Chapter 437: End of the Road
Cui Changhao and Bearded Man are also heading to Suriname, but they are departing from Puerto Rico and will arrive later.
On the helicopter, Cui Changhao's headset received a message, "Report to the team leader, Li Xiangjun's mobile phone received a text message from Quan Yaohuan, what should we do?"
"Refer to their past text messages and reply in the same way," Cui Changhao glanced at his watch. "Anyway, we can't let him find out before we enter Suriname's airspace. We have to delay."
Cui Changhao looked up and asked the helicopter pilot, "Estimated time of arrival?"
"Forty minutes from Surinamese airspace."
In Suriname, Jeon Yo-hwan was already starting to feel uneasy. After eating the barbecue, he went to the bathroom and sent a text message to Lee Sang-jun. He smoked a cigar anxiously and came in front of Kang In-gu and 'Byeon Ki-tae' again.
"President Gu didn't contact me?"
Jiang Renjiu was drinking lemon water to relieve his greasiness. "No, he said he would contact me after the transaction. What's wrong?"
Jiang Renjiu looked at Jeon Yo-hwan, knowing that the operation over there should be going smoothly, "Didn't Sang-jun call?"
Quan Yaohuan forced a smile, but his eyes were already turning cold.
He took out his cell phone and took a look, only to find that Li Xiangjun had not sent him any message.
Feeling a little anxious, he took the initiative to call Li Xiangjun, but the line was always busy.
In a makeshift interrogation room in Puerto Rico, Lee Sang-jun's hands were handcuffed to a chair, and he stared at his vibrating cell phone with an expressionless face.
"In thirty minutes, Jeon Yo-hwan will be arrested. Do you think he will admit everything and take personal responsibility?" an NIA official advised, "He will definitely need a scapegoat. Who will be that scapegoat?"
Li Xiangjun, the most brainwashed believer, simply raised his eyelids and said calmly: "We should not cooperate with pagans. This is not God's way."
Seeing that he was not moved by any persuasion, the NIA official had a headache.
"If you sell drugs in South Korea, you will violate South Korean law and the maximum sentence is only ten years."
The senior official sat opposite him and said, "But if the DEA uses the laws of this country, you will die in an American prison."
He stared at the indifferent Li Xiangjun and shook his head, "No. You can't get out even if you die. You make your own choice."
Lee Sang-jun laughed, "The laws of the world cannot execute or threaten me."
"I know, of course I know," the important official looked at his possessed appearance and knew that this was not a normal human being.
"But it is true that in extenuating circumstances, the Korean police will actively fight with the DEA, so you have to confuse Jeon Yo-hwan."
The phone on the table was still vibrating, and Jeon Yo-hwan was still calling one after another.
The officer picked up the phone and pointed at Li Xiangjun, "Listen, whether you like it or not, I'm going to answer the phone now, and your sentence will depend on what you say, understand?"
He answered the phone directly.
"Hello?" Jeon Yo-hwan's voice came over.
"Pastor," To the surprise of the important official, Li Xiangjun actually cooperated.
"Why didn't you contact me? What the hell happened?"
Li Xiangjun raised his head and looked at the important person in front of him. "The mobile phone signal was not good just now. I checked the cash and delivered the goods. The transaction was successfully completed."
"When I get back, we'll have a celebratory drink together."
On the other end of the phone, Jeon Yo-hwan paused and said, "Okay. I got it. I'll go get a bottle of great champagne on ice. Be careful when you come back."
"Yes, Reverend."
After hanging up the phone, Jeon Yo-hwan looked at Kang In-gu with a smile, "He said the transaction went smoothly and he was going to bring the money back. I'm going to open a bottle of great champagne."
Jeon Yo-hwan smiled and pointed at Kang In-gu, who raised the lemonade in his hand and said Jeon Yo-hwan's most common words, "Hallelujah."
When Jeon Yo-hwan left, he turned his back to Kang In-gu and winked at Glass who was guarding on the side with a gun. The guards followed Jeon Yo-hwan out of the courtyard.
Jiang Renjiu also understood that the dangerous moment was about to come. He opened the briefcase at his feet, put the pistol that Jin Xiyuan gave him behind his waist, leaned on the back of the chair to cover the pistol, and observed the situation in the courtyard.
