Jiang Renjiu looked away and said, "Let's just be serious and discuss the matter in a question-and-answer manner."
Park David, who was sitting on the other side, smiled.
"Your soul is being eaten away by anger," Jeon Yo-hwan said, still smiling as he took a bite of the apple. "Let's all calm down."
"If it were you," Jiang Renjiu said expressionlessly, "you lost all your property and had just been released from a prison in another country. Would you still be able to remain calm?"
He looked at the luxury here, his eyes just revealing true anger, "Why did you kill my friend, Park Yingshou?"
After eating the apple, Jeon Yo-hwan laughed, "Life and death and everything else are arranged by Almighty God."
"What bullshit." Jiang Renjiu shook his head, "Nonsense."
“I asked you why you went back to Suriname,” Jeon Yo-hwan stroked the back of the fruit knife, “We got off topic.”
"Just like you said, one question and one answer. Let's finish it quickly."
"I told you I'm here to make money," Jiang Renjiu narrowed his eyes, "I heard there's a lot of cocaine in Suriname, I plan to ship it back to the Korean Peninsula to sell."
"You came back suddenly," Jeon Yo-hwan said doubtfully, "to sell cocaine to the Korean Peninsula."
"I lost all my property and the money to raise my children. These accidents were caused by some bastard."
He made a point of highlighting a certain asshole, "I have to make a killing."
Just as Jiang Renjiu finished speaking, a woman wearing a swimsuit and a thin coat came over and placed a few cigars on the table.
"Thank you, Marina," Jeon Yo-hwan kissed the woman, and then he cut open his cigar, lit it, and took a puff. "Smuggling cocaine does make money, but if you want to buy drugs in Suriname, you have to go through me."
"I plan to cooperate with Chen Zhen," Jiang Renjiu put his hands together, "He is from the mainland, has a very generous personality, and won't say these nonsense."
"Chen Zhen can only sell methamphetamine, which is artificially made," Jeon Yo-hwan pointed his cigar at Kang In-gu, "It's as worthless as Satan's spit."
"Cocaine is a natural product, as precious as God's grace," said Jeon Yo-hwan with arrogance on his face, "In Suriname, the only person who can manipulate this grace is me."
"Shit, I don't care about that. I heard Chen Zhen also has a connection."
This made Jeon Yo-hwan laugh. He nodded at Kang In-gu and said, "A smart person like you would believe this?"
He stood up, picked up another cut cigar, and walked to Jiang Renjiu. "What he called a connection was to collect scraps from the streets of Suriname, but that little bit also came from me."
"The retail price is almost the same as the purchase price, there is not much profit."
Kang In-gu took the cigar, and Jeon Yo-hwan helped him light it up.
From bodyguard Glass's observation of Kang In-jiu in prison, Kang In-jiu is a capable guy and worthy of doing this.
Jeon Yo-hwan also sighed in his heart.
After all, apart from the brainwashed believers, the only two people under his command are Park David and Byeon Ki-tae.
