Chapter 6 Rourourou

When Coconut woke up, it found that something was different today; the adult beast with white water hadn't left.

Coconut was a little confused, not understanding what was going on. It was so annoying not being able to speak the language! Coconut realized that she should learn the local language.

Mei's mother fed Coconut Milk directly before carrying her to the main room.

Coconut was even more surprised to see adult beasts and cubs with fur on their faces.

When Mei's father saw that his daughter was awake, he quickly took her and held her in his arms.

"Daddy's chubby daughter seems to have gained weight again these past few days?" Dad Mei said happily, weighing his daughter in his hand.

"Ahhhhh (Steady, don't drop me)!" Coconut quickly grabbed Dad Mei's "skin" to prevent him from falling to the ground.

"Okay, okay, Daddy won't touch her anymore, my eldest daughter is scared." When Mei's father saw his daughter clinging tightly to his clothes, he knew that his actions had frightened her.

Taking advantage of the rare break, Mei's father planned to spend some quality time with his daughter.

Mei's father sat on the kang (a heated brick bed), letting Ye Si sit against him in his lap.

"Daughter, it's been a week since you played. I don't know if you remember." Dad Mei held two chubby little hands of coconut flakes in each of his hands.

Mei's father held up two index fingers, touching the tips of his fingers together.

"DouDou~fly! DouDou~fly! DouDou~fly! Daughter, why aren't you happy? Have you forgotten?" Mei's father asked, somewhat puzzled.

Mei's father, who had his back to Coconut Silk, did not see that every time their fingers separated, Coconut Silk's eyes also turned to the sides (Note ①).

Mei Liang, who had just finished his homework, looked up and saw this scene, and quickly called for a stop.

"Dad! Stop playing! My sister's eyes are crooked!" Mei Liang said, pointing at the coconut flakes.

"What nonsense are you spouting! Do you want a beating? Your sister's eyes are the prettiest, where are they crooked?" Mei's father glared at his son.

"Really! See for yourself if you don't believe me!" Mei Liang stepped forward, picked up Ye Si, and turned her to face Mei's father.

"What's going on? Daughter! Daughter! Look at your father, both of his eyes are looking this way!" Mei's father quickly waved his hand, trying to make Ye Si's eyes look back.

Coconut Silk found it a bit strange. She had only glanced at the adult beast's fingers a few times, so how did her field of vision suddenly widen? But that was good too, as it allowed her to see her surroundings more clearly.

The commotion caused by Mei's father and Mei Liang finally caught Mei's mother's attention. She came out of the kitchen to see what was going on.

"What's wrong? I can hear you two yelling in the kitchen."

"Wife, come quick, our daughter's eyes are crossed."

"What do you mean your eyes are crossed? Sisi's eyes aren't crossed at all! Let me see what you two are up to now!" Hearing that her father's tone was off, Mei's mother decided to check what was going on.

"Oh my god! What happened? She was perfectly fine just now! What did you two do to my daughter?" When Mei's mother saw that Ye Si's eyes were really crossed, she punched Mei's father a few times and quickly picked up Ye Si.

"I didn't do anything, just played around with her like usual." Even though Mei's mom hit him, Mei's dad didn't dare cry out in pain.

“You’re not allowed to touch my daughter anymore. Look at her eyes. What will we do if they don’t turn back?” As she spoke, Mei’s mother’s eyes reddened.

"Sizzle!" Grandma Mei, unaware that the house was in chaos, put the salted meat into the pot.

Coconut sniffed as it nestled on Mei's shoulder, finding the aroma incredibly enticing. Its eyes snapped back to their original position, fixed intently on the direction of the kitchen.

"mom!"

Standing behind Mei's mother, Mei Liang noticed that his younger sister's eyes had healed and quickly called out to his mother.

"Don't call me Mom! You two bastards, all you do is torment my daughter!"

"No, Mom, my sister's eyes are better!" Mei Liang quickly said loudly.

"All better?" Mei's mother suspiciously moved the coconut shreds away a little, and found that her daughter's eyes were indeed normal.

After the false alarm, Mei's mother refused to let Mei's father touch the coconut shreds again. She sent him to the kitchen to help while she held her daughter in the room.

Mei's mother dared not play games with Ye Si anymore, so she started teaching Ye Si to speak. Mei's mother knew that Ye Si would not speak even if she taught her so early, but Mei's mother, who could not stay idle, always wanted to find something to do.

“Mom…Mom, Mom!” Mei’s mother said, pointing to herself.

However, Coconut didn't even spare a glance for Mei's mother, keeping its eyes fixed on the kitchen.

"What are you looking at? Why are you so engrossed?" Aunt Mei waved her hand in front of Coconut Silk, trying to get her attention.

Clearly, her daughter still did not respond to her mother's action.

Mei's mother turned Coconut's little body directly to face her, hoping to get Coconut's attention.

"Aaaaaah (What are you doing? Get away!)!" Coconut kicked and struggled, finally managing to climb out of Mom's arms.

Coconut Silk quickly climbed to the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed) closest to the kitchen and continued to stare intently at the kitchen.

Mei's mother looked at her son sitting at the table, staring intently at the kitchen and swallowing his saliva, and then at her daughter, whose eyes were fixed on the kitchen and whose saliva was dripping onto the kang (a heated brick bed).

"..." Mei's mother suddenly realized that her daughter was craving something.

"You've never eaten meat before, what are you craving?" Mei's mother walked over to the coconut shreds and sat down, moving her further into the kang (heated brick bed).

Soon the dishes were ready, and Mei's father came in to wipe the table.

The table had just been wiped clean, and Mei's father was about to get the bowls and chopsticks when he turned around and found that Mei Liang had already brought them over.

"You little rascal, I've never seen you this enthusiastic before," Mei's father said, amused.

"Hehe, that's because we have meat today!" Mei Liang grinned foolishly as he helped set the table.

During the meal, everyone in the family except for Yesi sat down at the table. When Yesi saw that no one was paying attention to her, she immediately became anxious.

"Ahhhhhhh (What about me? Don't forget me!)!" Ye Si looked down at the height of the kang (a heated brick bed), too afraid to jump, and could only anxiously wait on the kang.