Soon Jeon Yo-hwan came back with two bottles of champagne, and even changed into going-out clothes. He placed the champagne in a bucket on the table and poured ice cubes into it with an ice bucket. The ice cubes hit the bottles, making a crisp sound.
After pouring the ice, he rubbed his hands and said, "Mr. Jiang, what are you doing in Puerto Rico?"
Jiang Renjiu was originally looking at the two bottles of champagne. He looked up after hearing this and said, "What does this mean? I'm in Suriname now."
Jeon Yo-hwan looked at him and shook his head. "No, I'm asking what you and Gu Sang-man did in Puerto Rico?"
Jiang Renjiu was stunned.
"You want to intercept my cocaine being shipped to Korea?" Jeon Yo-hwan had a vicious look on his face. He pulled out a pistol from behind and pointed it at Kang In-gu against the table.
Jiang Renjiu looked down at the gun, "What are you talking about? Didn't Xiangjun say that the transaction went smoothly and he came back now?"
Jeon Yo-hwan narrowed his eyes at him, "He said the deal was done, and we're going to have a celebratory drink when we come back. Have you ever seen Sang-jun drinking? Why did Gu Sang-wan hold Sang-jun hostage?"
In fact, Jeon Yo-hwan had already vaguely sensed that something bad was going to happen this time, but he didn't shoot Kang In-gu immediately because he still held out a glimmer of hope.
"Sangjun is also a human being," Jiang Renjiu said with a smile, "He must be very excited after seeing the huge amount of money, and he also wants to have a drink."
Jeon Yo-hwan laughed angrily, "You fucking brat!"
He raised his gun and pointed it at Jiang Renjiu. "If you don't want to die, think clearly about where my goods are now."
Just as Jiang Renjiu was about to continue refutation, he noticed movement behind him. He looked back helplessly and saw Glass, who was already standing behind him with many people holding guns, including guards and believers.
"How can you do that?" He said submissively, "You can call the radio on the plane and say you want to celebrate with champagne. What's wrong with that now?"
Seeing that Kang In-gu was unmoved and pretending to be aggrieved, Jeon Yo-hwan temporarily put down his gun and no longer pointed it at Kang In-gu.
He raised his head towards Glass, motioning him to go and ask.
Glass took Jeon Yo-hwan's phone and called Delano.
After confirmation, Delano gave them a reply, and Glass quickly handed the phone to Quan Yaohuan, "I just confirmed with the Air Force, they contacted the pilot of the Salvation Army aircraft, and the pilot told us that everything is normal. If you are worried, I can confirm it again."
Jeon Yo-hwan was not at ease, he nodded, "Okay, please."
The cell phone call was not disconnected, and Delano was contacting other people through the landline in the President's office.
Jiang Renjiu heaved a sigh of relief. "Pastor, I may offend you by saying this. Your suspicion is already too serious. As a person of faith, why can't you be more open-minded?"
Jeon Yo-hwan pointed his gun at Kang In-gu and said, "I am already very open-minded. It's just that the person possessed by the devil is too arrogant."
He hesitated for a while holding the phone, and said to Delano again: "It may not be a problem, but it is definitely a problem. Be sure to confirm the situation as much as possible."
Delano sighed, but when he thought of the huge sums of money, he nodded.
While he was talking, Jiang Renjiu took out a pistol from behind and hid his hand under the table.
Kim Hee-won, who had just used the excuse of going to the restroom, checked his pistol in the cubicle and saw the message on his cell phone that Choi Chang-ho had sent him while on the helicopter.
"Last VIP invitation, access in ten minutes."
There is a little heart at the front of this text message, which looks like a lady's sales advertisement.
The text message was sent ten minutes ago. According to the situation, it should have reached the border by now.
Jin Xiyuan came to the sink and looked at himself. His years of undercover career were about to end at this moment.
Three helicopters have converged outside the border of Suriname's airspace.
On the helicopter, the bearded man was giving instructions to the mercenaries on the other two planes.
"We don't have much time. We have to go straight to the target and capture the target person within ten minutes. After entering Suriname's airspace, we must fly as low as possible to avoid radar."
