After finally stopping his cough, Mr. Wang and his wife looked at each other and decided to eat first and then talk about the matter.
The Wang family of three finally managed to get through this unpleasant dinner with Mei Si, and were finally able to have a proper talk.
"What exactly happened? Why did you decide to get married all of a sudden?" Wang Ma glanced at Mei Si, then turned to glare at her son and asked.
Wang Ma really couldn't understand how the two of them could have made up their minds over just a meal when everything was fine.
“We shouldn’t take Mei Si seriously.” Wang Ce Lou pointed to his head, indicating that Mei Si’s words could not be trusted.
“I’m very serious! I keep my word!” Mei Si said with a serious expression.
"Lou Lou, did you... cough! Eat some forbidden fruit?" Wang's father glanced at Mei Si, moved closer to his son, and whispered.
"..." Wang Ce Lou's lips twitched. Was he really that unreliable in his father's eyes?
When Wang's father saw that his son remained silent, he assumed that his son had guessed correctly and immediately looked at his son with the eyes of someone looking at a faithless man.
"Sisi, don't worry! When you come of age, I'll make him go and register your marriage!" Wang's father looked at Meisi and solemnly promised.
"Okay! Don't worry, Dad, I'll take good care of the leak!" Mei Si nodded, indicating that she would handle the leak well.

"Cough cough cough! That stuff doesn't taste good!" Wang's mother glared at Wang's father and said awkwardly.
"It doesn't taste good? What does it look like? What does it taste like?" Mei Si was still a little unwilling to give up, as she hadn't tried it yet.
"That's a metaphor; there's no such fruit at all." Seeing that Mei Si was interested in the "forbidden fruit," Wang Ce Lou was afraid that she would go to someone else to ask for it, so he decided to explain it to her clearly.
"What metaphor?" Meskababa asked, staring intently at Wang Celou.

"Ahem! We'll talk about that later. Right now, we're talking about your wedding." Seeing that her husband was huddled there silently, Wang's mother had no choice but to speak up to help her son out of the awkward situation.
"Wasn't this settled?" Mei Si was a little confused. Hadn't she just finalized it with Wang's father? Was there anything else to say?
"You said you'd take responsibility when we were eating? Take responsibility for what?" Wang Ma decided to ignore Mei Si's words and figure out what was going on first.
“I’ve seen the leak completely,” Mei Si replied quickly, giving Wang Ce Lou no chance to stop her.

Wang Ma looked at Mei Si in surprise, thinking that this "daughter-in-law" had come so easily.
“Ah.” Mei Si nodded.
Mr. and Mrs. Wang exchanged a glance and breathed a sigh of relief. They were glad that their son hadn't bullied the girl; otherwise, they wouldn't be able to explain it to the Mei family.
"It's just that you saw everything, you don't have to take responsibility," Wang Ma said jokingly, glancing at her son.
"That won't do; you have to take responsibility."
"He's just a kid, he saw everything, so what? He doesn't have to take responsibility!" Wang's father waved his hand and said with a smile.

"Then why don't men who see naked have to take responsibility, but women who see naked have to take responsibility?" Mei Si felt that Wang's parents were discriminating against men.

"Isn't the emphasis on gender equality these days?"

"Both men and women should take responsibility if they are seen naked."
“Yes! They should take responsibility!” Aunt Wang suddenly nodded in agreement and said.
Wang's father turned his head sharply, looking at Wang's mother in shock, not understanding why she nodded.

“Yes, yes, yes!” Aunt Wang nodded repeatedly, feeling that Mei Si was absolutely right.