But just as they entered the airspace, two fighter jets received orders from Delano and flew over, "You have entered the airspace of Suriname. If you refuse to disclose your flight registration number, we will shoot you down."
The bearded man shook his head helplessly. "We are the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. We are here in Suriname to arrest a drug lord who smuggled drugs into the United States. We are enforcing U.S. law, so we strongly request your unconditional cooperation."
After a brief pause, the two fighter jets directly gave way to the air road.
The helicopter continued to fly smoothly, "reaching the combat target in four minutes, flying as low as possible."
Although they successfully flew into the airspace of Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname, their tracks had been exposed.
After receiving the situation, Delano immediately informed Jeon Yao-hwan.
"Wait a minute, the Air Force says the DEA just crossed the border into Suriname."
Quan Yaohuan's expression changed drastically and he stood up.
"Did you break the rules? Selling drugs to the United States?" Delano asked. "What are they doing in Suriname?"
Jeon Yo-hwan gritted his teeth and said, "I'll take care of it. You keep an eye on them."
He stared at the man fiercely, "Shit."
Just as Jeon Yo-hwan raised his gun and pointed it at Kang In-gu, Kang In-gu also raised his gun, "DEA? When did it happen?"
Jiang Renjiu laughed, "When?"
He tilted his head and pointed at Jeon Yo-hwan as well. The guards behind Jeon Yo-hwan also pointed their guns at him. "Since you ruined my stingray business? Or since I first arrived in Suriname?"
He teased, smiling widely, "I don't remember."
All the gunmen began to approach Jiang Renjiu.
"I thought you were possessed by the devil, but it turns out you were an inside job."
Jeon Yo-hwan was not afraid of the small pistol at all. He stepped forward and pressed it against Kang In-gu's forehead. "Damn it. There's no time. Answer me quickly. Where is my cargo now?"
Jiang Renjiu grinned, "If you want to take it back in the United States, the country you f*cking fear the most?"
"Get it yourself."
"Damn that bastard!" Just as Jeon Yo-hwan was about to pull the trigger, the phone rang again.
Delano's voice began to panic. "What's going on? The DEA has disappeared from the radar."
Jeon Yo-hwan looked crazy, "You send the air force to shoot them down."
"What? You want me to attack Americans?"
"This is the only way to survive," Jeon Yo-hwan gasped, "shoot them down and send the fucking troops to me."
"Don't forget, the plane that transported the drugs was a military transport plane of the Suriname Air Force!"
Delano gritted his teeth on the other end of the phone. The plane had already arrived in the United States and the pilot was probably captured. How should he deal with it?
Shoot down another DEA plane?
Delano, who never used his brain much, looked crazy. He thought, why not destroy Jeon Yo-hwan and the Narcotics Enforcement Bureau together, put all the responsibility on Jeon Yo-hwan, and then push a certain Air Force general out to take the blame.
But the prerequisite is that Jeon Yo-hwan must be dead and cannot give a confession.
He immediately contacted the Air Force and the Army, asking the Air Force to find the three helicopters and shoot them down immediately.
The army was also asked to send regular troops to eliminate the drug lords who were harming the country and the people of Suriname.
"I told you I would help you make a lot of money, why are you still doing such a stupid thing?" Jeon Yo-hwan looked at Jiang Renjiu with a bit of disappointment. "I don't understand."
Seeing that he was about to pull the trigger, 'Byeon Ki-tae', who came out of the bathroom and was not stopped because of his identity, walked to Jeon Yo-hwan's side, reached out for the gun and pointed it at Jeon Yo-hwan's forehead, then turned around and put Jeon Yo-hwan in front of himself.
The guards and believers were also confused. They raised their guns and wanted to point them at him, but "Byeon Ki-tae" or Kim Hee-won was hiding behind Jeon Yo-hwan.
"Preacher, what are you doing?"
"Jeon Yo-hwan. It's all over. Drop your gun and surrender."
Jeon Yo-hwan looked ahead with an expression of disbelief.
The sun shone through the treetops onto the jungle floor.
In the jungle not far from the manor, a roar was heard in the sky and a tornado was approaching rapidly.
The leaves trembled slightly to welcome the approaching helicopter. The rotor blades of the aircraft cut through the air, creating a strong wind that blew the grass and trees sideways.
With a slight sound, two helicopters carrying mercenaries lowered ropes, and the mercenaries began to float down from the helicopter's suspension ropes like shadows.
Everyone held tactical equipment tightly in their hands, and they did not hesitate at all after landing.
Once they landed, they quickly spread out, using the jungle terrain to cover themselves and establish defensive positions.
The mercenary's eyes were alert, his ears were listening to the sounds around him, and he was ready to deal with any situation that might arise at any time.
"The target is in the manor. We cannot determine its location for now. We need a helicopter to observe it."
"Be careful when approaching," the captain ordered, "Informants and CIA agents are also present."
It was just that the team members had just landed and the helicopter had not yet flown away.
At the horizon, fighter jets streaked across the sky, their contrails slowly dissipating on the blue screen like a comet.
After passing diagonally above the helicopter, the two missiles broke free and, with a whistling sound, quickly attacked two armed helicopters that were on mission.
The pilots of the two helicopters sensed the approaching danger and hurriedly manipulated the joysticks to try to avoid the fatal blow.
It was just that the helicopter had just completed an airborne mission and was still in low flight, so the missile seemed to have locked onto the target and did not leave its track at all.
The sound of explosions echoed in the air, and the two armed helicopters began to shake violently. They struggled in the air and lost their balance like wild animals hit by a sledgehammer.
Thick smoke billowed out of the tail of the plane, like a dark ghost wandering in the sky.
The pilots tried to stabilize the out-of-control aircraft, but all efforts seemed in vain.
In the end, the two helicopters fell uncontrollably like kites with broken strings. Their fuselages collided violently with the top of the jungle, instantly igniting the dense vegetation.
The explosion was violent and flames engulfed the surroundings, turning part of the jungle into a temporary purgatory.
The air was filled with smoke and the debris was scattered, leaving only a charred trail.
"?"
The mercenaries looked at the helicopter crashing into the jungle and bursting into flames with blank eyes.
"Suriname dares to attack us?"
The black captain frowned and urgently called the helicopter where Cui Changhao and the bearded man were, "The helicopter has been shot down, calling. The helicopter has been shot down, we have no way out."
A few seconds later, the bearded man's voice came over, "We have made an emergency landing and are preparing to use the vehicle to go to the Presidential Palace. You continue to perform your mission."
"receive."
"Sniper unit, go to the high point to search for the target location," the captain waved his hand, and two snipers stepped out first, moving through the woods like cheetahs, quietly occupying advantageous terrain, and at the same time began to use scopes to extend their sights to distant targets.
The captain watched their movements, nodded, and led the commandos like ghosts, close to the ground, using the cover of the jungle to approach the manor.
Due to the crash of two helicopters, it was no longer possible for them to sneak into the manor quietly. They had to remain vigilant, hold their weapons tightly, and be ready to deal with any situation that might arise at any time.
The sniper quickly found a favorable terrain. He gently pushed aside the branches in front of him, and his curly hair was tied up by a camouflage hat.
Even in the depths of the jungle, he could see targets hundreds of meters away through the sight.
"The target is on the third floor rooftop," he reported. "The CIA agent and civilian informant can be seen."
Jeon Yo-hwan was still being held hostage by Kim Hee-won, while Kang In-gu was hiding next to Kim Hee-won. What was hard to believe was that they had a barbecue party next to the swimming pool in the morning.
The assaulters on the ground received a report from other snipers, "The armed personnel have been alerted, and a force of fifteen people has gathered at the south entrance of the building."
"Another twenty are approaching your location from the northwest at three o'clock. Sixteen are gathering at the main entrance."
The sniper frowned, "There are four and eight people behind the north building, twelve in total."
"The target of the rooftop mission has been held hostage by an important member of the National Intelligence Agency. The civilian informant is temporarily safe. There are fourteen armed personnel, including the leader Glass."
"Once we arrive at the location, we are allowed to shoot," the captain ordered, "Prioritize clearing out the armed personnel on the roof, and make sure not to hurt the important personnel and informants."
